Cringy and non emotional voice actors
The whole story is just really kinda watered down and annoying like i just wanna skate around and i be hearing the most obvious advice ever its like the tutorial treats you like your just straight out dumb 😭 and then even some of the phrases sound like they were made by just some out of touch dudes that are tryna “be cool with the kids” yet its more cringy and the voice actors when they talk sound like they are just emotionless
Thoughts on the "economic" system
The requirement to "Get all stuff on the page" in the season pass is extremely dumb. I don’t like most of the items, and investing a large amount of resources and my time into them is pointless. I really doubt I’ll buy the second season pass if this system stays. The daily store should have items that can be purchased directly with the basic in-game currency, like in other free-to-play games. The loot box system is, first of all, bad on its own, and second—it’s limited, especially when you don’t need 50 shades of rails for your 5 (!) placeable item slots.
55 day reset timer for Season missions?!?!
I know EA likes their money but this is absolutely uncalled for. For the people who can’t spend hundreds on a virtual game, making them wait an entire 55 days just to be able to progress in the skate pass is absurd. It’s not like it’s instant progress, we still have to do the challenges which are difficult in their own because of all the bugs still happening within the servers. Mainly co-op missions that don’t complete even though all tasks were complete. Also the random crashing and long wait times. We would like to be able to comfortably play a game we have been waiting 15 years for without having to restart the game every 10 or so minutes if we’re lucky. Please prioritize your audience instead of doing cash grabs and ignoring bugs. -AcxDeleted my game, you should too..
They had their chance, they missed it. This game is a slap in the face, devs have quite literally destroyed this franchise in three weeks of early access. I tried to love playing but have wasted my time in a soulless mess of lootboxes and paywalls. From the very first question “how important is skate culture?”, to the horrendous voice acting (sorry Sean, sorry David), to the disgusting cosmetics, to the very obvious cash grab called the skatepass. People have made comparisons to Fortnite but honestly, at least that game delivers. Buy the Fortnite season pass and it will pay itself forward. In Skate, it will take a minimum of four seasons in order to unlock the currency required to repurchase said skatepass. I tried to love this game, but am not going to continue to support a franchise/developer who completely disrespects the core of it’s fanbase. Imagine the backlash from Fifa fans as EA asks, “how much do you REALLY care about this dumb sport?” and proceeded to replace the uniforms with skirts, tube tops and character models from The Sims. At least in The Sims, I can customize my avatar. I spent about two hours messing about in Season 1, deleted the game from my PlayStation and sincerely hope Full Circle is shut down and this game gets taken offline. Shame on everybody involved and good luck to anybody still holding out.
