Missing Lots, Error Code 800
I've reached the point where I just can't play this game anymore, and honestly, it's pretty heartbreaking considering the time and money I’ve spent on this game . There’s something fundamentally wrong with it; it just doesn't work properly. I’ve gone through the process of starting about six different new games, expecting things to be different each time, but unfortunately, I keep running into the same issues. Every new game eventually becomes unplayable and begins in Willow Creek, and while the lot appears to be there initially, as soon as I try to visit it, it turns into an empty lot — no buildings, no sims, just an empty lot. The other lots, meanwhile, give me an 800 error code, which prevents me from visiting them altogether. It’s the same frustrating problem every single time, no matter what I do. I even try creating a new game, but the issue persists. Why is this happening? It’s especially confusing because, although the exclamation points indicating problems no longer show up, the underlying issues remain unresolved. I’ve gone to great lengths to troubleshoot: I started a complete fresh install of the game, deleted all my mods and custom content, removed households, and tried everything I could think of. Despite all that, just when things break a new expansion pack launches, and instead of fixing anything, I’m greeted with Hey, buy this new expansion so your game can break again. The expansion looks visually stunning, but honestly, that’s just superficial because the core game itself is simply not functional. It’s incredibly disappointing because I really wanted to enjoy this game, but at this point, it is completely broken and unplayable.
Is there any new info on the Save Data bug?
June 12. 2025. I'm too afraid to play the Sims 4 because Ive been playing the same file since its release. Does anyone know if the save data bug is being investigated/ worked on? Will playing on another file only corrupt that one or will it corrupt them all??? I really want to buy the Enchanted by Nature expansion but I wont play right now thinking I could lose years of work. I was going to start a copy file of my current save so I can keep playing that one until the bug is fixed but I'm worried that it will corrupt them all anyways.How to repair Sims4
I tried to open my game today after an update after not playing for a week + getting new CC, and it kept saying I couldn’t open due to corrupted game files/mods. So I tried to delete what I thought were the problem files (but I can’t really tell) and now it doesn’t give me that message but it just won’t open beyond the Origin launch message. I keep seeing that repairing the game might fix this, and that you can do that from the EA app but it’s not working. I can’t right click on the game and when I click manage it only shows me my add ons. Please help I have no idea what to do and am hesitant to download sims 4 studioSpecific Corupted household
I cannot manage to load into any household with specific sims. It doesnt matter if I move them around separate them. I even tried saving them to my library and placing them into a new save as the original save was quite old like 10+ generations. The error code I am getting is: 110:c6d788c:9acd3711. I've also tried deleting all my mods repairing the game and uninstalling and reinstalling it. I've kindof made peace with not getting the original save back but it would be nice to at least be able to place my current sims in a new file so I can continue playling with them. Any advice would be apprechiated.
Issues with traveling/Events or going to school
So for the past couple days I haven’t been able to follow mu sim to school, do any events, do anything to trigger events or even traveling with my sims. It causes my game to not be able to save, and I cannot control anything in the game, it won’t even let me access the pie menu. I have no mods installed please help 😭 I can’t keep losing my save file
Save file won’t load – Sims freeze on load screen
Hi, I’m having a serious issue with one of my save files in The Sims 4. Whenever I try to load my main household, the game freezes on the loading screen — the plumbob spins, but nothing ever loads. I've waited 10+ minutes and it just stays stuck. This is what i've already tried: Removed all mods and cleared the cache (localthumbcache.package deleted) Tried to load older autosave versions of the same file (e.g., ver0, ver1) Created a new save — it works fine, but it doesn't include the progress from my original save, which is very important to me I did not install any new mods or content since the last time the game worked And also what's important: The save file itself doesn’t seem corrupted structurally — I’ve had someone check the file header and it looks valid (FBPD signature is present, non-zero content) I can open the game, access Gallery, and create new saves — only this household/save file won't load I’ve backed up the save file just in case. Is there any way to repair it or extract the household and lot with their full progress (skills, relationships, etc.)? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.Corrupted file that doesn't exist
I just downloaded the Sims 4 onto my new PC. I transferred my mods file over too, which has been running fine on my mac. At first, I got a notification that there was a corrupted file. Okay, I deleted it. Error still pops up. I repair my game, reinstall my game, get rid of my mods file completely. It still shows up. The file does not exist anymore. How the hell do I fix this? Because I can't even open my Sims game anymore.
Sims 4 household taking too long to load
Recently, after the Sims 4 patch, my game has been acting up, specifically, it's taking a while to load Lemme explain after creating a new household, and I click to play, it'll take about 10 minutes to even show me the world menu after it finally shows i'll click a lot to play on and it won't even load up I've tried deleting mods, localthumbcache & 50/50 method nothings working i'm literally just thinking about quitting because before the update i just had to update some mods and delete some as well i can't pin-point the exact issue
