Challenges status - Main topic
Update info : 2025-11-03 (For my fellow americans ISO 8601) Reviewing for 0.28.5 challenges done. I've reached 60k max character with this post. Preamble So the goal here is to list every challenges so far (the static ones and the ones in rotation. The mission challenges aren't displayed here) and point out if there is an issue with it. The advantage is to list everything in one post and communicate on every challenge to seek help if needed. If there is workaround on bugged mission, a link will be provided into the arrays. Note : Reviewing 0.28.5 done. Don't be shy, I stated some challenge as "No issue" but i'm sure there is some. I reaplayed almost every challenge listed and so far I'm fine with what I wrote. If you do not agree, please share your feelings. Feel free to leave an upvote, so it can benefit more people. Issue type First thing first, I will explain below what I meant in the "Issue type" column as it cannot be fully understandable : Grind issue : It implies that the rail or grindable surface is bugged or the physics do not behave as intended. Some rail have the bad habits to make turn your character on itself and miss your line/trick. Boundary(ies) : It means that on the current challenge, when you do your tricks correctfully, the challenge doesn't validate the trick(s)/objective(s). But it does if you are in the said boundaries (aka the yellow-orange-ish area). Challenge design : The challenge works but some objective are way too long or miscalculated. Or the challenge tell you to perform some tricks but validates it only in certain order. Skill issue : The community has to be better. The challenge is not that hard. Hippy jump : Hippy jump is either bugged because it cannot pass under the obstacle or bugged due to boundary issue. Physics issue : Pretty straightforward, the physics is incoherent with how it should behave For other type, they are mostly self-explainatory. Also, I just don't want to register some times despite doing it normally. I succeed but spamming and getting my character to stay attached to the air continioner. If you bump on the ground and succeed to go in the trash bin, the goal is not counted. anyone else feel like the way the foot is positioned almost straight looks very ugly, ive never seen a skateboarder push with lets say front foot on board completly straight it would be impossible to steer please fix, it ruins the feeling quite alot! minor issue but incredible impact to feel, anyone else feeling this?Some feedback and wants from this game.
Id like to first say the the core game is fun. I do have fun with it. The graphics are ok as well. But here is the wants and honestly some questions. Where is the skate culture? I see 0 of this throughout the city. Where is badass rock/punk/metal songs? Where is hall of meat and x ray? Where is all the skate brands like blind, zero, independent, spitfire, etc? Id like to see some genuine skater feel and look to things(the dark humor, the grit, the grunge, the punk, etc), way more brands around, actual good tunes, we definitely need the hall of meat with x ray back, can we also have the ability to smack NPC with out boards again too, also where is the blood(not gore. Just simple small splatter) for when you smash yourself everywhere. There is potential in this game but it feels devoid of anything at all, and way to perfect and all goody two shoes and nice and stuff. It makes it kinda insufferable at times.Stop This Scummy Monetization of Rip Chips
I am so close to getting 11k rip score, and what do you guys do? You make it next to impossible for me to reach that score because the boxes that are left are CS2 cases that will give you a random chance for an "in-game prop" that is the only thing that can give you rip score, but instead I get TITLES THAT DON'T COUNT TOWARDS ANYTHING. I am so pissed off that today I opened at least 7 DIY boxes for 250 RIP CHIPS THAT I EARNED BY DOING THE SAME CHALLENGES FOR WEEKS ON END just to get shafted and get titles that do nothing but get me really angry and frustrated! I only got 1, YES ONE of the props??? Remove all the titles, no one wants them and no one desires to have them, stop making your game so predatory it is like a casino not just by the boxes but even by the constant game loop of playing for an hour doing all the challenges and getting off, its repetitive, annoying and downright unfair to everyone who has spent alot of time on this game. Fix your boxes, especially for END GAME CONTENT (or even just make a separate box for all the crappy titles you have), and make it so that it is alot easier for EVERYONE to get the last achievement of 11k Rip score in the game, whether they have given you their hard-earned money or not. Also, I demand a refund for all the chips I wasted on the stupid titles that I will never ever think twice about. I thought you were better, EA and SKATE. But you are the same greed-filled company that I saw long ago.
