Suggestion: Allow Commissioners to Enter Custom Scores and Select Game Stage
Hello! Thank you for the Connected Franchise mode. It is very interesting and has a lot of potential. Our community already has a list of suggestions for new features. I will probably post it later. In this topic, I would like to suggest only one feature: the ability for the commissioner to manually add the game result and choose how the game ended — in regulation time or in overtime. In the current version, the commissioner can add a result, but only as a 1:0 score. This is not always enough. Below are a few examples where a 1:0 technical result does not solve the problem. Example 1 MTL vs NYR. Score: 2:2. Regulation time ends, overtime starts, and then there is a lost connection. Because of this, the game result is not added to the standings. If the players restart the game and play until the first goal, and then the commissioner adds the result manually, it still does not show that the game ended in overtime. Because of this, the points in the standings can be wrong, and the league table can also be sorted incorrectly. Example 2 MTL vs NYR. Score: 10:2. The third period starts. NYR is tilted and wants to leave the game, but both players want to keep this score. If NYR leaves the match, the result will not be added to the standings. The commissioner can only add a 1:0 result. This can also affect the standings, because MTL should have more goals scored and a better goal difference. There is one possible workaround, but it is not good for everyone and not always possible. If there is a random lost connection, players can try to recreate the match. For example, in Example 1, they can make the score 2:2 again, wait until overtime starts, and then play seriously. But this is not a real solution, because it takes valuable time that players could spend playing other league games. So my main and most urgent suggestion for Connected Franchise is: Please give the commissioner a tool to manually add the game score and choose the game ending type — regulation time or overtime. Thank you!101Views2likes2CommentsConnected Franchise
Hi EA NHL Team, I’m really happy to see Connected Franchise return in NHL 27, but there is one major issue that currently prevents my friends and me from playing the mode the way we expected. We are a small group of 3–4 players. We each want to control our own NHL team while the remaining teams are controlled by the CPU, just like in a normal Franchise Mode. For example, if we control Florida, Boston, Chicago and Edmonton, we would like the other 28 NHL teams to continue functioning normally as CPU-controlled franchises. They should be able to make trades, manage their rosters, sign players and participate in the league just like they do in offline Franchise Mode. Ideally, Connected Franchise would eventually include: CPU-controlled teams alongside human-controlled teams • Multiple seasons • Player progression, regression and aging • Rookie/Entry Draft and draft picks • CPU trades and roster management • Contracts and free agency • Prospects and player development • Fantasy Draft For us, CPU-controlled teams are by far the most important feature. It is very difficult to organize a league with 32 real players. Being able to create a league with a few friends and have the CPU control the remaining teams would completely change the experience. Essentially, we would love Connected Franchise to become the regular Franchise Mode experience, but online with friends. I understand that this is Year 1 of Connected Franchise and that the mode will continue to evolve. I really hope CPU teams and a true multi-season franchise experience are among the highest priorities. Thank you for bringing Connected Franchise back and for listening to community feedback.20Views1like0CommentsKudos for adding Connected Franchise
This is a gamechanger. Now we can play with our friends in something other than a play now scenario. Stats, records, this is awesome. Can create our own custom roster...sweet. The atmosphere when playing has definitely been upgraded as far as the arenas and crowds. Very fun to play. Ideas for future: 1.) Every game is the first game of the season, with 0-0 on the broadcast intro. Having our records match there would be nice. 2.) Obviously, the ability to have a computer team/s would be nice. 3.) The ability to control multiple teams with one user ID would be sweet. Those are minor requests. This mode is a huge addition and makes buying the game well worth it for me and I'll probably be getting some friends who have stopped playing to buy it once again.21Views1like1CommentAlternate captains / captains
Unable to assign alternate captains after trade – Connected Franchise In NHL 27 Connected Franchise, I traded players who were assigned as alternate captains. Auston Matthews still has the captain “C,” but my team now has no players wearing an “A.” I have checked Edit Lines and the Options menu and there doesn’t appear to be any option to assign new alternate captains. Could you please add/fix the ability to manually assign captains and alternate captains in Connected Franchise, or have the game automatically reassign the letters when those players are traded?7Views0likes0Comments
