I’ve done 4 landlord events and 3 of them have said I’ve failed to do anything and my unit rating has lowered even though I’ve done them. I’ve had one say I did it. Please read the first post carefully and post in the thread that reflects your issue best. Go in order from top to bottom if you see multiple of the symptoms. The top ones are more specialized as the bottom ones. Please feel free to use this thread for general discussion of the issue, but note that this thread is NOT being tracked by Maxis any longer. The threads linked below are being actively investigated. Please follow them for any updates. Problem The save game starts to disintegrate itself. Lots start to get deleted, causing endless loading, loading into empty lots or Error Codes 800/801. Where to post It seems that in order to better track the causes for this issue, separate threads are needed. You do not need to repost any info you already posted here. There are currently different issues so please use either of these going forward. Make sure to read through the first post of each to be sure you’re posting in the correct thread. If you get a White screen after loading into world with an R-rental, please use this thread: White Screen when loading world (Patch 1.109.207) If your save is corrupting and you have a lot of r-rentals in your save game, please use this thread: [FR] Corrupted Lots/Houses disappear in saves with lots of rental units If you get Load Error 800 or 801, please use this thread Load Error Code 800/801 If your game shows all the neighboring lots as default/empty instead of the correct lot, use this thread: Neighboring Houses show as Default/Empty | EA Forums - 11903590 If you downloaded a specific lot from the gallery and that gives you endless loading/crashing when leaving the lot or trying to load into it, please use this thread: Endless Loading/Crashing when trying to load a certain lot (broken object(s). Please be aware that this issue isn't a corrupted save game. It's a corrupt lot. If you downloaded a few random lots from the gallery and you start to get endless loading with them, please use this thread: Placing lots from the gallery freezes game/endless loading If you're buildings are disappearing but the furniture is still there, use this thread: Floating furniture and building completely gone If you’re buildings are disappearing/reverts to base, you have exclamation marks or lamas on the map or the houses are different on the map and in the game (even after loading into the lot), please use this thread: Houses/Lots Disappear Troubleshooting The issue is really hard to pinpoint but there are a few things that can accelerated the issue. This issue is not mod caused but it can be influenced by mods and cheats, especially if you create lots of Residential Rental units in your save game. Save Game Size. The issue usually typically happens on larger save games. There are a few factors that contribute to save game size that you can keep an eye on Lots of huge houses with lots of objects: Try to keep those down. Consider using empty houses for set decoration if you don't play certain lots but want houses to make it look nicer Photos Sims take ingame. Try to only keep the photos you really like and that contribute to your gameplay. Delete everything else. Photos take up a lot of space in the save. Lots of Sims. The game creates Sims at abundance. Delete the ones you don't use from time to time. Usually there's nothing you can do once it starts happening.
Aspirations Default to First One When Looking or Switching
Since the January 14 game update, when I pull up the aspiration menu, either to check what's on the next tier of the current aspiration or to swap aspirations, the aspiration panel defaults to the very first one (Animal if you have Cats and Dogs, otherwise the Athletic category. Note if I try in a save* that's never been played with base game (and the Jan 16 kits) it stays on the current aspiration.(*it was a base game only save I'd created before the update to test something previously but had never saved apart from the default save when it's set up). It also works fine if I enable all packs except Home Chef Hustle (I disabled packs using James Turner's site). However, when I disabled all packs (except the kits released Jan 16), and try in a save I'd played in previously, when you pull up the aspiration menu it also defaults to the first aspiration (in this case the athletic one). I attach two screenshots. The first one is where the aspiration defaults to after the update. The second one is where it should default to (the same aspiration that the sim is on, in both examples, it is the cooking aspiration as I tested with the same sim both with and without packs disabled). Note that I play on Windows, game version is PC: 1.112.481.1030 DX 11 & in English, my mods folder is out, cache has been deleted and I repaired my game after the update (and after installing the new kits). I do have all the packs, but as indicated, tested both with all the packs, with all (but the latest kits) disabled, and gradually adding packs back in. Best regards, Jennifer
Discovery Quests won't go away/Constant Messages popping up
Ever since reaper rewards ended my game is contiously 'starting' the navigating needs and scoring simoleons discovery quests. I've tried completely the quests but that didn't work, they just kept restarting. Have also tried turning the quests and tutorials off/restarting/repairing the game but that isn't working either. And when I say keep starting I mean it's popping up multiple times a minute even when it's still 'active' My sims just gained over 15 thousand simoleons from the scoring simoleons quest just spam starting. Like....It keeps telling me my notification wall is full less than a minute after i delete all because these quests will not stop spamming me. I have no mods or ccs in my game. Ive been playing a new save since Life and Death came out, no issues up until recently. My sim had twins with the grim reaper, and since aging them up to a teen (this might've been an issue before but i didn’t notice it until they became teens), their faces and bodies change after going through a loading screen (quitting or traveling). Their jaws move as far up as possible, their ears and eyes get smaller, their waist, legs and shoulders go as far in as possible.. It’s ONLY my teens as i've edited another teen (plus have an adult in the household) and no issues.. Ive repaired my game, updated mods, tried saving them to the gallery/re putting them in my game, resetting them, turned mods off and had the same issue, NOTHING is working! Not sure if maybe its a glitch having to do with them being Grims kids..? added before and after pics to see the difference.. Sims in Romantic Relationship Keep Getting Out of Bed
My issue recently has been when I put my sims to sleep. They have a long pause, go to sleep, then immediatley they get up even though their needs are fully met. Im not sure why they keep bugging out like that and recently I have been seeing in other websites that I am not the only one having this issue. I keep tasking them to sleep and it keeps repeating. Another issue with sleeping is sometimes I dont task my sims to cuddle when they sleep and they do it on thier own.
