My laptop freezes while playing with dx11
Hello! I have heard that playing with DX11 increases performance and reduces lag for the sims 4 and I wanted to test it and play with DX11. Unfortunately, whenever I play with DX11, at random time the laptop freezes completely with no way to exit the game with shortcuts. I do not have this problem with DX9. My video card is Nvidia Geforce GTX 3050. I am attaching my DxDiag file..Will it run sims 4
Will https://www.currys.co.uk/products/acer-aspire-14-14-laptop-intel-core-5-512-gb-ssd-grey-10264852.html run the sims 4 with like say 50% of the packs with mods and cc? If not what are some good recommendations for around the same price. I'm no good with specs and stuff but someone told me it was good.Game freezes, crashes or both.
Hello there! I'm writing this as my last resort because I don't know what to do anymore. About two weeks ago, I upgraded from MAC to PC. I transferred my save file and all mod and cc I had been using to the new PC. The only new thing added to my game was gshade since I couldn't use it before. I have never been able to play my game in this PC. (GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5070 Ti). Every time I play the game, it crashes from 5 minutes to 20 minutes into the game. Crashes out of nowhere are rare, what usually happens is that my game freezes, I can't click anything but I hear sound effects like something is happening, even though I can't see it. If I click on the windows key and try to go to the game again, it either crashes or the screen turns completely white with sound effects in the background like before until it eventually crashes. I've tried updating every mod (even though in my MAC they still work fine), I uninstalled gshade, I took my mods folder out, created a new save, tried an older one, the game remains just the same. It runs for 20 minutes tops and it seems that mods or cc are not the issue since I tried to play in a clean save. I also tried repairing the game, and still it did not work. The same issue remains. I haven't had a PC in a good 5 years so I think I might be forgetting something system related. As of now, I made sure the HDMI cable is connected to my GPU, and I also selected the graphic's card on the graphic settings for the game to make sure it doesn't use my motherboard at all. I checked the drivers for my graphics card through the system and it says it's updated. My fangs also seem to be working well, and the RGB on my RAM is on so I'm assuming it's also working as intended atm. I have 32 GB of RAM. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. And if anyone else is having this problem or there's a suspicion that it's an EA thing and not a build thing, please also tell me. If I don't find any solutions I might just return the PC since the game it's working perfectly fine on my laptop/MAC. Is this a good call? Idk262Views0likes14CommentsSaved game files not working
Hi, I recently got a new SSD card for my computer. I wanted to transfer my old save files onto the new SSD card as I had to reinstall my sims game. I looked up on google how to and it said to just copy my old save files into the new sims 4 file. I did that and restarted my computer yet my old sim saves aren't available. I don't know what to do to fix it. I really don't want to lose all my sims, as I love them and worked hard on them aha. can someone please help :)game stuck on load-in screen
My game keeps being stuck on the loading/welcome screen that says "The Sims 4", right before the screen to load saves. Earlier today, it was fine. I was playing it and all was good. I took a break, and then when I came back it had this issue. And this was like 3 hours apart! I've tried repairing the game. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still won't work. Please help.Hair glitching when I have Edge Smoothing turned off
Hi. I upgraded to a PowerSpec G525 Gaming PC a few days ago. I play TS4 with DX11. My AMD graphics are up to date. After downloading TS4 I've been experiencing graphics issues I have never had before. One of the biggest issues is that when I have edge smoothing turned off in CAS my Sim's hair will start glitching. Pixels flash wildly in and out (making it hard to take screenshots of the issue). It doesn't happen as often if I'm fully zoomed out. This will happen even if I have zero CC or mods installed. I did think this issue was caused by CC nails at first because it would happen every time I would apply them, but even after I took all of my mods out and did a full reinstall of my game this is still happening. It wasn't happening on my last computer. Possibly related, I've also noticed that when I zoom out in live-mode clothing will have weird lines around seams in the mesh (I can share photos if necessary, but I'm not sure if it's related to my main problem at all since it happens even with Edge Smoothing on). This wasn't happening on my last computer. Any ideas what this could be from and how I can fix it? I don't want to turn edge smoothing on since I'd like to download Reshade eventually. Attached are screenshots of what it looks like when the pixels flash out.PC for Sims 3 and Sims 4 and all DLCs
Hello, I am having issues with my Sims 3 since downloading on my MacOS. I want to transfer all games to a PC and use my Mac just for work. I need a Windows PC to access my old DLCs for Sims 3. Would this be a good PC to purchase? Also, hoping this fixes the issue I am having with Roaring Heights, I tried deleting and redownloading with no success Trying not to spend a crazy amount on this https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omnibook-x-flip-2-in-1-copilot-pc-16-2k-touch-screen-laptop-amd-ryzen-ai-5-16gb-memory-512gb-ssd-meteor-silver/6613869.p?skuId=6613869&extStoreId=373&utm_source=feed&ref=212&loc=22616781737&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22610441925&gbraid=0AAAAAD-ORIjcstA5CZOKYRu-eNNL-PQtO#tabbed-customerreviews28Views0likes3CommentsCan't update
My gaming laptop has 222 GB of storage space. I only play the Sims 4, that is the only game I have on my computer. But the game is so large that I ran out of space, and I can't download the new update! So I can't play the Sims 4 anymore! I already stopped buying any new Sims 4 content after For Rent. I don't have all the mods because there is no room. I emptied my cache, my documents, pictures, did disc cleanup. Ugh, anyone else with this same problem? How many GB does The Sims 4 REALLY need for all the content? What can I do to get more room to allow this game to run? This is ridiculous. Should I just give up on The Sims 4?112Views2likes10CommentsSims 4 not loading
Hey guys! I've had this issue for about a month and a half and I don't have any solutions. Every time I try to play my Sims, the game freezes before it even loads. The music still plays like normal, but all I see is the starting blue screen before the Sims 4 logo pops up. I have no mods installed and have almost every one of the additional packs. I have deleted the caches for the game, have even set the Fullscreen back to 0, but nothing is working. Unfortunately, when this happens, I have to force restart my PC laptop to close the game. I believe there have been two SIms updates and one EA update during the duration of the issue and nothing has changed. Is anyone else having this issue? Please help, I'm really missing my Sims.
