VSYNC Stuttering issue on Non-VRR displays

What will happen with any non-VRR display:

With in-game VSYNC or third-party

Normal stage start: Stutters 90% of the time (Seems to be locking the framerate bellow the displays refreshrate)

Enter/exit graphics menu before stage: Stutters will stop at first, but might start ramdomly mid stage, which its a even worse situation (Apparently because of assets being loaded mid-stage, but I can't know for sure)

W/O VSYNC

W/o Framelimiters: Erratic framerate, stutters and constant screen tearing

Framelimiters: Stable framerate but also constant screen tearing

If its not getting fixed, someone on the team PLEASE, at the very least, let me know of any way I can bypass the problem....

I don't have vsync on my TV and I get these problems on series x, needs fixing asap, it's the biggest problem with this game

I'm on PC using a 60hz monitor, but TVs don't usually have "Variable Refresh Rate" neither...

I assume theres an in-game implementation of vsync (either being locked at 60 or 120) on the console version that is creating similar issues.

I wont mind a hiccup here and there, but they seem to mess up the vsync and lock the fps bellow the refresh rate, then we'll have the rest of the stage "micro-stuttering" or tearing...

The game is fantastic by the way, it's just this engine that seems to **bleep** it. Anyway to bypass the problem would be highly appreciated!

I play this on PS5 and i noticed that this game doesn’t support VRR I own a tv that does and it doesn’t make a difference if it is on or not. It is a shame that after all this time there is still screentearing and a lot of pop-up (in replays) It still doesn’t feel finnished.

I really don't know how it works on consoles, it seems that the draw distance and some other settings are CPU heavy, not the strongest feature on consoles, even on the pro. And instead of droping the framerate to 30 on CPU bottenecks (which would be what normal vsync does), it just disables any sync and allows it to "screentear"...

But hey, that's just my theory, I have no idea! Hope they find a way to fix it though, the game is sick.

Obs.: On PC when it drops, it gets locked to 30fps until you enter the menus or restart... Or you have to enter the graphics menu before every race to, maybe, prevent it from happening mid stage.

My theory is it's to do with how they did the lighting, that's why in towns it's bad because of the shadows and more light sources. A town shouldn't take up much CPU because it's just a bunch of hollow polygons, that's why some towns on some maps like Mexico are fine but others like Corsica are terrible. They need to rework the lighting, that will even solve the problem of people complaining about the graphics, because sometimes the game looks real when the lighting is right, other times it looks awful and washed out in bad lighting.

It might be related to reflections actually, on pc is almost a requirement to set "reflections" on the graphics settings to low or even ultra low to prevent a lot of stuttering... Even on high end machines.

It has something to do with how UE4 doesn't support an optimized way to handle them.

I can't really know if that's whats affecting performance on consoles though. Or even if it is, if it can be fixed... Too bad 'cause as far as rallying goes this is the apex, the engine has just been an awful decision.
