I have been dealing with this for days, I've tried everything including uninstalling all everything including my games and the app.... still as soon as I re install and open the app BOOM error 500! Hey, I was playing The Sims4 yesterday, all was well. I closed the game down, shut down my laptop and went out. Upon returning I went to load up the game again but noticed that the EA app shortcut icon on my desktop was now a piece of paper (sorry, I don't know the official file/icon name), then it vanished from my desktop. I've tried uninstalling the app so I can reinstall it but it either tells me it can no longer find the file or nothing happens. It's like it's there but not there. I thought maybe it had installed, and my screen just hadn't refreshed, but if I try to download to EA app, it tells me I already have it, do I want to launch it or repair it. Neither option resorts in any change. I found the EA app location on my laptop and tried opening it from there, the app loads up, I click to play and get one of three different outcomes. It will either say preparing game, game is already running or nothing happens at all. It is like it thinks about it for a minute n then stops. I've tried clearing cache, I've tried repairing the game and the app, tried restarting, as I mentioned above, I've tried uninstalling the EA app and reinstalling, but I can't, it won't uninstall. Yes I have CC, but they are the same up-to-date and working CC that I was using a matter of hours before and all was well. What am I missing? Is it a driver issue? My EA keeps repeatedly crashing whenever I open the EA app or launch Battlefront 2 from Steam. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the app and game. I have run the EA updater and the EA app recovery. First it gave me issues such as I'm not entitled to the language that is installed. Hi, Things I have tried: Running as administrator Uninstalling the EA app Running the repair tool from the uninstaller Running the 'recovery' tool when it's working (it just stops working again when i try to open it a second time after running it). Description of problem: It takes around 20-50 tries to get the EA app not to crash when I try to open it so I can play Sims 4, or update games, etc. What happens is it starts to open, nothing loads, then it closes. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it looks like it's working and then suddenly closes. I can't predict when it will decide to work or under what conditions because nothing is consistent, but it's really annoying. Please help. :( I've attached a screenshot of how it looks before it crashes because that's all I really have. Every now and then it will say it crashed and ask me to send a crash report but almost every time it just crashes with nothing else. I repaired the EA App, uninstalled and reinstalled it, checked my Norton firewall, reset my router, ran as Administrator and tried other fixes, but the error persists. Hi, I tried to purchase new Add-on via EA app, I moved the game to the chart, clicked purchase and without even clicking on anything else I received error - Couldnt connect to servers, we ran into a problem, but a quick restart should fix it. Again without clicking to anything the screen jumped to another message - Look at that, you are back online. Restart the EA app to access online features. And again without clicking to anything the screen jumps to main page of EA app. And after all that the round starts again if I try to purchase something. I already tried everything I could think off, do you have any ideas what to do with it?? Hi everyone, I have a very specific and extremely annoying audio issue with EA games, and I would like to know if anyone else has experienced something similar. My setup: Windows 11 Intel i5-14600 KF MSI B660 Pro-A NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti GPU HyperX Cloud II headset Sharkoon Gaming DAC Pro S V2 I also own a second Sharkoon DAC Pro S V2, and both behave exactly the same The issue: Whenever I start EA titles like Madden 26, EA FC or Battlefield, my Sharkoon USB DAC completely disconnects from Windows for a few seconds and then reconnects. It is not just a short audio dropout. The device actually disappears and comes back, like it was unplugged and plugged in again. This usually happens right when the game starts or shortly after the game becomes visible. Sometimes it also happens randomly in the middle of a match. Additional problem: Whenever I try to switch to windowed mode (or sometimes borderless), the game crashes with a DirectX error. In some cases, it even freezes the entire PC for a few seconds before recovering or crashing completely. Important details: This only happens with EA games. YouTube, Spotify, Discord, FurMark, stress tests and other games are completely stable. Other USB devices do not disconnect. A HyperX USB sound card stays connected and does not have this issue. The Sharkoon DAC works normally outside EA games. I tested two identical Sharkoon DAC Pro S V2 units and both have the exact same problem. Things I already tried: Full Windows clean install Windows 11 Pro / Pro N testing Media Feature Pack installed DirectX repaired/reinstalled NVIDIA drivers tested, including older drivers DDU clean install BIOS reset/defaults Latest BIOS Different USB ports, including rear USB 2.0 USB power saving disabled Exclusive audio mode disabled 48 kHz fixed in Windows Onboard audio disabled NVIDIA audio disabled Different refresh rates and fullscreen/windowed testing CPU undervolt/stock settings tested XMP considered/tested No Discord, no Spotify, no overlays, no extra tools Tested games with zero problems: Overwatch Marathon Counter-Strike Starfield Dead by Daylight ARC Raiders Metro 2033 The strange part: The problem started suddenly. Before that, the same DAC and same PC worked fine with EA games. After that point (2 weeks ago), the issue became worse: at first the sound disconnected randomly during gameplay, and now it happens almost every time an EA game starts. Sharkoon support told me that some games can reinitialize USB sound cards and drivers when they start, and that this is caused by the game and cannot be changed by them. So my question is: Can EA / EA AntiCheat / Javelin or the EA game audio initialization cause certain USB audio devices to reset or disconnect completely? Also, were there any major updates or changes to EA AntiCheat (Javelin) or the EA App/Launcher in the last 2/3 or 4 weeks that could be related to this behavior? This really looks like EA games are triggering a USB audio reinitialization that some DACs cannot handle properly. Again: this does not happen in any non-EA game or normal desktop use. Only EA titles trigger it. Would appreciate any help, similar experiences or confirmation if this is a known issue. Tried to log into the ea app but it basically said my password was wrong. I logged into the website with the same password, it worked. I changed the password and even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Still didn't work. The new password still works on online but doesn't on the app. I also double checked to make sure the username is correct. Definitely not the issue. I have no suspended or banned cases.
