Your stupid pop-ups broke my game menu

I have officially given up on this game after being a fan since 2. Ever since a few updates ago when you guys decided to start doing event popups EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN THIS GAME most of which were for content that is ALREADY INSTALLED and therefore completely useless to me, I have been having a glitch where when I exit out of the "pay me pay me pay me" popup and it doesn't fully close, leaving the game greyed out and every button unclickable. This never goes away even if I wait upwards of FIFTEEN MINUTES for it to realize that it's supposed to be functioning, and ultimately I have to close it out via task manager. It has only gotten worse with each subsequent update culminating in now with this BFF challenge or whatever you're calling it. I literally have to try starting this game 5+ times in order to hopefully have one of them eventually not include the popup and go straight past it in order to even play. The game is not worth 30 minutes of repeating the same task over and over in order to play it. I have tried repairing the game, deleting the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling. None of it helps. This happens whether the game is modded or not, so don't blame the mods because I spent weeks combing through them only to give up and try to play vanilla and have it STILL HAPPEN multiple times. This is entirely a result of EA and The Sims putting greed over actual function. I own every piece of DLC in this game and will not be getting any more. I hope you lose every customer you have.
