Cannot maintain connection to Gallery and Wallet
Ever since the June 30, 2026 big update, I cannot connect to game after launching to main menu. It shows my status as "offline" even though I am "online" in the EA App. When I select to open the MarketPlace or open the Gallery, a box pops up and I am prompted to either "stay offline" or "connect". I chose to "connect" and the game just seems to stay in a loop of attempting to connect until I select "stay offline" which stops the game from attempting to connect. I have tried the following fixes: tried opening EA App as an Administrator; repair the game; clear the cache via EA App; repair EA App; uninstalled/reinstalled EA App; cleared the %temp% folder; deleted localthumbcache.package; remove old Sims 4 folder and start with fresh folder devoid of mods; checked my firewall (which Sims 4 has permissions); power-cycled router.; in the Windows Powershell, entered ipconfig /flushdns and press enter, type ipconfig /release and press enter, type ipconfig /renew and press enter, type netsh winsock reset and press enter, type netsh int ip reset and press enter, type netsh interface ipv4 reset and press enter, type netsh interface ipv6 reset and press enter and type netsh interface tcp reset and press enter; increased my virtual memory; and deleted the GameVersion.txt file. I have also deleted all files and folders in the %temp% which seems to be a temporary fix and I can maintain connection to the Gallery and Marketplace for until the next time I log on, then it's back to not being able to connect. I have to keep deleting the files and folders in the %temp% folder in order to be connected ableit temporarily. I have included my DxDiag file and screen shot of the wallet which weirdly shows my moola balance but yet I can't connect to the Marketplace (usually the balance does not show, only "---" when I'm unable to connect). I have attached my DxDiag file for any suggestions with my computer. I really just want to be able to access the Gallery seemlessly like I used to before the big update back on June 30th. Thank you!Game Crashes Entire PCs
I am completely and totally not alone on this. I have been able to see that this is happening to any user who uses an Nvidia graphics card paired with an AMD CPU for the most part. I have an RTX 5080 with a 9700X. Literally just google “the new skate game crashes my entire computer” and see what you find. This game crashes my entire computer every single time I launch it. Not just kind of crashes it, it fully resets and restarts my entire computer.. I am not alone in this, and it has not been acknowledged not a single time during bug talks at all. This issue has been persisting for over six months now and has prevented me from completely and totally playing the game. Sometimes I get lucky and it doesn’t completely crash my system, but then on next launch the cycle continues. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game more times than I can count. I have verified the integrity of all the files more times than I can count. I have reinstalled windows on my computer in hopes that it would fix the issue, but it did not. I have completely and totally reinstalled every single driver on my system in order to try to fix the issue, but this is not a me issue. This is a you issue. I have completely and totally reinstalled every single driver on my system in order to try to fix the issue, but this is not a me issue. This is a you issue. Ive never had issues running my game in fullscreen mode however since season 5 my game will run in fullscreen for a few minutes then my monitor will black screen and once it comes back my game will be around 15fps. I can briefly fix it by changing the resolution to a different one then back to normal but it will happen again a few minutes later. Has anyone experienced this before and know a solution? its really frustrating.40Views1like4CommentsV-Sync broken and DLSS Model Preset stuck at M (update 0.32.0)
Since 0.32.0 update, skate. is no longer correctly respecting either NVIDIA driver-level graphics settings or its own in-game V-Sync setting on my system. I have performed extensive troubleshooting, including a full NVIDIA driver removal with DDU, deleting skate.'s local configuration, and verifying the Steam game files. The issue persists across all of these tests. DLSS Model Preset: Before update 0.32.0, I had manually added "skate.exe" to NVIDIA App → Program Settings and used the NVIDIA DLSS Model Preset Override feature to select Preset M. After the 0.32.0 update, skate. continued using Preset M even after I removed the NVIDIA-specific configuration and returned NVIDIA App to its default: DLSS Override Model Presets = Use the 3D application setting. DLSSIndicator reports that skate. is still using Preset M regardless of which DLSS mode I select: DLAA, Quality, Balanced, Performance or Ultra Performance. This is not simply a leftover NVIDIA driver profile. I performed a full NVIDIA driver cleanup using DDU and installed the current NVIDIA driver from scratch with default settings. There is currently no skate.-specific NVIDIA profile configured. I also deleted the entire "%LocalAppData%\Skate" folder and launched the game again, allowing skate. to generate a completely new configuration. The problem remained. Steam's Verify integrity of game files also made no difference. Additional evidence: The newly generated "%LocalAppData%\Skate\tier-manager-cache.json" contains six instances of ""codeName":"NvidiaDLSS.ModelPreset"" with ""intOrEnumValue":4". The corresponding enum names are "DLSSModelPreset_Default", "DLSSModelPreset_J", "DLSSModelPreset_K", "DLSSModelPreset_L", and "DLSSModelPreset_M", so "intOrEnumValue: 4" corresponds to Preset M. As a test, I manually changed all six "intOrEnumValue" values from "4" to "0" (Default), saved the file, and launched skate. After launching the game, all six values had automatically been changed back to "4". This happened even after deleting the entire local Skate configuration and allowing the game to recreate it. I do not know what is writing these values back — whether this is an internal skate. configuration/default, a tier-manager issue, or some form of account/cloud-synchronized configuration — but the game is clearly recreating the same M configuration. V-Sync: Before update 0.32.0, my normal configuration was NVIDIA Global V-Sync On, skate. in-game V-Sync Off, with G-SYNC/VRR enabled. This worked correctly before the update. After 0.32.0, NVIDIA Global V-Sync is no longer respected. The game runs well above my display's 120 Hz refresh rate. I have also tested skate.'s own in-game V-Sync setting. Changing it between On and Off does not appear to change the behavior; the game continues running at approximately 130-140+ FPS. NVIDIA Overlay and MSI Afterburner/RTSS report frame rates above 120 FPS on my 120 Hz display. Therefore this does not appear to be only an NVIDIA driver-level V-Sync problem. The game's own V-Sync setting also appears to be ineffective. As a temporary workaround, I am currently using an RTSS framerate limit of 116 FPS. This provides good frame pacing and smooth VRR behavior, but it does not fix the underlying V-Sync problem. Troubleshooting performed: Removed the previous skate.-specific NVIDIA App configuration; returned NVIDIA DLSS Override Model Presets to Use the 3D application setting; performed a full NVIDIA driver cleanup using DDU; installed the NVIDIA driver again from scratch with default settings; confirmed there is no skate.-specific NVIDIA driver profile currently configured; deleted the entire "%LocalAppData%\Skate" folder and allowed the game to recreate it; verified the Steam installation using Verify integrity of game files; tested both NVIDIA Global V-Sync and skate.'s own in-game V-Sync; and tested the generated "tier-manager-cache.json" configuration. None of these steps changed the behavior. Expected behavior: skate. should respect "Use 3D app setting" for NVIDIA DLSS Model Preset selection rather than forcing Preset M across every DLSS mode; it should respect the game's own V-Sync setting; and it should respect NVIDIA driver-level V-Sync when the game is configured to allow the driver to control V-Sync. Actual behavior: After update 0.32.0, DLSS Model Preset is forced to Preset M across all DLSS modes; the generated "tier-manager-cache.json" repeatedly contains "intOrEnumValue: 4" for all six "NvidiaDLSS.ModelPreset" entries; manually changing these values to Default ("0") does not persist because skate. rewrites them back to "4"; NVIDIA Global V-Sync is not respected; skate.'s own V-Sync setting also appears not to work; and the game can run at 140+ FPS on a 120 Hz display regardless of the selected V-Sync setting. I load the game. I play for 5 mins. I go to Build Mode. After I start building, for example, let's say I'm building stairs and adding a platform, the platform tool does not line up on the grids, now the walls don't line up on the grid and once you drop them they go on the grid. That's when I know when its about to glitch out. Then I can't even delete or place anything. This is all in a matter of 5 minutes of opening the game. I can't save or exit out. It completely freezes. This has been happening for a month now. I have no mods, it does it even without cheats. I've tried repairing it but that doesn't work. Can someone please help?Infinite loading screen
Everything was fine until the last game update; now, when I try to launch it after the update, I get stuck on the loading screen. It loads a few shaders and then just stays loading forever. Even when I close the game, it keeps running in my Task Manager and consuming resources. I’ve reinstalled it, cleared the cache, launched it via both Steam and EA, verified the game files, restarted my internet, and tried both Wi-Fi and a wired connection—AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!! CM EDIT: Removed Portuguese post. Please post only in the language of the forums.171Views4likes8CommentsVery Low Framerate in San Van- PS4
After this update, the game is unplayable on PS4. The textures take an eternity to load and the framerate is always dropping hard. It's so bad that the game usually feels like it's in slow motion. The Isle of Grom is the only thing that's playable for me now.190Views7likes5CommentsFree Move Jitter problem
Ive been having this issue in build mode for almost a year, when i try to freely move my objects in sims (ctrl, shift, c) it jitters and i can never place my objects correctly because it jitters/ glitches so much. I can’t include a video in the thread but its really frustrating. Ive tried almost everything to fix it for ex; resetting my game, taking my mods out (still happened with them allll out), verified my game’s authenticity, uninstalling and reinstalling my game, re doing my mods folder etc etc. nothing has worked for me. I was wondering if i could get help.Game still crashes my entire PC if no other window is open while SKATE launches.
Devs, I feel like this issue here is why "skate is dead" or whatever the haters say. This problem has been plaguing this game for me since I started playing over 600hrs ago. I would love to just fix it so I don't have to restart my PC everytime I forget to open a foreground window.15Views0likes3Comments
