Support Process Question: EA Help vs EA Forums
Dear EA Sports, I was advised by the EA Sports Support team (EA Help) to raise my concerns and issues with the game on the EA Forums, and I was assured that developers and relevant teams are active here. However, despite creating multiple posts outlining my concerns, none of them have been acknowledged by EA staff. I have worked in a corporate environment for over 25 years, and I must say that this level of communication falls well below the standard one would normally expect from a customer support structure. What I find particularly confusing is the process itself. EA Help, which is meant to support customers, redirects players to these forums to raise issues. Yet once customers follow that direction, it appears that no meaningful engagement takes place. From a customer perspective, this creates a situation where players are effectively moved from one support channel to another without their concerns actually being addressed. The only time I received a response was when a post included a three-letter word that apparently violated forum rules. That post received attention immediately, yet the actual concern raised in the post was not addressed in the response. This sends a rather unfortunate message that moderation is active, but meaningful engagement with the issues themselves is not. As a long-standing customer, this is disappointing. I have been playing EA football titles since the very first FIFA, well before the PlayStation era, and I have remained a loyal player for decades. Because of that, I find it difficult to understand why concerns raised by players here receive so little acknowledgement. I fully understand that companies must be careful when responding publicly. However, complete silence is also a response, and it is not a particularly reassuring one. If EA Help directs players to the forums, then the forums should function as a place where issues are at least acknowledged or discussed. Otherwise, the process risks appearing circular — players are redirected to the forums for help, but once they arrive, no help is provided. I would respectfully ask that this process be reconsidered, and that concerns raised here receive at least some level of acknowledgement from the relevant teams. I have earned badges and profile levels on this forum over time, but those are secondary. What matters far more is meaningful communication with the player community. Could EA staff please clarify whether posts raising gameplay concerns are reviewed and whether players can expect responses here? For clarity, could a member of the EA community team or moderation team please confirm whether gameplay concerns raised on this forum are reviewed by the development team, and whether players should realistically expect feedback or acknowledgement when such concerns are raised here? Understanding how this process works would be very helpful for players who have been directed here by EA Help. Hello guys! I have a great news and i hope this may help you! As many of you, I had a locked store, because of corrupted evolution, which i wasn't able to redeem, so my store was locked for more than two months. The disappointment I've experienced by the whole EA stuff was disgusting. You know it… The bot support, the lack of help and solution by all disabled: EA_DanaB ;EA_Dennis ;EA_Mahonia ;michelrespawn ;EA_Megami ; with all other stuffs and managers who do not care about the players! So guys this is what happened steps by steps, which unlocked my store. I make few SBC’s which gave me an evolution and a player in my “assignment items” in the store. So there become “the corrupted evolution + one normal + 2 players” all of them unassigned. So i close my console, wait for 15-20 mins in order to let me in the Companion App. When i logged into the App i went to the unassignment items” then i gave “store all to the club”, by the “three dots in the top right corner”, because of the player. I hoped to assign all of the items, but no. Then i gave to the “corrupted evolution” - redeem. And it just remove it by the list. So i left with the other evolution reward, which doesnt caused any problems to be assigned. I hope this may help you. And please write down as a comment if this helped you or no. EA is making a mockery of us and our time. At one point I reported a bug in Squad Battles while I was trying to complete some objectives: after you win the match, you get kicked out of Ultimate Team and the game counts as a 3–0 loss. I figured out on my own that it happens on lower difficulties and when you win by a big margin. Of course, nobody from EA was able to help me back then, and they didn’t compensate me in any way for the time I lost on those matches. Anyway, I told myself it wasn’t worth stressing over it—that’s just how they treat their customers and there’s nothing I can do. About a month passed. Today I check the objectives and see one called “Full Throttle.” It has two sub-objectives: basically, you need to score 20 goals with a player who has at least 90 PACE, and get 20 assists on at least Beginner difficulty, in the same match. I go into the game, everything fine—I didn’t even think about that bug from a month ago. I finish the match 31–0… and it kicks me out of Ultimate Team. I will not argue about the bad gameplay, I just have one thing. for me I have always enjoyed doing an inter Milan team and play with it, and now as we are close to team of the season, I saw the leaks of the Italian league TOTS, and I just wonder do the people who work here in EA actually see what’s going on to pick the team, because how come that modric is 97 and Yildiz is 96. Hello, I am experiencing a recurring issue in Pro Clubs on EA Sports FC. In almost every match, one or two players from our team get extremely high ping (around 200–250+ ms). The problem is inconsistent and seems to switch between different players after each lobby. We have tried multiple solutions such as relobbying, changing the club captain, and restarting the game, but the issue persists. All players have stable internet connections and NAT Type 2, so it does not appear to be an issue on our end. This makes the game very difficult and frustrating to play, especially in competitive matches. It feels like the matchmaking system is placing us on unsuitable servers. I have a lot to say, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to express it clearly because of the frustration I feel, and because most of the things I could say about this game are negative. I’ve been playing more regularly this year since January because, for medical reasons, I had all my days free to play. In the three months since then, playing daily, I can’t say my game has improved—or at least it doesn’t seem like it. In fact, it seems worse. I went from playing a Weekend League every 2–3 weeks, where I would get 8–9 wins, to now getting 6–7 wins when playing weekly. I’ve learned to defend properly, but suddenly that’s not enough because passes don’t work. Sometimes passes work, I hit the post six times in a match, and the opponent recovers a ball from a corner and passes to their striker; my defenders retreat and the goal goes in despite all opposition. It really feels like the outcome is predetermined. And it’s not because you encounter better players. I would understand if you win a few matches and your difficulty level rises, but under optimal conditions, you should still be able to win those matches. After all, the better player can have a bad day, I can have a better tactic, etc., but no. I can lose five matches in a row, then suddenly win almost the same number of matches I lost before. Suddenly every pass works and every shot goes in. I partially understand the idea of keeping everyone satisfied and maintaining a 50% win rate, but that should only happen by placing players in a higher category, not by manipulating the server. It really feels like the game is actively sabotaging you. In live events, you win 2–3 matches with good ping, then suddenly in the final your ping is 264. You might think it’s a coincidence, but repeating the process multiple times, and again the final has terrible connectivity—it no longer feels coincidental; it feels manipulated. There are countless errors that kick you out of Ultimate Team at the end of matches, causing you to lose. EA does nothing about this, even though it has been reported countless times. I’ve noticed that I get many errors after playing against cheaters in live events, who exit after scoring. I even get warning messages, even though I haven’t done anything like that. The market is also a manipulated mess. I buy a player with growth potential, but I can’t make a profit because EA has capped their price too low. Meanwhile, others sell coins easily in the game or use programs to buy players below their value, without EA doing anything. The player community itself is a disaster. In “Triple Threat League,” where passes, goals, and matches matter, some players drag out victories. You can’t score, or you score quickly and then the opponent scores, and instead of speeding up, they run the entire field with the player and celebrate. In this mode or others, they sometimes pause the match in the 85th minute. I had a Rivals match where I was 9–2 in the 88th minute, and the opponent paused to swap a player at that exact moment. Many players waste time, celebrate obnoxiously, and have annoying goal sounds. So what can you expect from EA when the community is so toxic? Offline modes are boring and repetitive. Career mode is getting worse every year. For players in the same situation as me: what can we do? Buy the game again next year? Or give up on it now?126Views1like3Comments
