Challenges status - List of everything
Update info : 2025-09-17 (For my fellow americans ISO 8601) Creation of this topic for the public forum. I'm currently reviewing 0.27.7 challenges. Preamble So the goal here is to list every challenges so far (the static ones and the ones in rotation. The mission challenges aren't displayed here) and point out if there is an issue with it. The advantage is to list everything in one post and communicate on every challenge to seek help if needed. If there is workaround on bugged mission, a link will be provided into the arrays. Note : 0.27.5 done. Awaiting for 0.27.7. Don't be shy, I stated some challenge as "No issue" but i'm sure there is some. I reaplayed almost every challenge listed and so far I'm fine with what I wrote. If you do not agree, please share your feelings. Feel free to leave an upvote, so it can benefit more people. Issue type First thing first, I will explain below what I meant in the "Issue type" column as it cannot be fully understandable : Grind issue : It implies that the rail or grindable surface is bugged or the physics do not behave as intended. Some rail have the bad habits to make turn your character on itself and miss your line/trick. Boundary(ies) : It means that on the current challenge, when you do your tricks correctfully, the challenge doesn't validate the trick(s)/objective(s). But it does if you are in the said boundaries (aka the yellow-orange-ish area). Challenge design : The challenge works but some objective are way too long or miscalculated. Or the challenge tell you to perform some tricks but validates it only in certain order. Skill issue : The community has to be better. The challenge is not that hard. Hippy jump : Hippy jump is either bugged because it cannot pass under the obstacle or bugged due to boundary issue. Physics issue : Pretty straightforward, the physics is incoherent with how it should behave For other type, they are mostly self-explainatory. Common issues List of issues that can be seen in any kind of challenges. It's an abstract to record this elsewhere than in the arrays I shared below. Issue type Has workaround ? Invisible player Yes Issue seems mostly fixed but can reappear on Co-op. If so, you should try to teleport on one of the fellow you're skating with. Knockback when go on your board No When you mount on your board with triangle or Y, if you are in a steep angle or a half-pipe, the game make you bump backwards. Other case, when you mount your board while next to a wall or a tall object, you bounce right of it and jump into the air. Hedgemont Name Difficulty Has issue ? This challenge is made correctly and the issue is in the comprehesion of the objectives. So to complete this challenge : You need to start a held kickflip that goes to endless spin while doing a 360. I succeed but spamming and getting my character to stay attached to the air continioner. If you bump on the ground and succeed to go in the trash bin, the goal is not counted. I just started playing the new skate game and right after the tutorial it told me to go to the extravert to level up when I went there it showed an error message when I tried again it was locked and I tried to reset the game progress and delete it and then download it again but my character returns to the same position ,It shows as if I don’t have a level at all and the game “bot” repeats the same thing “go collect your thank you gift” if I remember correctly. I know it’s just early access but I haven’t seen it happen to anyone and one more thing in the left side of the screen where the mission are it reads “go to extravert to level up. I will attach a picture of my screen if someone can help me out I will appreciate it.Skate is a great game, in spite of what haters say.
It is basically the STEEP of skateboarding. A balance of realism and fun. Okay, they could add a No HUD Mode and grunge up the map and characters a bit. But for Early Access it is really well-polished and the game play is very solid. You should have seen how bad DayZ was in Early Access for comparison. So yeah, the haters are mostly just Skate 3 fanboys holding an irrational grudge against a company they already despise for irrational reasons. The sane among us know that Skate is the greatest skateboarding game of all time. All time.This game is so sick.
I absolutely love how every time there is an update, I have to redownload the game, remake my character, lose all of my prog, and get forced into a tutorial for a game that I've been playing since I was 12. Its so fun and in no way making me never want to touch this game ever again.Simple feedback. The gameplay design is all wrong.
Its wrong, so wrong. Here's some reasons why. The map is horrible, some challenges have a tree right in the middle of the platform that is lit up in fluorescent yellow, why I'm not sure, they think we're stupid maybe. Or maybe its trying to please everyone so even people with bad eye can play this bad game. The climbing and parkour can be fun but they're not needed, we need better board stability and the speed of just about everything needs increasing, let us change the truck tightness and how hard the wheels are, I think it needs better map or a lot of the spots need to be designed better, some parts do not fit in and get in the way. It needs an incentive to keep you playing otherwise you're just grinding out spots until you get one you can't 100% do because its designed so poorly, you don't have to 100% it but this is a Skating game, you want to. I want some type of story, or you make a Skate magazine and other people join it, like a crew, making people work together or battle within the magazine, creating highlights that are voted on monthly or weekly between crews for cool rewards. The look of the game isn't good enough, I understand they tried to make a game that doesn't require anything high-end, I respect that, but it doesn't look good, especially (ill mention it again) the fluorescent yellow to tell you where to trick, the blue lines and arrows were good from Skate 3. I won't talk about the issues with it always being online, we all know the how bad this can be, same with microtransactions and it being a free to play, I would prefer to spend 50-60 $/£ and get a complete game, but it is what it is. Positives are that it can be fun at times and it's fun to play with friends, some of the clothes and boards, trucks, and wheels look nice. The fact PS4 can play with PS5 and Xbox One with Xbox Series is great, more games should do this if they're going to make low effort art styled multiplayer games. If you're going to use an AI voiceover, please give us options for voices. This has taken the place of what would have been Skate 4 which disappoints me, but ultimately I thank EA for keeping Skate 3 servers online!Skate early access feedback
Hello! So far I’ve played for about 5-6 hours straight since early access launched and it finished downloading. Currently I’m at level 5 for hedgemont and level 1 for gullcrest. I know this is going to be worked on over time but I’d really like to see more clothing and customization options; for example in skate 3 we could customize our own clothing to have custom colors based on the cmyk scale built in with the games character creator, and I think that would be awesome to bring back. Another thing is that I’d like to see more hair colors and maybe eye colors? If the game’s gonna be goofy and ridiculous anyways then why not have some fun eye and hair colors? Also id love to have some goth clothing options or maybe some free banners with pride flags so that players can express themselves and celebrate how they identify. Also please add more grip tape colors and designs, and maybe allow us to have free placement over the stickers on our boards, it would be really cool to try and remake my real life board where I have an enjoi sticker under my trucks or along the edges. I’ve been liking the game so far but I’m hoping the environment will be a little grittier over time, maybe some trashed street grates or dumpsters to grind and trick over. There are so many things I’d love for you guys to add but this probably won’t be seen by the developers but I’m pleading and begging with all my heart, please please if someone does see this and can add at least one idea over time, more customization and shirt options for each piece if possible like button downs, flannels, more skirt and shorts options, more socks, hoodies with adjustable hoods like in skate 3, and maybe more crop tops or tied shirts? I really want my skater to look like a skater and not just a girl that waltzed out of a really poorly stocked zumiez store. Anyway… thank you for making skate. At first I was skeptical but it’s really fun once you give it a shot, the core gameplay has felt pretty good but some challenges are **bleep** near impossible. TLDR: please add more clothing and customization options + colors and styles, and please adjust the geometry collision physics for some larger sky dive drop in challenges. Thank you Skate. Devs
