Time Stops Running, but Animations Keep Going, Have to force exit the game

Im having an issue with my game currently that is essentially making it unplayable.

My game is updated via steam, and Im currently playing on a steam deck. I have over 300GB of free space and meet the system requirements.

Basically, my game will freeze between 12am and 5am sim time. The clock stops running, but idle animations continue (trees moving, sims moving their head etc). I can click into build mode, but I cannot click any objects. In live mode, I can move the camera. I can move my cursor but clicking anything does nothing.

I have tried removing mods and CC, this does not fix the issue and the problem still occurs in a cc-free game. I have tried verifying game files in steam, deleting the localthumbcache, deleting all homeless sims with MCCC. I also tried moving this family to a new lot which was empty, and it still occurred on a completely empty lot.

I want to just start a new save, but others with this issue note that it happens on all their saves.

What else can I try, is this issue on the Sims teams radar? I've seen a few complaints about it online since the last update.

    melissamityok​  Does this happen if you play a different household in a different world?  Do you own the Eco Lifestyle pack, and does it help to disable NPC voting?  It may be too late for this round, although a different world would have different voting "results" and thus might not freeze, if applying the results of the voting is in fact the source of the problem.  I know it happens around this sim-time of day, at least.

    As for a new save, it's worth testing just to see what happens.  At the very least, you'll have more data.

    I haven't seen any other reports of this specific freezing lately.  Freezing in general, sure, but nothing this specific, at least from the players' reports, and a lot of the freezing reports I do see look very much like system issues rather than game or save issues.

    I didn't have eco lifestyle, but I will definitely be trying a new save anyway.

    melissamityok​  I was thinking more of the specific timing you mentioned rather than the issue in general.  And this looks like a relatively uncommon issue compared to some of the crash/failed to load problems floating around, although that of course doesn't help the people who have it.

    Since you think it matches and have posted in the bug report, I'll lock this thread here.  We (the players) can't help at all with actual bugs anyway.
