Always Crashing on Title Screen Once but it starts up fine on the 2nd time.
This is what I see for roughly 20 seconds with nature ambience, before the game's audio stutters and it closes itself. When I boot up the 2nd time it runs fine - I can enter the game and play completely normally. This crash happens garunteed everytime whenever there's a long enough gap (probably an hour) where skate hasn't been ran. After that first crash I can boot it up fine as many times as I want. This has been happening since the start of season 5 but it hasn't bothered me that much, but I've reached my final straw at having an unrelated replay bug happen to me recently so I'm just gonna report this one because I want stability back I guess. I have a very low-end pc so it might be the main reason why this happens, but season 3 ran fine, barely ever crashed, and that was after the major graphics update. (and season 4 ran fine after the black screen bug was silently patched) -- so idk how much a priority it is for the game to run on low end hardware, but it seems like it can be fixed. Own the lot challenges tracker bugged
I completed the own the lot in hedgemont completely and it’s glitched where in the crew bounties says I have only completed 1 goal in the own the lot challenges. I completed it with a crew, it glitched so I completed it solo and then also completed it again with a seperate crew.. went as far as turning the ps5 on and off.. still glitched and it’s effecting me completing my crew bounties I’m trying to grind! Please help meeeeeMy game is not working at all.
So my game is complete bugged out and I do not know what to do about it at all. I am worried because I have been unable to play for as out a week and some change now. The game will start as normal but when it comes to loading in, it takes FOREVER( like 10 to 15 mins which has never happened before). Then, the game becomes unplayable completely. I’ll be greeted with a grey screen and just the slam counter going over and over again. I tried to teleport to a different player and it just wouldn’t do anything. So I’m lost. I love the game and love playing it. I was part of the pre alpha testing and haven’t put the game down since. Severe Memory Leak and AMD Driver Instability in skate. (PC)
OS: Windows 11 Pro (24H2) GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Driver Version: Adrenalin 25.9.1 WHQL CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3600 MHz Game Version: Latest live build as of September 2025 Issue Summary The game skate. exhibits two critical technical issues on PC: A progressive memory leak that causes RAM usage to spike up to 20+ GB during extended gameplay sessions. Severe instability with AMD Adrenalin drivers, resulting in frequent crashes, black screens, and system hangs. These issues combined make the game nearly unplayable and pose a serious risk to system stability. Memory Leak Details RAM usage increases linearly over time, with no signs of deallocation or garbage collection. Working Set observed via Process Explorer climbs from ~6 GB at launch to over 20 GB after ~90 minutes. No paging activity; memory is retained indefinitely. Leak appears tied to: Replay Editor (possible frame buffer accumulation) Asset streaming (textures, meshes not released) Physics engine (persistent colliders or rigid bodies post-respawn) Expected Behavior: Memory should be recycled or released when assets are no longer in use. Skate freezes PC, disables my GPU on Adrenalin versions after 25.12.1
Without fail, if I have a more recent version of Adrenalin installed and I start Skate, the game hard freezes requiring a hard reboot, and after rebooting my GPU (9070 XT) is disabled in Windows 10, requiring me to re-enable it in the Device Manager and rebooting a second time. It's possible this has been happening with earlier versions of Skate but I was on an ancient driver for most of the past year due to the UI blending/disappearing issue with AMD drivers in Skate that persisted for like 6 months. My Windows 10 install is as up to date as an ESU version can be and this has been happening with at least the last few versions of Adrenalin. I've tried limiting the boost clock of my GPU in windows as some have suggested and I've disabled all ways for windows to automatically update my drivers and I'm still experiencing this issue. Not really sure what else I can do.
Multiple Season 5 bugs
The new season is phenomenal in my opinion, but as with each new season, there are new bugs. Here are the ones I have encountered. All occured on PS5. I can not progress past page 4 of the DLCS crew bounties. The bounty "Complete Goals in Market Mile Own the Lot Challenges" is not working for me. I did both OTLs in Market Mile, getting 4 goals complete on each and neither triggered the bounty completion. I have been getting a lot of long black screens loading into challenges. Not soft locks, but sometimes there is a 30-ish second black screen when starting a challenge. I believe this has to do with many challenges now having Slappy or Izzy replace Vee for the mission start/end dialogue. Slappies (the trick, not the man) are not working properly for me. Since last season, about 50% of the time I attempt a slappy it tries to put me into a lipslide or boardslide, instead of a 50-50. This happens in both Regular and Goofy, and both facing towards and away from the curb. Placing any kind of QDO is iffy currently. Most of the time I can place one just fine but placing a second, or duplicating the first one causes the new one to be stuck in place, transparent, and unplacable. I have been getting infinite loading screens from returning to marker far more than usual, which is especially annoying in an OTL. On top of that I have been having much longer load times when reseting to marker when far away. It sucks to reset to marker in an OTL and have to sit there for 10 seconds before it finally loads. This might not be a bug, but I feel like I have been falling off my board a lot more when attempting to flick a trick out of a grind. Again, especially annoying in an OTL. Sometimes some Block Party HUD elements become hidden while participating. This has only happened to me once. The player list on the left as well as the timer became hidden, with only the objective showing. It didn't affect anything gameplay wise and went back to normal the next round. Attatchments are of the DLCS crew bounty and the issue I have with slappies.
Game Crashes Entire PCs
I am completely and totally not alone on this. I have been able to see that this is happening to any user who uses an Nvidia graphics card paired with an AMD CPU for the most part. I have an RTX 5080 with a 9700X. Literally just google “the new skate game crashes my entire computer” and see what you find. This game crashes my entire computer every single time I launch it. Not just kind of crashes it, it fully resets and restarts my entire computer.. I am not alone in this, and it has not been acknowledged not a single time during bug talks at all. This issue has been persisting for over six months now and has prevented me from completely and totally playing the game. Sometimes I get lucky and it doesn’t completely crash my system, but then on next launch the cycle continues. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game more times than I can count. I have verified the integrity of all the files more times than I can count. I have reinstalled windows on my computer in hopes that it would fix the issue, but it did not. I have completely and totally reinstalled every single driver on my system in order to try to fix the issue, but this is not a me issue. This is a you issue.
