Madden
Here are my issues with Madden that need to be addressed for the IMMEDIATE future Blocking - is atrocious to say the least. Inside zone & especially base the o-line pulling never leads up in the hole. I've seen o-lineman literally run off the field or block another d-lineman already being blocked. I've even seen them pull and block a CB already being blocked by a WR. Instead of picking up the defender they are supposed to block. How on earth are safeties and CB playing in sub packages shedding blocks better than linebackers? The impact block especially against sub package players is terrible. Those smaller players should be getting steam rolled. And let's not even get into pass blocking. People rush 3 defenders against 5-6 blockers and get better pressure on the QB like an all out blitz. 3 rushing down lineman is a conservative coverage defense that shouldn't get any pressure. The blocking needs to be reprogrammed from the ground up. I can't even use 12 personel or play action heavy offense because the blocking is so bad. Psychic DB - U finally got rid of psychic DB play against man coverage. But it's still happening against zone coverage and when the QB scrambles. I can throw a pass against zone and these DB's will be running full speed covering the WR. Once the ball is released from the QB's hands they will whip around full speed. Backs were turned they were not even looking at the QB. How on earth can they make a play on the ball when they shouldn't even know it's been thrown? Unrealistic X-factor abilities - Franchise Mode we don't want unrealistic abilities like Bazooka, Film Study, Omaha, Truzz, etc These are unrealistic and should stay in Ultimate Team only. And if u do have these abilities make them harder to get. Omaha should be attained at 3 straight passes over 25 yards in the air. Make it tough for these abilities to trigger. User control/Cpu control - This game makes u jump when I don't want to. My WR should jump when I press the button to make him jump. To many animations make my player jump on routine catches where He doesn't need to. And he drops the ball because catch in traffic has always been terrible in these games. Button change - The swat and interception buttons on defense should be 2 different buttons. To many times I get an animation swatting the ball whenI have a wide open interception. L1/L2 on defense should be swat and triangle interception just like the old days. Let the users decide the outcome of these games. Pursuit - It's ridiculously horrible. Linebackers just run through holes blindly no read & react. WR catch the ball and the DB chasing him gets that weird animation where he runs underneath the ball carrier. Alignment - How many times do players run into each other? I try to run man coverage and my DB is way off to the side giving the WR an inside or outside release. Half of my time is spent fixing alignment on defense but then my opponent snaps the ball. Pass trajectory is still terrible no matter the settings. The ball is still too low and even on deep passes the ball is always short. It only goes over the CB when u high point the ball. And when u do that the ball goes over the WR head. Or u get an animation where the WR jumps and once the DB touches him, the WR drops the ball. This is infuriating. This is how QB's should look. Look at the trajectory of the ball, look at how the QB is able to move around in the pocket. The QB actually has a pocket and the o-line actually blocks for him. Look at the speed of the ball being passed. They don't need Gunslinger or Pass Lead Elite to throw the ball with zip on it. This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now.
