Game Lagging After Update
Hello, The game has lagged severely after the latest update. I have tried moving all mods and CC and also moving the entire Sims 4 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto my desktop and there is still severe lag. This has never been an issue before. I've attached the DxDiag.
Black Screen When Loading Game, PC Needs Restart
Yesterday night, I opened my game and when it loaded a black screen showed up, only revealing an image when pressing the enter key and needing a restart. It happens with or without mods, I have deleted the game cache and the EA App Cache, also repaired the game. All my mods are updated. This problem happens over and over again.
Best cheap laptop for TS4?
I’ve been playing on a MacBook Pro for a long time with no issues, but that laptop finally crashed. I’m looking for a PC laptop that can handle the game with most expansion packs and some mods. Price cannot be over $500 (US), but cheaper is of course better. Aside from the game it’ll just be used for normal internet/Netflix kind of stuff.
Worried about my new desktop
The one I'm using is dying. I have a new one but there is no slot on it for CD/DVD. My original game and a few others came on CD. I may not have all the emails. I want to change over, but not sure how to get everything I paid for. Also, my game crashes when I try to use the gallery. Can anyone help?Households and cc gone!! please help :(
Hello, i tried to download some more cc earlier but my onedrive storage was full (i had no idea my files were bing uploaded to onedrive, really annoying) and i have tons of storage on my pc so i followed a youtube tutorial on how to transfer my files from onedrive to general pc storage. I loaded the game afterward and my saved household was gone, along with my downloaded cc. When i clicked 'browse local files' of the sims 4 on steam, the game was located under Program files 86x > Steam > Steamapps > Common > The sims 4 All my files were there, but half of my mods were gone (they were all single files) and there was also some numbered files i had never seen before. I hadn't downloaded anything, i had just deleted onedrive, moved some things around and used my registry editor to change some locations. I moved my Electronic Arts folder around a lot, as well as copying it and deleting it, so i probably messed something up. My cc looks to still be in the mods folder correctly but it isnt working At the moment I have deleted the sims 4, as well as all of its files on my pc (i made a copy of my mods), and i am now redownloading it. I've tried so many different things and im practically begging for help, i dont reeally care if i have to redownload all my cc, i just really want my household back - i only have one and ive spent days on it If anyone needs any screenshots please lmk!!
My Sims 4 starting up in a tiny window
Greetings. I appreciate any and all help I can get on this matter. Whenever I start up my Sims 4 game on my Acer laptop this happens. It immediately minimizes and stays on this screen. I have tried disabling all apps on start up, disabling Discord on my laptop, I tried a system config on my Windows 11 to troubleshoot any background applications. I still see some background applications when I load into the game however they seem to be necessary for the computer's function (I'm not super savvy on computers so I can be wrong on this). I just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions are much needed and appreciated.Sims 4 saves not transferring
I transferred my friends game from her computer to my computer following another discussion on this forum. It involved moving the save, and tray folders from her computer to a thumb drive and copying it to my computer. Everything worked fine and she has made progress on my computer but wants to now move that progress back to her original computer. I followed the same steps moving it over to mine but for some reason it wont work trying to move it back. I did realize her progress was being saved on Microsoft one drive and wonder if it has something to do with that. I did attempt to turn off one drive and play the game to get a local save and that didn't work. I also tried to copy the files off of the one drive and that didn't work as well. Any help would be much appreciatedsims 4 crashing on loading screen/won’t launch
HELP!! my sims 4 will not launch! or rather it will start to, but then crash before i even get to the main menu screen with all my save files. i have repaired the game & the EA app, uninstalled & reinstalled the game, uninstalled & reinstalled the EA app, removed all mods, restarted my computer, updated my computer to Windows 11, cleared the cache & all exceptions, updated my graphics card…. i don’t know what else to do. i even deleted all of my save files in case one of them was corrupted but the game still will not load. please help!!
