Camera bug in Evok Hunt
Hi I recently changed PC and noticed that when I am playing Evok Hunt now every time the resque appears my camera glitches (depending on the map it either goes black or locks at a waterfall) sometimes the cutscene doesn't even load. I still can move bc I see the minimap and other stuff the camera is just locked or black. I tried changing my video settings but nothing worked, I use steam so I tried to inspect the files and everything was good. EDIT: I’ve continued investigating things from my end, and I think I’ve stumbled across what may be the issue. I noticed that my internet connection was a third the speed that it usually is; jiggling the Ethernet cable restored full speed. Every other time I’ve checked prior it’s been at normal speed, but after frequent checking following the first drop in speed I noticed one other time where the speed was dropped, and once again in that instance jiggling the cable resumed normal speed. I played yesterday on WiFi instead and did crash to menu once, but it was without error messages and everyone else in the match crashed back to menu as well. So I’m now suspecting my Ethernet port may have become damaged leading to the bulk of my issues. I didn’t previously pick up on it because no other applications/games had been affected for some reason, and I only caught the drop in speed by chance. And because the crashes started around the time of the update announcement and other people I knew were experiencing crashes too, a problem at the EA server end had become my primary suspicion. But maybe it was just unfortunate coincidence. I’m gonna keep playing via WiFi and see if the error messages continue; if they do I’ll provide another update, but I’m posting this now because I don’t want to keep wasting anyone’s time in the event that someone from EA is looking into it, and if it turns out that my Ethernet port was the problem then I deeply apologize for any time I’ve wasted. End edit ————————————————————————————— Ever since the server-side update several weeks ago I’ve been getting regularly kicked from lobbies (sometimes during the match and sometimes before the match has even started). I’ve been playing the game regularly since 2019 and have never experienced anything like this. In the past I may have been kicked a couple of times per year at most, but now it’s happening almost every day. I’m also more frequently experienced red bar connections. Often the kicks are accompanied by error messages but occasionally I just find myself kicked to menu screen with no apparent errors, but then a lost connection error will occur when I try to search again. There have been a number of error codes; I’ve attached all the ones I’ve seen recently. I made a picture demonstrating one of the flows of error messages I receive too, where I get error 672 and then when I click reconnect I get error 721. Nothing has changed with my setup, and I’ve tried every network and graphics related troubleshooting step that EA support suggested before they recommended again that I post here. I’ve also tried completely uninstalling battlefront 2 and the EA app and reinstalling both, and the issues still persist. I noticed that battlefront 2 had a big server outage last week and the connection instability has continued, so this seems to be an issue at the EA server end rather than an issue with my setup. To those at EA who work in this area, please look into this, as something has gone very wrong and being kicked from lobbies most days is a game breaking problem. This new update or whatever happened there's a bug that makes it so each phase, all blaster units; special units and blaster heroes, sans jedi and vehicles, the camera locks up making your unit unplayable as it's stuck with not way to move, it's broke! Your mouse doesn't work and the only real recourse is to respawn, the game is broken due to this feature. Capturing teams lose 10-20 per phase and now even more recently the objective is broke, so you can't even capture. It's broke. The bug affecting players needs to be fixed, it still allows hacks and cheaters through so if it was a go at an anti hack, it failed miserably and should revert and EA needs to reset its servers due to the virus that infected it if not. When I start the game through EA or even Epic I keep getting the same 0xc000007b error code. I have already reinstalled all my Visual C++, tried running it on both my of drives, and verified the files countless times. I don't know what happened to BattleFront II on the EA app but everytime I go ahead to start up the game all I get is the pop up message in the photo below. This will stay like that for a while before the EA app shuts down I have removed storage space on my computer I have updated drivers and all but it still will not work and the last time I was able to play on this was about October or November of last year so if it worked back then they why not now? Hello everyone, I’m looking for help regarding an issue with Star Wars Battlefront II online access. I am unable to play online and always get error code 475. I have never received any ban notification, temporary or permanent. My EA account was hacked in August 2024. I contacted EA Support to recover it, and during that process my account seems to have been security-blocked. Despite multiple support cases since then, the problem has not been resolved. We are now January 2026, more than a year later, and online access is still unavailable. Additional information that may be relevant: My EA account is linked to Epic Games I received Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition through the Epic Games free giveaway in January 2021 I would like to know: if my account is still restricted or blocked, what error code 475 exactly means in my case, and how I can get my online access restored. Hi there, I mostly play supremacy, and have been crashing to menu mid-game on an almost daily basis in the past eight days. Often characters will run while fixed in place for a few seconds before the crashes. This is usually accompanied by error code 216 (screenshot attached). I’ve also experienced the crashes while loading into a match, so that I go from loading screen to menu without hitting the lobby at all, though the crashes have mostly been mid-game. I’ve also had a sudden increase in red bar connection warnings accompanied by my character freezing in place. I play from New Zealand, and usually play on Virginia (approx 200 ping) and German (approx 300 ping) servers, so I’m used to occasional connection issues. However, I’ve been playing regularly since 2019 and in the years prior, red bar connection issues were relatively infrequent, and complete crashes back to menu might occur 3-5 times per year. But in the past week, I’ve crashed about 15 times. One evening I joined three consecutive Virginia supremacy lobbies and crashed back out of each one within about two minutes of playing, before joining a fourth one which finally let me play out the match. I’ve experienced red bar connections four times this week also, whereas it was a relatively rare occurrence in years prior. All of these issues began in the 24 hours surrounding the announcement of the server-side update which took place 8 days ago. I’m aware weather in the US was bad at the time, but issues have persisted all the way through the week, and my most recent crash was an hour ago in a supremacy match on German servers. So I’m thinking the sudden connection issues are more likely related to the update rather than the weather. I’ve had a few friends who are US based crash out of blast servers where they usually don’t as well, but they’re not being affected nearly as frequently as I am, perhaps because of the location difference. I sent a report to EA support but the reply message told me to post the bug here as it was likely to be picked up by the support team sooner, hence this post. I’d be grateful if this could be addressed, as the frequency of crashes is quite troublesome. Edit: Additional info I’m playing on a Windows laptop with Ethernet fibre connection (strong connection in all other applications) and own and play the game via the EA app. I’ve tried signing out of and back into EA to no avail; sometimes this solves the issue for the rest of a play session, but the connection issues just come back the next day.
