Very high CPU running Sims 4
Running the latest version of Sims 4, I'm seeing very high CPU, often 100%. It seems that the game is just stealing all the CPU on the PC (and it is a relatively new PC with an i5 12th gen processor, so not a low end machine). I'm not seeing crashes (even though "crashing" was the closest tag I could find for a performance issue), so maybe this is normal for the Sims and it just uses what CPU there is, but no other game comes close to this load. Is this normal? Thanks, PeteError Codes
Since 12/9 I have basically not been able to play HUT. Every time I try, my connection lasts 10-15 minutes before I get two error codes, either: e4b6617eef28e428-0000000000009999-42f65b3a969bd2ae or b4184ae1468418e4-0000000000009999-42f65b3a969bd2ae. I can't find any record of what either one means or who to fix it, but looking at other solutions I've seen from previous games I tried the following: 1. power cycling my xbox 2. creating an alternate MAC Address 3. clearing local game files None of these solutions have worked. I am totally at a loss for what to do.19Views0likes2CommentsVision Passing Temporarily Disabled.

Since Sunday 27th October, loading into online games has stopped working. In WOC I constantly get the message "game configuration failed" whenever I am loading into a game no matter which club is used for the session. In other modes, such as versus, I get the message "failed to retrieve data" along with the error code whenever I load into a game. Every single method the web can offer has been tested and the only correlation I can think of is the system update that sony rolled out during Friday 25th October but I did manage to play a few games right after the system update. Nothing in my settings has been changed at all The workaround has been to create both a new PSN and EA-account and it works as normal Platform: PS5 When does the error occur: When loading into any online game What game modes are affected: All online game modes Network Settings: NAT Type 2 - 1000/1000 connection - Wired - Default DNS280Views0likes12CommentsPack glitches
I bought a protect the net choice pack from the hockey ultimate team store and when it opened the game crashed on me! I reset the game and went back in and tried to open the pack again from my unopened packs an the game froze again! I waited almost 24 hours and tried again an the same result! I brought to EA's attention still not working as of this post! Was wondering if anyone else is having the problem as I am with certain packs from the store?26Views0likes9CommentsError opening The Sims 4
When I try to open the game the message "Cannot open this link 'ms-gamingoverlay' appears, it started to appear after the last update, it always worked correctly, but now the game opens and closes within seconds of the message, sometimes it appears errors (I left an image of one of the errors that appear), but it usually just closes, I've tried everything, I've cleared the cache, repaired the game, removed all the mods, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing works... I'm almost formatting it, will it be that is possible resolve?14Views0likes0CommentsTHE SIMS 4 GAME DISAPPEARED
I installed The Sims 4 on my laptop and then purchased more expansion packs. However, they just disappeared. I cannot acess them on the EA app and it says that "this game isn't on the catalogue any longer". I cannot download any other games via EA app. Also, in my purchase history on my account, it doesn't appear that I have purchased any games. However, the confirmations that I have purchased are all in my email. I have uninstalled the EA app and installed it again but I cannot download anything. PLS HELP!!My game keep to desktop
Ill start playing then a few minutes later or longer too, it will just crash to my desktop. Ive taken out all my mods and CC and even started a new save and it still does it. Ive refreshed my sims 4 folder and it still does it. Just out of the blue it crashes. And ive deleted the game and downloaded the game again and it still does it. I'm playing on a new computer i just bought. It has 32 Gb of Ram and 4070 Invidia game card. The sims 4 should run on this with no problem!Display Keeps Failing While Playing the Sims 4
Hello everyone, I built my partner a gaming PC so that they could play the Sims 4 after their old computer died. Originally, everything was fine. However, the computer keeps randomly "crashing". What specifically happens is this; My partner will boot up their computer and start playing the Sims 4. They will play either on one of their various challenge playthroughs or a new household, play for as long as a couple of hours or as little as fifteen minutes before the monitor goes black and seems to cease receiving input from the PC. The PC tower itself remains on, as does the monitor, but we lose any ability to interact with it via mouse or keyboard. No matter how long we wait, the monitor does not receive any input from the tower until we turn off the computer and reboot it via the power button or unplug and replug it. After looking at various other tales of SIMS 4 shenanigans, I did the following things each time it crashed: -Updated the graphics drivers. (I keep updating them every time there is an update available). -Tested the graphics card and its power cables to make sure it was getting enough power. (It is.) -Created a config override file to include the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 (my partner's graphics card) as an accepted graphics card, complete with proper coding for max allowable settings. -Did a graphics-card test with Furmark2 x64 on high settings while monitoring temperature and power usage (all were well within safe parameters). -Repaired Sims 4 whenever there seemed to be a problem, or the option was presented. -Switched input cords, which I regularly check. -Regularly air-dusted the PC and inspected the graphics card without damaging it while cleaning with approved tools. -Run the Sims 4 in windowed mode with lower settings. While all of these fixes seem to temporarily alleviate the problem, the crashes have returned and are getting worse no matter what I do. At this point my partner can no longer play the game for longer than 30 minutes without the monitor suddenly going black . I've run two Dxdiags, one without the Sims 4 open and the other with the Sims4 open, but I've been unable to get a Dxdiag when the screen goes black and the game appears to crash. I'm at my wits end and I am starting to wonder if we just have to buy a new graphics card. The only other information I can provide is that, sometimes, when the screen goes black, a red indicator light appears on the graphics card. However, it is not flashing (which would indicate power failure). Instead, the light is a steady, unblinking red. And it only appears for a few moments before turning back off. I should also mention that the computer ONLY does this for the Sims 4 game. I've installed other video games of various sizes to test using my own Steam account (only to test on days where my partner is away before uninstalling them) and I do not see this specific problem with any of them. I've also taken a day to just run Furmark2 on as high settings as it will allow, and the computer ran fine the entire time. After turning it off for a few hours, my partner then went to play the Sims 4, played for thirty minutes, and had the monitor go black and lose all of their progress. At this point, we are only able to get the Sims 4 to run for a maximum of 30 minutes (usually it's less than that) before the screen goes black. Any help would be appreciated, as I don't think we can afford a new graphics card right now. I've attached the DXdiags I generated to this post. The one with "Sims" included in the title is the one I generated while The Sims 4 was running. Any help at all would be appreciated.
