[Battlefield 1] Ongoing Server Attacks – Mass Kicks, Random Disconnects
Platform: PC Hello DICE / EA Team, I am writing this post to bring attention to a serious and ongoing issue affecting the Battlefield 1 servers. Over the past few days, it appears that the game servers are under some form of network attack or are experiencing severe stability problems that are ruining the gameplay experience for the community. Here are the specific issues we are encountering: Server-Wide Kicks (Mass Disconnections): In the middle of a match, the server will suddenly kick all players at once. It doesn’t show a typical "Ping Lock" or "Connection Lost" error; instead, everyone is sent back to the main menu simultaneously. This suggests the server instance is crashing or being forcibly disrupted. 2. Unexplained Disconnects: Players are experiencing random "You have lost connection to the session" errors, even with stable internet connections and low ping. This happens regardless of the server region or player count. 3. Missing Loadouts & Weapon Progress: This is the most concerning issue. Upon reconnecting after these server disruptions, some players have reported that their soldier loadouts have been reset. In worse cases, progress on weapon unlocks, attachments, or even DLC weapons appear to be temporarily "locked" or missing from the inventory, as if the server failed to save the post-match progress correctly due to the abrupt disconnection. Community Impact: These attacks/instabilities are making the game nearly unplayable. You cannot finish a full Operation or Conquest match. Furthermore, the issue with disappearing items is causing major anxiety within the community—players are afraid of losing progress on weapons they spent hours unlocking. Request: Could the team please look into the server logs for the affected regions? We need stability improvements and protection for the server infrastructure. Additionally, if items are lost, is there a way to restore them, or will progress need to be re-grinded? Thank you for your hard work. Battlefield 1 is a classic, and we just want to enjoy it peacefully. (If you are experiencing the same issue, please comment with your platform and region below to bring this to the team's attention.)The server crashes and I get disconnected
Hello, I am experiencing severe server issues while playing Battlefield 1: After playing normally for a while, my ping increases dramatically without reason, and then the server crashes and disconnects me. This problem happens frequently and makes multiplayer unplayable. Please check and fix the server issues. Battlefield 1 "FAILED TO CONNECT TO EA ONLINE" error.
Hello, I wanted to return to the game after all these years. I've been experiencing errors connecting to online services in Battlefield 1 for a long time. I also own Battlefield 5, but I don't have this problem with that game; I can play it directly. However, I haven't been able to play multiplayer in Battlefield 1 for a considerable amount of time. I contacted EA customer service many times, but they were never able to resolve my issue. Itried these : Use VPN Change DNS (8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4 tried and 1.1.1.1 - 1.0.0.1 tried) Use mobile phone data internet Clear EA application cache. Unlink Steam and EA account linking, and re-connect again account linking. Battlefield 1 Online error :182Views0likes5CommentsBattlefield 1 Disconnects From Internet
I just got a new 1440p monitor and wanted to see what battlefield looks like. Now whenever I try to boot into Battlefield 1 it kicks me off of my internet. I'll load into BF1 and get into a server; then, after playing for a minute or two I will completely lose access to my wireless internet connection. It's so bad that when when trying to view wireless LAN in my network connections in control panel, the wireless option has completely disappeared. I've tried every common solution online and have gotten nowhere. The only thing I can think of is that changing the game resolution has somehow caused this to happen. Has anyone solved this issue?Solved516Views1like17CommentsBATTLEFIELD 1
Eventually I know BF1 servers will shut down and hate when the day comes. I know it won't happen but before it happens would love to see bots be put in the game just like in BF 2042. That way we would still be able to enjoy the game in some form after it's taken down. Wishful thinking I know but love this game still. Thank you!111Views0likes3CommentsBF1 IS DEAD THANKS TO NO BALANCE,OP WEAPONS.
What happened to battlefield 1 is no mystery. Lack of balanced games, Overpowered weapons. How can most assault weapons be so Overpowered, eg, Annihilator, smg, all the sniper rifles are 100 damage anywhere on body. You cannot have a fair firefight anymore. All the fairness has been sucked out. Players with no skill, just pick the annihilator. And the worse part is the cross platform players, using aim assist to dominate. Or if they are not using cross platform, then the controller users are dominating games. All the sniper rifles, use double damage , so TTK AND TTL are irrelevant. Good job EA. at destroying a great game.Battlefield 1 Won't open because of origin validation (steam ver.)
Hi there bought the game a few months ago when it was on sale and finally installed it three days ago. Unfortunately, I managed to open the game only twice now. Basically what happened those two times is my connection timed out right after the anticheat finished loading, my game launched offline obviously but then I was able to connect to the servers and play normally. Problem being that after the second time, EA Origin (yes origin not EA App) is now asking me to validate my ownership of the game by registering my EA credentials in origin for some reason and when I do, it crashes instantly and prompts the following error in windows event viewer "The game bf1.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x186A1". I haven't been able to launch the game ever since, offline or online, the game seems perfectly fine it's only a problem with ea authentication that thinks my files are non genuine or something. Here are my pc specs Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700HX 2.10 GHz CPU 32 GB RAM Microsoft Windows 11 23H2, Version 10.0.22631 Graphics driver Game ready 595.71 march 2, 2026 Here is a rundown of everything I tried so far Uninstall and fresh reinstall of the game, steam, ea app, ea anticheat Also tried compatibility mode for all of these Disabled Memory Core integrity and file control access Hard disabled Hyper-V via registry Turned off overlays for Nvidia, Discord, Steam and Ea App Checked if drivers or windows itself were out of date That's all I can remember but I actually did way more than that I actually have 3h of game time while having actually only played the game for 30 minutes total so 2 and a half from only launching, crashing and testing... Please help I just want to play a product I payed for. I would refund if I could but I'm way past that point now. I now that Ea can do something if they see this post, it shouldn't be that hard. Does anybody else even have this problem?Battlefield 1 & V bug freezes my PC - hard reset needed - faulty anti cheat
UPDATE: I managed to get a normal crash rather than a full system freeze. Go on registry editor, at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers and make sure TdrLevel registry key is set to Decimal 3. If there is no "TdrLevel" create a new DWORD value, set Decimal and set to 3. Then restart your PC. My crash message looks like this now: DirectX Error DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. GPU: "", Driver: "25.5.1 (25.10.01.09-250425a-415182C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition)". This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 1024 MB of VRAM. This doesn't solve the issue since the game is still causing crashes but at least it solves the hard freeze. By opening Event Viewer I can see more info about the crashes: Faulting application name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Faulting module name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Exception code: 0x80000003 Fault offset: 0x00000000002eaedd Faulting process id: 0x0x4B20 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF6301395123 Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Faulting module path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Report Id: 06c26cb6-f765-4768-a57c-b442d5ae6366 Faulting application name: EADesktop.exe, version: 13.468.0.5981, time stamp: 0x6827adff Faulting module name: libGLESv2.dll, version: 2.1.19909.0, time stamp: 0x63ced377 Exception code: 0xc0000409 Fault offset: 0x00000000004b7c55 Faulting process id: 0x0x17A8 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF62F3565FC5 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\libGLESv2.dll Report Id: f554f8e7-f1e1-48c4-8a62-97e481b7dd00 Faulting application name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.22621.5331, time stamp: 0xe44cbdc8 Exception code: 0x887a0006 Fault offset: 0x00000000000601dc Faulting process id: 0x0x7364 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF6504D7C504 Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 330ebf06-1e99-453a-8e99-b0fe46728003 These were generated from 2 different crashes, first 2 errors on one crash, the second on another crash. Last crash it seems kernelbase.dll crashed bf1, which still suggests the anti-cheat is at fault here. Below you have the original post with the previous edits: I am experiencing this issue on BF1. As far as I've seen across the forums, the same anti cheat system was installed on BF V as well, and plenty of similar posts across the forums for both of the games. It has to do with the new anti-cheat system. I've played for 200 hours (stopped a few months ago, before the new anti-cheat update) and when I started playing again yesterday I can get in a game, and within a few minutes to a few dozen minutes the game will literally freeze (audio continues to work for a while), i can move my mouse around on the frozen bf1 game but I am unable to do any command (alt+tab, ctrl+alt+delete, windows+tab, ctrl+shift+win+b, alt+f4 etc), literally nothing. After a little while my mouse stops working too , audio cuts off and my PC is left in a frozen state, on the last frame of the battlefield game right before the freeze. This has to do with the crap anti cheat system that works at a kernel level. Perhaps it has to do with certain CPU architectures and it not being optimized for all. My system specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X AMD 7900 XTX G.Skill 64 GB RAM 6000Mhz BF1 is the only game that does this. I've also noticed I am having stutters in the game, especially the minutes before having a crash. I tried every type of fix like setting my power plan to balanced (popular fix online - doing this allowed my to have my longest session of like 20-30 minutes i think, but still crashed my PC), updating the anti cheat system from its tool .exe, removing the anti cheat files and verifying integrity on steam, trying to run on compatibility mode, running the CPU on one CCD, etc) and no luck. It's clearly the problem is from the new update and since the new update introduced a new anti cheat system and the crash seems to be a kernel-level type of crash since it requires a hard reset of the whole PC, I think we have the answer -> faulty anti cheat system, possibly on the ryzen architecture CPUs, mine being AM5. EA, I am tired of trying fixes and I will stop trying fixes since I have hard rebooted my PC at least 5 times trying to fix your faulty update. Get this sorted ASAP. EDIT: Based on the comments, it looks like there are plenty others with Intel PCs that have the same problems as well. It seems that it happens on both Intel and AMD CPUs as well as both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This enforces the idea that it is the anti-cheat that is causing the crash but it widens the search for the problem within the anti-cheat since it's no longer AM4/AM5 only. Harder for the devs, but at least we know it's not our PCs/drivers. The behavior seems to be a bit different depending on each case: some people have the same symptoms as me, others nearly the same but it ends with a BSOD, others have a freeze for a few seconds but PC recovers rather than crashing. EDIT 2: It seems that the anti-cheat is causing the GPU drivers to hard-crash at the kernel level therefore freezing the PC. Looks like it happens on a very different mix of platforms, different amd&intel&nvidia combos. If you have the same problem try stating what apps u have open as well, the ones running in the background too. Maybe it's an overlay issue or idk...4.3KViews9likes81Comments
