For the four most recent free maker packs, it's saying I must purchase The Sims 4 first. This doesn't make sense for two reasons: Sims 4 is free, and if I'm able to get into the marketplace to begin with, I clearly have the game. I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but then again, who knows? Is anyone else having this issue, or is it just me? Also, I have the first two free packs that dropped, so I don't know why it's saying this.

I keep getting this message that "you must purchase the sims 4" when I try to download the sims 4 free maker content. I bought the sims 4, years ago. It's in my game library in the ea app. I talked to the ea customer support and they were of no help. I tried clearing the cache and redownloading the sims 4.

Hi! i am having this same exact issue! I cleared the cache, tried without mods installed but I can’t seem to get the free creator packs

this has been ongoing since the 4th or so marketplace pack, where i’ll try to claim it, but the option is greyed out, and a pop-up shows saying i need to purchase the sims 4… while in the game…. on mac

I’m having an issue with the new Sims 4 Marketplace. I’m playing The Sims 4 through the EA app on Mac, and I’m already able to launch and play the game normally. However, when I try to purchase something from the Marketplace using Moola, the “Buy with Moola” button is completely greyed out.
Instead, it says: “You must purchase The Sims 4 to purchase this pack!”
I obviously already own and play The Sims 4, so I’m not sure why the Marketplace isn’t recognizing that I own the base game. I’ve already tried clearing the EA app cache, restarting the EA app, and restarting the game, but the issue is still happening.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix or workaround for getting the Marketplace to recognize that I already own The Sims 4?
