F1 25 Keeps Freezing and Crashing on PS5 Even After Restart
Hello I’m experiencing frequent freezing and crashes while playing F1 25 on my PlayStation 5. The issue occurs both in the game menus and during Career Mode gameplay. Sometimes it freezes while navigating menus, and sometimes mid-race — and then the game crashes completely, returning me to the PS5 home screen. I have already tried: Reinstalling the game Clearing the PS5 cache through Safe Mode Restarting the console (multiple times) Ensuring the latest game update is installed Verifying that storage space is sufficient Despite all these steps, the problem still happens after every restart. My console is well-ventilated and no other games are showing similar issues. Please advise if this is a known issue and whether a fix or patch is planned. Your help would be appreciated.
Sporadic Game Freezes
Sometimes, while racing, the game will straight up freeze for half a second, and then continue as if nothing happened, except during that half second the game was running and I ended up missing my braking or touching an opponent; normally it just causes me to lose my car. I thought it could have been some graphics configuration, but even setting it to low or medium does not stop this from happening. While on high settings the benchmark gives me max fps of 112 and min of 22, on medium/low it goes up to 250 fps and min of 20-22. I've checked the cpu/gpu/ram allocation during the game session and its all looking normal. This only happens with f1 25, all other games run incredibly smooth (and usually at high/max settings). It doesnt happen consistently, but like, 1-3 times over a 3-4hr racing session, and it doesnt consistently happen at the beginning nor later on, it seems to happen at random moments. How can I fix this issue? I have an i9, rtx 4070 super, 64gb of ram, an ssd and am running windows 11. Playing through steamVR Crashing with SteamVR
Ok so my game crashes in VR mode as the title says. It's usually when I'm going from a big screen view to actual VR mode. Also sometimes on startup it will crash as well. What usually happens is that the game will freeze and SteamVR will have a critical error and ask to restart or quit, after a few seconds it closes the game. Usually right before the crash there is a loading SteamVR icon at the bottom right corner of the screen before it crashes. PC Specs: Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX 4060, 32GB RAM, Standard link cable, medium graphics settings I know that I am not the only one with this issue as I have seen people on other platforms (Reddit) with this exact issue. I also have F1 22 and when i tired using that in VR mode it does the exact same thing as F1 25. What I tried: Different GPU drivers Different Games (F1 22) Reinstall Meta, Steam, SteamVR and F1 25 I also noted that my usage is only around 75-80% (GPU). Please help as this error makes it demotivating to race longer races or to even play the game at all (don't have a monitor for my sim rig yet so stuck with VR). Every season it freezes once in the two-player career menu on the loading screen and you can't do anything. After that the game freezes when loading. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know. It just pops out. What happens when the bug occurs? The error message appears and then game crashes. After that the game does not load correctly the resources or freezes while loading (e.g. joining the career mode). I already updated my drivers, deleted the harrdware setting folde rim my Documents folder and also verifier the game files of f1 25 multiple times. Constant freezes or stuttering every 1–3 seconds (even offline) Specs: - CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i5 12400F - GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 - RAM: 32 GB - Storage: SSD 150 Go Free - OS: Windows 11 - GPU Driver: Latest NVIDIA driver (updated today) Performance tests saying I run perfectly but I'm experiencing frequent freezes/stuttering every 1–3 seconds while playing F1 25 — this happens both online and offline, including main menues, solo races in all modes and online lobbies which makes me lose at least 1 second a lap to other players. This is what I tried: - Launched the game with -dx11 argument - Set FPS limit to 60 / V-Sync off / Graphics set to Low - Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling: OFF - Internet is stable (13ms ping average on my last test with cmd) - No background apps causing load - Updated drivers & Windows 11 fully up to date That's different from all complaints I saw from other players because my game doesn't crash so I wonder how you guys can tell where's the problem from.
