SIMS 4 Wont launch since you've made it free.
I've seen many post about the similar topic but I can never produce a fix. I have owned Sims 4 for years and wanted to play it again only to find out that it crashes on launch. I was planning on starting from scratch anyway so I started with a 100% wipe of all files from all drives related to sims. When that didn't work, I wiped all Sims AND EA related content... still fails. Went from always working and never crashing to unplayable. What the f... did you nerds do. If its not broken DONT TOUCH IT. Please help so that I can enjoy my game again. Please reply as if I know nothing about computers.
Game crashing, black boxes over lots, fish tank glitch??
For a few days now I have been having issues with my lots. It started with one lot where I was suddenly unable to click up to the third floor and on map view a black box would appear over the lot. I did 50/50 until I thought I found the issue, it seemed to be a random CC pack. I removed it and the game was working fine. After a few hours of gameplay, I had my sim return to that same lot and the game crashed. Next day I opened the game to a different save file, opened a lot and after a couple minutes the same issue occured where I couldnt click to the second floor of the house. After some troubleshooting I narrowed the issue in this particular lot to one room and eventually to one item, which was not CC but rather the aquarium/fish tank that came with Snowy Escape. Once again the black box appeared over this lot in map. I went to another lot and tried to place the fish tank. It appears when I search it in buy mode but once I click on it and try to place it, it does not appear and sometimes the game crashes. All other fish tanks work fine it is only that one. Very random. I tried removing and replacing CC and mods and would think the issue was solved until it began again so I'm not convinced it is a CC/mod conflict. I also tried repairing the game and deleting unnecessary files in the sims folder. Has anyone had this issue before or have any suggestions? For reference I have a decent amount of CC (mostly build/buy items) and approx. 10 mods.
Game Still crashing constantly
Over two weeks ago I posted a thread, as since the game came out I have been crashing out of World of Chel games constantly. After reading up on some suggestions I thought it may be caused by me game sharing as one of the EA forum people had suggested. I have since then cancelled my game share and still having the exact same issues. How has this been happening for months with no real solution in sight? When I asked for an update it was ignored. I have tried every possible fix at this point and it's quite frustrating playing this game continuously as one of the top ranked EASHL 6v6 players in the world while rocking a 10% DNF percentage having not quit one game myself. It is all from this game crashing in the middle of a game. It happens in game, it happens occasionally in the menus but 90% of the time I am in the middle of a game and it just goes back to the dashboard.
Can No Longer Play The Sims 4 With Mods - Not Getting Past Loading Screen
As I type this, the loading screen is still going and has been for about ten minutes, which is highly unusual, it typically takes 30 seconds at least, and a couple minutes at most. I can't play a household, I can't go straight into build mode, I just get stuck here. I feel like I've tried everything. I updated all of my drivers, rebooted my pc, deleted localthumbcache, checked for last exceptions, tried better exceptions and found and removed script mods that were not have been up to date and a single broken cc, moved the mods folder to create a new one and moved my cc into that folder, moved my The Sims 4 folder and copied my saves file & mods into the new folders, and reinstalled the game and copied my saves & mods into the new folders. I also tried opening it on DX9. I was playing last week with all of my mods after the latest patch just fine, even with the last exceptions, but now I don't even have new last exception files, and the game is still loading. I even went through and deleted mods I don't use, and cleared other junk files as well...what now???
Freezing/wifi lost on loading into arenas and trios/keep getting match penalty
Ok so day one of the new season, I get it your gonna have some issues, but when I go to join a game and only when I go to join a game, some how I get disconnected from my wifi router on the level of the playstation... like im in the area where it shows how many people have loaded in and boom my playstation is just suddenly disconnected from my wifi. Apex shouldn't be doing this. And it has happened like 5 or 6 times now and my my playstation is showing everytime I have lost internet connection. I am sitting 10 feet from my router and have great signal, I would be hardwired in if I had a long enough eathernet cable. I know that nothing has changed on my end, settings and whatnot, what do I do?
Cannot launch anything
Hi folks, Error report: a5d7f7b1-1669-4bdd-96ed-8070cf9c88d5 For a while I have struggled to launch any game from EA Play. BF1 and BF4 specifically. I've uninstalled EA Play, done numerous reinstalls of games, cleared all appdata caches, turned everything to admin, and nothing seems to work. I have been having problems with being able to play PVZ. Every time I load up the game, it tells me "Uh Oh, Your unable to play online due to not being connected to EA servers." I have tried to ask EA support but everything they told me didn't work. I looked on the Forums to see if anyone had the same problem. A lot of people do, and all the things that helped these people didn't work for me. "Reset the time" I did, didn't work. "Check if its a child account" Its not, I just created an account a few days ago. I had bought the game on a steam sale. The servers are not down. What do I do? I will end up refunding the game if i cant get anything that works. Why EA still is selling a game that doesn't even work? Who knows? I'm frustrated and want it fixed. Thanks.
Blast from the Past Event Week 2 crashing + incomplete quest items
I did Week 2 of the Blast from the Past Event and the game kept crashing multiple times as I progressed through the quests. Unfortunately, just after I completed all the quests for the week and unlocked the reward objects, the game crashed and I could only open my save at a point where my quests hadn't fully finished yet. And now I have three Time Shards in my inventory I can't interact with at all, since the game considers the quests complete and I can't pick up the quest from the crash. Does anyone know of a way to reset my Event progress so I can start Week 2 all over again and get it right?
Latest Update Broke Game
I've never had an issue with crashing or freezing for longer than a few minutes before the latest update. Since this update, I have to same my game every few minutes because the game could crash at any time. Whenever my sim tries travel there's a high chance the game will crash. I have no mods or CC installed. I tried clearing my cache from my compute, from the EA app, repairing the game, but nothing seems to fix the crashing and freezing.
