Moza Racing support is still a bit broken

  1. No preset for RS V2
  2.  CRP preset should be named CRP/CRP2 internally the same device
  3. SGP shifter has it's functions reversed (gear up on push instead of pull)
  4. No preset for CRP2 (but it's going to be identical to SRP and CRP, they are now sending out the pre-orders)
  5. HGP Handbrake only has one mode defined for both operations (direct and wheelbase). It's presets have to define both axis mode and button mode
  6. Pedals have different deadzones in direct and wheelbase presets. I normalized the values. They were lowered as well as Moza users prefer setting deadzones in software
  7. I linked the CS V2P and RSv2 dials to the appropriate icons. Sadly, there's no icon for `dial_2_press`
  8. Please, please remove the protected status from the navigation binding for all devices besides the keyboard. Some people might still feel uncomfortable with these new presets and would want to rebind some things. Everybody has their own preferences for select/back location. These functions are the most important and should be as comfortable as possible
  9. No preset for SRP-Lite pedals. Sadly, I can't help with this one at the moment.
  10. Please allow users to select "None" as a sub_device. If someone only has a wheelbase, they might be confused by the fact, they have to select random rims etc, to complete the setup. Selecting "None" would be way more understandable in such cases
  11. ES rim preset is actually for the ESX (xbox version). This needs adjustememnt and new preset for ES wheel

I patched/created these presets myself:

  • Seems like WRC devs don't care much about the Moza-user playerbase, and that's on PC. If you consider the Moza-user Xbox playerbase, things are even worse.

Devs added 'official' Xbox support for Moza R3 wheelbase, unlocking one more FFB for it (tyre friction I think) and completely ignored all the other Moza wheelbases — they show up as a generic wheelbase and have no tyre/wheel friction options. And things get even worse if you look at Moza shifters on Xbox: both HGP and SGP shifters aren't supported on EA WRC. How come, as the game vehicle variety and transmission autoselect type per car would insaley benefit from this, creating a fantastic experience like it is on — good and old — DiRT Rally 2.0.

  • It bugs me that the same patch (October 2024 I think) that added official presets for all Moza R-series wheelbases on PC, only added R3 wheelbase preset on Xbox. Same thing to shifters. I love the game, but it's a huge let down for me, considering how long it's already been without any sign of an incoming fix.

Somebody at EA/CM was either poorly informed about how Moza ecosystem compatibility works on Xbox, or, as I don't really want to believe, just lazy and rushing to deliver the patch.
