Missing upgrade system for the Mythic Alternator "Skippy"
Dear EA Support Team, I am writing to formally complain about a severe issue regarding the Mythic Alternator weapon skin "Skippy" from the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration event. During the event, I spent real money/Apex Coins to obtain the base version of the Mythic Alternator "Skippy." It was my understanding, based on the in-game Mythic/Exotic store system, that I would be able to upgrade this weapon skin using Exotic Shards at my own pace after the event ended, just like any other Mythic weapon or Heirloom in the game. However, since the event concluded, the upgrade interface for "Skippy" has completely vanished from both the Mythic Store and the Loadout menu. There is currently no way for me to upgrade a product that I have already purchased. At no point during the event did Respawn or EA explicitly state in high-visibility announcements that the "Upgrade System" itself would be locked or made unavailable permanently after the event. Withholding the upgrade features of a purchased item without proper, transparent disclosure constitutes unfair consumer treatment and misleading practices. As a paying customer, I request that you either: 1. Restore the upgrade path/interface for players who already own the base version of "Skippy" via the Loadout menu. 2. Provide a clear, official explanation and a concrete timeline of when this upgrade system will be accessible again. Hello Respawn devs or EA staff or whoever might be reading this. I was making a ticket/support case on the EA support website making a pretty silly and ridiculous request, and was suggested by one of your friendly support staff to post it here, and it basically boiled down to this. I bought the Crimson Universal Melee Packs to get the free heirloom and I made a whole rite before the last pack praying I would not get the one melee I was trying to avoid, the Metallic Banshee. I don't have anything against the design, just not my cup of tea. But of course, it is the one I got. So the request I was making was if it was possible to get a re-roll because I really wanted to get any other melee (maybe one more than then others... cough- death duet cough cough...). Of course I didn't expect it to be free so I offer a very compelling gift attached below 😎. If this has reached a dev, thank you for your time, also i love MRVNs from Titanfall, please add more MRVNs everywhere!Please Consider Reworking the Metallic Banshee Universal Heirloom
Dear Respawn Entertainment Team, I recently received the Metallic Banshee from the latest randomized Universal Heirloom event. This was the first time I had ever spent money on Apex Legends, so I was genuinely excited when I obtained a Universal Heirloom. Unfortunately, after using the Metallic Banshee in actual gameplay, I felt extremely disappointed and upset. My biggest concern is the way the weapon looks and moves while running or walking. The flexible section swings around too loosely, making the weapon feel soft, unstable, and awkward rather than sharp, powerful, or threatening. For an expensive Mythic-tier cosmetic, it does not feel polished or satisfying to hold. Some members of the community have even compared its current appearance and movement to an inappropriate adult prop. Although that comparison is crude, I believe it reflects a genuine problem with the weapon’s silhouette, rigidity, and movement animations. Please consider substantially reworking the Metallic Banshee. One possible solution would be to redesign it as a transforming chain sword. During normal movement, the chain could retract, tighten, and lock together to form a solid sword blade. This would give the weapon a cleaner silhouette and make it feel firm and natural in the player’s hand. During melee attacks, inspect animations, or special rare animations, the chain could then extend and separate, allowing the weapon to retain its flexible identity. This transformation would make it feel more mechanical, distinctive, and worthy of being a Universal Heirloom. Suggested improvements include: Making the weapon rigid and sword-like during normal movement. Reducing the loose and floppy swinging animations. Allowing the chain to extend during attacks and inspections. Improving the running, drawing, attacking, and idle animations. Giving the weapon stronger sound effects and mechanical feedback. Adding more detailed and memorable rare inspect animations. I understand that cosmetic design is subjective, and I do not intend to disrespect the artists and developers who created this item. However, this was my first purchase in Apex Legends, and receiving an heirloom that I find uncomfortable and disappointing to use has genuinely affected my experience. Universal Heirlooms require a significant investment from players. I sincerely hope the team will listen to community feedback and consider reworking the Metallic Banshee rather than leaving it in its current state. Alter × A.K.I. Would Have Been a Much Better Fit Than Chun-Li
I’m honestly disappointed with the choice of Chun-Li for Alter in the Street Fighter collaboration. Alter and A.K.I. feel like a much more natural match. Their personalities, aesthetics, and overall character themes fit together extremely well. A.K.I.’s unsettling, chaotic, and sinister personality would translate perfectly into Alter’s design, while still allowing the collaboration to feel unmistakably Street Fighter. Chun-Li is an iconic character, but that doesn’t automatically make her the best fit for every Apex Legend. Alter’s personality and visual identity are much closer to what makes A.K.I. stand out. I really hope Respawn considers this feedback, especially if there are future Street Fighter collaborations, alternate versions, recolors, or additional cosmetics planned. Please consider Alter × A.K.I. for a future collaboration. This isn’t about hating the Chun-Li skin. It’s about recognizing that there was an opportunity for a character pairing that could have been significantly more fitting and memorable for both Apex Legends and Street Fighter. Bring back "Career Apex Kills" and similar trackers
Hi, I've played apex since season 0-17, then took a massive break until recently. There are quite a lot of events etc that I have missed which is fine but the one tracker that would be beneficial (especially for an older player) is the total Career kill tracker. I believe this was exclusive to the event so cannot be bought now to add. Even better if it is able to be bought like some of the characters skins :) Sam,
