PC DA: Origins Not Launching Saves and Missing Downloaded Add-on DA: Awakening
Hello, I've been having problems with PC Dragon Age: Origins for a couple of weeks now. First, I wasn't able to launch the game, and was getting the error on the PC EA App: Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. So after multiple attempts to launch a saved game, I followed suggested solutions on the EA Help Website, and I uninstalled the EA App and the game and reinstalled both. Now when I try to launch a saved game, it gives me the error: This saved game cannot be loaded. It requires the following content: Dragon Age: Awakening. So I tried to uninstall and reinstall DA:O again, but still getting the error. However, when I look at the list of downloaded content the EA App shows that Dragon Age: Awakening was downloaded/installed with 4.15GB.
DAO freeze on loading screen windows 11
I've been trying to revisit DAO after playing it years ago on an old laptop. I just got a new one with windows 11, redownloaded the game with the 4gb memory patch and followed my old mod list, however whenever i start a new game (whether it's the campaign, awakening, leliana's song, etc.) it freezes on the loading screen? The audio still works and i can still move the pc and interact but all i see is a frezon loading screen. I've set affinity to only one CPU, lowered all the graphics settings, prioritized it in the task manager and everything but it still persists. sometimes im able to get past the first cutscene by minimizing the window and reopening it, but once i transition areas or otherwise cause a new loading screen to appear it happens again.

Es inaceptable que, años después del lanzamiento de Dragon Age: Origins y Dragon Age 2, estos juegos sean prácticamente injugables por los constantes crasheos. No es un problema de mi hardware, ya que mantengo el ordenador limpio y optimizado regularmente. Como consumidor que ha pagado por estos juegos, resulta extremadamente frustrante no poder disfrutarlos como corresponde. La falta de soporte y de actualizaciones para que los títulos antiguos funcionen correctamente demuestra una total falta de consideración hacia los jugadores. Situaciones como esta terminan empujando a muchos a recurrir a la piratería, simplemente para poder jugar a lo que ya compraron.
