Questions about trading in Battlefield 1 and some weapons

Gentlemen, I really like the Battlefield series. I’ve almost bought every Battlefield game currently available, from Battlefield 3 to 2042 (I’ll have to wait a bit for Battlefield 6 because my PC isn’t powerful enough).

So I want to ask a few questions: why did updates for Battlefield 1 stop? Updating content every now and then isn’t that hard, right? Did the operations team encounter a problem they couldn’t fix?

Also, I started getting into Battlefield around 2021, and I want to know what’s up with the M1919 Submachine Gun and BAR M1918A2 Machine Gun I found in Battlefield 1. I really want to get them and keep them permanently.

I sincerely hope someone at EA or DICE can respond seriously and give me an answer. I really love Battlefield, but right now I’m losing motivation.

    Unfortunately, every game eventually reaches the end of its development cycle. Battlefield 1 was released in 2016, and its development ended around 2019 DaSong2005​.
