"Origin is not installed and is required to play your game"
I'm not sure if this sent because of bad internet, so I'll do it again. I tried to install an expansion pack for the Sims 4 with a cd from a physical expansion pack from Walmart, but it's a couple of years old, and it says that it requires Origin to continue setup. I canceled the installation and took the disc out and decided to play the game as is, but it now says that I need to download Origin to continue. Origin doesn't exist anymore, so I'm not sure on what to do. I uninstalled the game entirely and then reinstalled it, but it's giving me the same error. What do I do?
game stutters despite high end pc and fps please help!
at this point i’m at my wits end. i’ve tried just about everything. wiping my mods folder, reinstalling sims, even doing a fresh install of windows. i’m still struggling with stutters even though i get extremely high fps 300+ my specs are: NVIDIA GTX 4090 AMD 9950x3D 64 GB Ram DDR5 1tb SSD has anyone else experienced this issue lately? it didn’t use to happen it just seemed to get worseI can't select a lot
I'm trying to start a new game without an existing character, but when I try to create a Sim and select a lot, all the lots have exclamation marks on them and I can't select them. I've removed all the CCs in the Mods folder, but it's the same. I heard that it could be become when I have For Rent Pack but I don't have it.
cant save build to ssd
Hello. Hope someone can help. Sometimes when I try to save a build to local ssd the game will freeze and throw up a message..something about online saving...but I dont want to upload to the online gallery I would like to save local. see included.. After shutting down the game and thus losing the build, I can rebuild and then save, but it will sometimes not let me save the build locally by throwing up another cannot save message. specs windows 11 EA simsboost off r77800x3d 48gb ram nv3060 12gb 2gb ssd C drive(--> where sims saved/run)+2tb virual drive+4tb wdhd The game never used to do this its only been the last past year, where its failing to save the builds to ssd. Anyone got an idea as to fix this?Game won't launch on PS5.
Open's the splash page, can press Play Game and second splash page with Skate title appears. Then goes to black when trying to load the game. Won't even load into the main start screen. I've tried everything from reinstalling, rebuilding the database, clearing cache, and factory reset. Still won't load into the game. Hi, I upgraded my graphics card to RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. When I launched Sims 4, I've got the message about unsupported graphics card. I said "OK, I guess this card is too new to be recognised by the game yet" and decided to add it. So, I located GraphicsCards.sgr, copied it to ConfigOverride folder in My Documents and opened it. What I've found inside was shocking. The latest Nvidia graphics card added was RTX 4080 and latest AMD card added was RX 6700 XT. RTX 4080, the latest card on this list, was released in November 2022, so, over two and a half year ago. And since then, no new card was added? Seriously EA? To make sure I don't have some older version of the file on my PC, I went through repairing the game files in EA App. But still, no change. Obviously, EA stopped adding new cards and I have to wonder why. Anyway, I added my card to the list and now everything works without issues. But still, EA should be adding new cards to the list with updates, as this is causing troubles for less tech savvy Simmers, who, after graphics card, or computer update will get this message and may even panic that there is something wrong with their new configuration. And that's not good.
Moving sims mods back onto C from D
I’ve had such a nightmare with trying to transfer my mods and cc over to my external hard drive. I feel like I need to start again and move my files back onto my laptop to do this and to have a through clear out of cc I don’t use or like anymore. Does anyone know how to move these files back onto your computer from the hard drive? Is it the same way as putting the files on the external hard drive? I just want to play again!How well does this laptop run The Sims 4?
I'm upgrading from my old laptop (HP laptop with i3-N305 and 8GB RAM) to a Dell Inspiron 15 3530 with an i5-1335U, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 120Hz screen since my current one can barely fit the game on its 256GB SSD with all packs and even with few packs it's still tight, and the UHD Graphics can only run the game at 60fps if it's on low settings, how well does the laptop I'm upgrading to run the game?
