This game feels old already👎
Wow guys this game literally feels like it’s been out for 1 year +. I get on, play a few matches and I’m already bored. Why might you ask? Because it’s still about who can do the most damage to leg body or head. Menus are exactly the same as previous titles. Ground game is abhorrent and extremely stale. Oh the clinch? Absolutely useless. No strategy involved. I guarantee no one cares about the perks or flow state or cares to read about them! just choose a fast OP fighter and button mash for the win! Oh you can defend some transitions while I’m on top of you with a dominant wrestler? Great! Get stood up by the ref and now you can continue to throw roundhouse kicks to the body or 9 punch combos at lightning speed until my body health depletes? Can I make a comeback? Absolutely not. How could I? The clinch? A takedown? Baha. Pitiful. No use for fighter signature moves or player likeness everyone plays the same and moves at the same speed without rhythm to setup a well timed move, only in and out button mash, circle, beem pow ping button mash. No strategy, unlimited stamina, still 100+ strikes thrown per round. I’m good on playing any future titles. It's mindboggling how some still swear by UFC Undisputed 3
UFC Undisputed 3 was undoubtedly the pinnacle of MMA games. What fans appreciate the most is THQ completely going all in with this game, holding absolutely nothing back and doing everything they were able to do with the available technology at the time. Pride Mode could easily been its own standalone game and nobody would've criticized THQ. But the reality is that it has been long surpassed when it comes to the action inside the Octagon. In my personal opinion, EA Sports UFC 4 is when that happened, Maybe Undisputed 3, which is when EA did the big overhaul to the striking, but UFC 4 is when EA really locked in its current system. UFC 6 definitely is hands down head and shoulders above Undisputed 3. Players would keep reverting to Undisputed 3's customization (I love that you could customize basically everything, including trunks, and of course movesets), but what it all boils down to is the feel and natural ebb and flow of the matches. While many may argue about the so-called number of moves available in Undisputed 3, the beauty of UFC 6 is that it is very organic, like the real deal. Nobody in real life is counting "moves" or looking at a fight in terms of "movesets." Fighters punch and kick, period. The distinct and nuanced and dynamic animations in UFC 6 make the concept of "movesets" obsolete. The bottom line is the action inside the Octagon feels authentic and nuanced. The AI is exceptionally good. And by "good" I'm not talking about difficulty per se. Arcade players will always look to exploit the AI and do anything they can to win at all costs. But any MMA fan who wants to fight realistically and enjoy UFC 6 with zero intention of consciously exploiting will find the most authentic experience in UFC 6. The thing about Undisputed 3 is that it has a very tight and consistent fighting system with clearly defined parameters. I cannot deny that. I wouldn't even call it "arcadey" because THQ was honestly trying its best to provide the most realistic experience as well. But the fact is that the technology simply wasn't there, and while Undisputed 3 remains fun, it is in comparison just way too rigid and predictable compared to UFC 6 and lacks the "anything could happen" factor that people expect from MMA and what UFC 6 provides. The AI is also severely lacking in Undisputed 3, with the CPU feeling like an unstoppable wall closing in on you at all times. In short (too late lol), UFC 6 is a classic case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts, and Undisputed 3 most definitely has more parts. But for me personally, where it matters the most, inside the cage, UFC 6 is hands down the best MMA game to date. Please enable a permanent Fight Week for UFC 5 Trophy Completion
Hi EA Support and Community Managers,I am writing this because EA Sports UFC 5's "Fight Week" feature has been discontinued. Because of this, the "Easy Work" and "You Have My Attention" trophies are now completely glitched and unattainable. This is my very last trophy left for the Platinum. It is highly unfair to lock out dedicated trophy hunters from achieving 100% completion just because the live service events are turned off. Please consider pushing a small server-side update to enable a permanent, automated, or looping "Fight Week" event so that the community can still complete these challenges and earn their Platinum trophies. Do not abandon the player base that supported this game.Thank you.17Views1like0CommentsCustomization Fixes/Updates
So here's a few of basic things I'd like to see implemented in 6: For created/custom fighters wearing official UFC gloves, the tape color shouldn't be white, it should correspond to the corner they're fighting from (blue/red). This was the norm for custom fighters back in UFC 3, but hasn't been in the subsequent releases. Back then, you had no other glove choice for custom fighters, and it seems like this small detail got lost once custom glove choices got introduced, and hasn't been fixed since. Let's finally get that taken care of, please. Additionally for custom fighters, the colors for the official UFC Venum trunks/walkout gear should either A.) correspond to the home nation of the fighter, as they used to in prior releases, or B.) should be more customizable than what they have been in the last two releases. Having just black or white as the only choices for the official gear is pretty lacking, considering all of the other apparel options the game has offered recently. Speaking of walkout gear on custom fighters, please set things up to where we can make the shirts/hoodies/headgear/other stuff to be specific to walkouts only. Would be nice to have that option, that way these custom dudes aren't wearing the Venum t-shirts in the cage. Out here looking like a self-conscious dude in the swimming pool during fights. I'd like to see a return to the fighter moves/attribute customization that 3 had, where each fighter could have their own unique skills/stances/moves, regardless of their "main" skillset. I understand that from 4 onward, the prioritization was making created fighters more "fair" to use in online matches. I get that, but why not just apply one of the basic move sets/templates to custom fighters specifically during online play, but allow for them to be fully customizable for offline use? Seems like a no-brainer. Not sure if I'm the only one that sees these as worthwhile additions or not. I've been asking for these three basic features since 4 was released, and so far, nothing. Here's hoping this stuff actually gets added to 6.EA SPORTS™ UFC® current and resolved issues

I will die on this hill, the CPU is fights significantly more realistic than 99% of players you'll face online. UFC 6's (and 5 & 4) are criminally underrated and I haven't seen anyone give it the praise it deserves. If you're looking for a realistic experience with realistic pacing and ebb and flow, the CPU is your perfect dance partner. Of course difficulty settings make a difference, but I think Pro is the sweet spot. My guess is that Legendary difficulty will more or less force players to be more formulaic & actively looking for exploits to best the CPU. On Pro you can pretty much be dynamic and just fight realistically to the best of your abilities with great results. Online, just watching the more popular people like NazUFC is just a whole new world. I wouldn't even call it "arcade" per se, I mean, I guess it is, but at the highest levels, from what I've seen, the experience is anything but realistic. Every single player is "combo-minded." Every offensive move consist of three-strike combinations. The strategy is formulaic. Learn the "best" combos, understand the best moments to unleash them, rinse repeat. I just watched NazUFC beat the supposed #1 ranked UFC 6 player. NazUFC was more methodical, took his time, activated his flow state and knocked the guy out after an extended combo that essentially stun locked his opponent in place. This isn't real fighting. There was no precision timing or a perfectly placed shot. No opening created by feinting, no perfect anticipation of your opponent's movement to land that perfect strike. It was just having a solid grip on the mechanics and utilizing features like flow state at the most opportune moment. In contrast, fighting against the CPU affords players to fight realistically, relying on spacing, baiting the CPU to make mistakes, and capitalizing on those mistakes. You can throw combinations, sure, but it's not a combo-based strategy. You pick and choose your spots, one shot at a time, rarely ever extending your combos past two strikes. KO's come swiftly after a single perfectly timed shot. Anyway, not a complaint, just stating the facts. I love UFC 6 and the games that came before it, but against the CPU. I'm not looking for the toughest challenge, but the most realistic experience, which can be found only against the CPU.The physiques in ufc 6 are the worst byfar
The womans strawweights look like they literally have dwarfism, so many heavyweights just look like clay blob monsters and between the two are fighters like ian garry who has the shoulders of a elementary schooler and jaoquin buckley who shares the exact stature of half the lightweight roster, I can go on. I seen a few others on reddit talk about this too but i hope more agree that they moddled the bodies ridiculously in this game. The CAF physiques you can choose from are very rough aswell, even worse then the ones in ufc 1 and 2, a lot worse even. You can choose from a heavyweight, a blob heavyweight, or stickmen. Now i may be griping about things that dont particularly matter but it is simply glaring, i really hope they fix this.I restart every match whenever the CPU activates flow state
When I'm recording gameplay video to upload. I absolutely hate it when the match is going so great then the CPU decides to flow state, ruining my video lol. The flow state visual effects are so hideous and insulting. That patch can't come soon enough. EA said July. Any chance it will be July 1st? lol
