Village Life ; Childhood Game
I did some research and saw that EA bought Playdemic. I'm here to ask -- or practically beg EA to bring back a childhood game I and many others absolutely enjoyed, 'Village Life'. If even one person can see this and mention it to their higher ups I'd be so grateful. I severely enjoyed and miss this game. If there's another way I can contact EA and ask whether they would bring back such a classic, please let me know.Solved1KViews21likes14CommentsRequest to Bring Back the Beloved Game “Village Life”
Dear EA Team, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing as a long-time fan of Village Life, a game that touched the hearts of many players around the world. As you have acquired Playdemic, the original developer of the game, we believe you now hold the legacy of this beloved title. Like thousands of others, I have incredibly fond memories of building families, growing villages, and watching generations flourish. Village Life stood out with its emotional depth, peaceful gameplay, and unique generational system—something we haven’t quite found in other games since. Even years after its removal, the community remains active—sharing screenshots, nostalgic memories, and hoping for its return. There are countless social media groups and forum threads filled with people who would wholeheartedly support a remaster or revival of the game. We understand that re-releasing a retired title is a major decision. However, the demand is real and the love for this game has only grown stronger with time. Whether it's a refreshed mobile version, a limited-time release, or even a spiritual successor, we’d be thrilled to see Village Life live on in some form. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for carrying the torch of a game that meant so much to so many of us—not just as a game, but as a cherished part of our lives. Warm regards, Iremnur A lifelong Village Life fan2.9KViews26likes19CommentsEA NextStep, a step back
I am starting to think that they know what they are doing, seeing that the forum was the only resource that popped up when I was researching a problem I was pleasantly surprised to see a "contact us" button at the bottom of the support page. Now I was fully expecting an AI assistant, at least before speaking with support staff or having a ticket created, but what EA has created is well beyond any other assistant I have ever had the displeasure of navigating. Every single prompt from EA NextStep comes with little to no regard of the information you entered into the window previously. Beyond stating your name multiple times be prepared to state your problem, game, and system multiple times in repeat. And for those of you as gullible as me, hoping, praying to at least have an actual ticket created and maybe get a chance to have another person review your problem, let me save you the effort. At the end of each session with EA NextStep it will prompt you to the EA "Self Help" guide where the AI chose an article for you to read and hopefully fix the problem yourself, the only problem, it doesn't actually listen to your problem. I was trying to solve the random EA app failure on PC and beyond having to give it all of the important information multiple times, I was offered a generic "game help" article, a "login help" article, and a "connectivity troubleshooting" article, none of which actually addressed the problem or the fact that I had attempted many of the steps those articles were suggesting before trying to find more help. If anyone has a solution to the EA app bug, I would be very appreciative, but I will not hold my breath on EA finding the solution, as the multitude of threads on and off of this site complaining about the exact issue I was having, and the EA proposed solution, if all else fails, factory reset, and the EA app and EA games are just not worth that effort.128Views2likes5CommentsBring my childhood back
Dear EA Support / Community Team, I am writing to express my sincere hope that you will consider bringing back my childhood game Village Life. This was not just a game to me, it was more then games . I spent a significant amount of time building my village and connecting with the gameplay. Furthermore, I have invested money into various in-game , and it is disappointing to no longer have access to the content I purchased . There is still a very dedicated community of players who love this game and would return to it in a heartbeat. , we would love to see Village Life live again. Please let us know if there are any plans to revive this title or if there is a way for long-term supporters to access the game once more. regards53Views1like1CommentUnable to access my account
I’ve been trying to get through to somebody or something to sort now and it has been hours. I no longer have access to an old email address. It no longer exists. What can I do? It just says our agents can’t deal with this on any options I type in. Absolutely no way to get in touch. My gamepass is linked to this as well so that’s also affected. The account is 17 years old. I can get into it but can’t make any changes due to the verification. All I want is the Xbox gamepass linking to my current account. I’m not even bothered about the old one but I’m finding it completely impossible to get any help sorting it. Any help would be massively appreciated . Thank you in advance.Solved88Views0likes3CommentsRequest to Bring Back Village Life
Dear EA Team, I know I am not the only one writing to you about this game. However, a lot of people are really wanting this game brought back. Village Life made an impact to our childhoods, lives, and beloved entertainment. Since you have acquired Playdemic, you are the ones that have to greenlight this game and there are many of us wanting the game. I am an avid sims player, with my favorite game being The Sims 3, I prefer the open world style in comparison to what you have for The Sims 4. But it doesn't satisfy the itch that I have that can only come from Village Life. Unfortunately, I have no excitement to play your games right now because I am desperate to find a game that is even remotely similar to how Village Life even was, if not a version of Village Life that I could play, however if you were to release Village Life I'm sure that my interest in the games would soon come back with fervor. If you consider releasing Village Life again or a sequel that has similar game mechanics, there will be many players that would be excited to play it again and many that would probably find more interest in your other games if you supported one of their old favorites. Thank you for your time reading this, and if you decide to continue the game thank you for doing so. Kind Regards, WeWhoEat A Village Life and Sims fan82Views1like1Comment
