New Game Mass Effect
Hello BioWare Team, As a long-time and dedicated fan of the Mass Effect series, I would like to contribute an idea regarding story continuity in the upcoming game. Given the various endings of Mass Effect 3 and the teaser with Liara and the N7 armor, it's clear that addressing this will be crucial for many. I propose the following approach, which would respect player choices while allowing for a strong continuation of the story: * Allow save imports from any Mass Effect 3 ending: Enable players to transfer their saved game regardless of which ME3 ending they chose (Destroy, Control, Synthesis, Refuse). This would honor their investment and emotional decisions. * Canonicalize the "Destroy" ending (with Shepard's survival) through additional content: * For players who import a save from the "Destroy" ending (under conditions where Shepard survives), the new game would unlock special dialogues, side quests, and deeper interactions related to Shepard's return and their romantic relationships. This would serve as a direct continuation of their story. * Explanation for Shepard's survival: This could be simply linked to the nanotechnology and enhancements Shepard received through Project Lazarus in Mass Effect 2. If Shepard survived such an ordeal, surviving the final explosion, supported by these enhancements, would make sense. * EDI's fate: Similarly, if the Normandy could be repaired (as suggested by the scene after the Destroy ending), EDI, as its integral digital component, could also be restored in some way, perhaps in a different form or requiring reactivation. Her deep connection to the ship could serve as a bridge. * For other endings: If a player imports a save from another ending (Control, Synthesis, Refuse), the new game could assume that Shepard did not physically survive and became a legend. Dialogues and the story in such cases would focus on Shepard's legacy and its repercussions, but without directly continuing their personal relationship storylines. Players would still be immersed in the world, but would be subtly motivated to try the Destroy ending if they wish to experience the "complete" narrative. I believe this approach would allow BioWare to continue Shepard's powerful story (as hinted by the teaser), while respecting the diversity of player choices and providing players with clear motivation. Hey everyone, fellow Mass Effect fans! I've had an idea floating around in my head for a while now and I'd love to hear what you all think about it. It's about connecting the Mass Effect 3 endings with the new game and the potential return of Shepard. My thought is that BioWare could allow us to import our saves from ME3 with any ending, but the dialogue options related to romantic relationships and full Shepard continuity would only unlock if you chose the "Destroy" ending where Shepard survives. This could be explained by the nanotechnology from the Lazarus Project. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it would help BioWare elegantly bridge the story and also respect player choices? Let me know in the comments. Thank you!17Views0likes0CommentsMass Effect Andromeda Missing Online Access
Hey I keep getting the missing online access error when launching MEA. I've tried every solution I can find online with no success. Clearing temp files and reinstalling the game, etc... Is there anything else I can try? (i have the game on steam like to my EA account)SolvedMass effect legendary Edition wont launch on GFN
I previously had Xbox Game Pass and played Mass Effect Legendary Edition via GeForce Now. After my Game Pass subscription ended, I bought the game through Epic Games and linked it to my EA account. However, whenever I try to launch the game through GeForce Now, the EA app gives me this error: Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. I already tried deleting all my trusted devices from my EA account, but the issue still persists. What’s going on here? Dear EA & BioWare teams, I'm writing this message, which I believe reflects the thoughts of many Mass Effect fans in France. With the growing presence of AI in the gaming world, we’re increasingly worried about the possibility of our original French voice actors being replaced by synthetic voices. English-speaking players are lucky to have amazing talents like Ali Hillis, Mark Meer, and Jennifer Hale. In France, we’ve also had unforgettable performances by Boris Rehlinger (Shepard), Laura Blanc (Liara), Pascale Chemin (Shepard) , and Gilles Morvan (Garrus), among others. We’ve grown deeply attached to these voices. They helped shape our connection to the story and the universe. The thought of not hearing their voices again—especially for returning characters like Liara—is heartbreaking. Their contributions are just as vital as the story or gameplay. Please, do not replace these human voices with AI-generated alternatives. We ask you to protect the soul of Mass Effect, in all languages. Thank you for reading. We truly hope this message will be heard. – A concerned fan, on behalf of the French Mass Effect community[Read First!] How to seek help and get a quick solution.
This sticky has two functions. To make it easier for those of you who seek help to find it. To make helping less time consuming and more effective. Let’s start! This is the Mass Effect Franchise Discussion area of the EA Forum. (Original Triology, Andromeda and MELE.) Every problem you have running the game goes in here. That includes crashes, the game not starting at all, in game issues, bugs and technical questions. If you have a problem with the EA app or a problem with your account, the right places to post are others: Here is the EA app technical issues board, and here is the EA Community Discussion board for questions about account issues. (Please note that account issues can often only be resolved by official EA support). A lot of common errors with the game are already mentioned, and in this case, there is a good chance that the “Accepted solution” will help you too. Meaning? Please use the search function before you post. 😉 If you found the problem you are having as well, but the “Accepted solution” does not help, or if you can’t find something that equals the error you see, please "Start a Discussion” for your problem. First step, the title. This line should be as informative as possible! (For example: [PC] – Mass Effect 1 crashes with a "general protection fault" message.) Always include the system you play on in the title and add the Tag of your system ([PC], [PS3] [Xbox] and so forth.) Second step, the problem description. Be as precise and detailed as possible! - What is the exact error message? - What is happening exactly? - When exactly does the problem occur? - Where exactly does the problem occur? If the problem is in game and/or hard to describe, or if the error message is complicated and hard to write down, include a screenshot or a video to your post. If it is a Windows error you can print the screen with the “Print Screen” button (Print Scrn, Prnt Scrn, Prt Scrn, Prt Scn, Prt Scr, Prt Sc or Pr Sc) on your keyboard. (most of the time on the right-hand side of the “F12” key.) A cursor will appear allowing you to take a screenshot of a specific area of your screen. Just paste the screenshot you took into the open "Start a Discussion" page, or use the "Insert Media button" (Camera symbol.) in the "Tools" menu: You also could use the "Add an Attachment" button at the bottom of the "Start a Discussion" window. If the error is in game the above method might not work. You can use “NVIDIA App” if you use an NVIDIA GPU or "Radeon ReLives“ if you use a AMD GPU to create an in-game screenshot. If you don’t want to use these kinds of tools, the lightweight software “FRAPS” (Freeware) is also capable of capturing in-game screenshots. On the Consoles it is also possible to create a screenshot, refer to the manual of your console. Third step, your system information. If you are on a PC and you have a technical problem of any kind always attach a “DxDiag” to your post! Here is a tutorial on how to create a DxDiag in Text file format. If you use Windows 7, also go to your Reliability monitor: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time and copy and paste or type "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new window > hit “ENTER” and look if it has entries for the game you have trouble with. If so double click at the last entry for the game executable, copy the info to the clipboard and save it to a text file. You can attach the "DxDiag" text file you created (and the “Reliability monitor” text file as well) to your post with the "Add an Attachment" button.11KViews10likes3Comments
