[PC] Mass Effect Unauthorized DLC Error
Commander, you've received a new message at your private terminal! Ready to jump back in the game and save the galaxy? Are you running into an error that matches the following: "Unable to authorize the listed DLC"? Below are the steps to help resolve this error when launching both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. Checking your account First things first. Make sure you are logged into the correct account. With older titles, we may often end up with multiple EA accounts without realizing it. Use the following steps to verify you are in the correct account. Head on over to EA.com and log in with your EA credentials. Under the About Me section, make sure you see a Mass Effect ID. If you play on Epic/Steam/Switch, check the Connections tab at the bottom of the page to verify the accounts are linked. Click on Order History, change the drop-down to match All, and scroll through the content, as there should be logs here with each DLC name. Note: If the EA account previously had an EA Play subscription, once the subscription ends, you will lose access to any additional content the subscription provides. You can read more about what content is included in the Learn about EA Play article. Once you verify you are in the correct account, perform the following steps below as these should help reinstall the DLC content and resolve these errors. Troubleshooting Steps Locate the following folder on their PC Default Path: C:\Program Files\EA Games. This path may vary depending on where the player installs the game. C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect 2\BioGame C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame Delete ALL DLC content within the DLC folder Delete EA License Files Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER. Enable View Hidden Files and Folders Delete all files in the "License" folder. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact one of our advisors to review the account and the content currently linked to the account you log into the game with. Players can contact our live support team on our Help Site. To request a chat or open a case through email. If the game does not start for you, there are several possible workarounds: Notice: Mass Effect Legendary Edition will not run on Windows 7. LE1 & LE2 will not run on CPUs with only 2 physical or logical cores. (You need 4 logical cores.) If you changed the global settings inside the "Manage 3D Settings" panel of the NVIDIA control panel anytime in the past, look at this post. Disable "Controlled folder Access" of the Windows defender. Disabling OneDrive PC folder backup. Corruptions in the "License" folder might also keep the games from starting. Make sure Origin and Steam are closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time Copy and paste C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services into the new window > hit ENTER. Move the "License" folder to your Desktop > Test. A overprotective Virus scanner or other security software could also block the access to game files. (If you use "Sophos Home Premium" or other Sophos products look at this post and this post .) Disabling Bluetooth on some motherboards fixed the issues for some players as well. The Nahimic audio service, which is installed with the Realtek audio drivers from some motherboard manufacturers like MSI or Asus, causes many problems, and here it does too, it seems. (The Realtek stand alone audio drivers normally don't have the Nahimic software installed.) ROG's Sonic Radar 3 is one of the apps that uses it. If you use a VPN, look at this post. Check if the regional settings of your EA account (not EA app) is set right . If you have the game on Steam and it will only launch EA app but not the game, a possible cause is in this thread. (Warning! This requires some deeper computer knowledge.) Fixed: If you have a Windows user name with special characters in it: Either: create an new Windows user account with only ASCII characters in it. > Reboot > Log on to the new account > Test. Or: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "control" into the new window. (Without the quotes) > Hit ENTER. Choose "Region" > Administrative Tools > Change Locale > Check "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" > klick "OK" Reboot > Test. This issue was fixed with Patch 1.03 It looks like the game requires a CPU with AVX instruction set It turned out that only the Launcher needs the AVX instruction set. Almost all CPUs built for end consumer use in the last 10 years have this instruction set. However, if you are not sure, you can check the technical specifications of your CPU on the manufacturer's website. If you have this problem, in this post by is a workaround for the problem. (As always, use third party tools at your own risk.) This issue was fixed with Patch 1.0359KViews48likes448Comments[PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode

Hi EA Team, I am a huge fan of the Mass Effect series. I recently bought the Legendary Edition on the Epic Games Store so I could finally experience the first two games after loving Mass Effect 3 on my old Xbox 360. :( However, I found out that while the Steam and EA App versions of the game are available on GeForce NOW, the Epic Games version is not. Since I don't have a powerful PC with enough storage, cloud gaming is my only way to play. :( Please consider opting-in the Epic Games Store version of the Legendary Edition for GeForce NOW so fans like me can enjoy the trilogy. :( Thank you!132Views0likes2CommentsHow to set xbox controller in ME3 to run
Hi everyone, I bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition a couple of days ago, and I'm currently playing ME3 (I already played 1 and 2 long time ago) I plugged my old xbox controller to my PC and it seems to be working properly. However, I didn't understand how to set it up for certain "moves" , for example, I don't how to set the button to make Shepard running. Could you please help figure it out? ThanksTakes 20 mins to Launch Mass Effect Legendary
Hi there, As the title states, I am taking supremely long to boot up the game. I had just finished LE1 and wanted to start LE2. After finishing the day, I had closed the launcher and went back in to see LE2, and it had taken really long to boot the game. I suspected it had to do with the large save files from LE1. So I followed one of the forums and tested to remove the save files and placed it elsewhere in my computer to check. I was right, once the save files had been taken out, the launcher booted up immediately. Now that I want to port over to LE2, I want to know how to preserve my game files, while wanting to play LE2 (which i can't because of the long load time). One of the errors that the EA launcher error code that shows up often is EC10604. At present I have uninstalled and deleted all mod managers and have preserved a copy of my game files from LE1 I had uninstalled and installed the game several times and the long load time still persists. I had also heavily modded the game. Anyone able to help me please, thank you!Mass Effect 2 - Failure to Launch
Every time I try and launch Mass Effect 2 I get an error screen on EA App that "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try it again a little later". A little later it still isn't launching and Uninstalling and reinstalling it also didn't help. I'm not sure what to do or how to fix it. Is this just me? Any help appreciated!Mass Effect Legendary Edition not launching on Steam Deck
I've found 3 threads on EA about Mass Effect not launching on Windows from the last month. I'm afraid I've had the same issue on Steam Deck too :( Things I've tried: Verifying the integrity of the game cache Launching from desktop mode Uninstalling and reinstalling Launching after reinstall from desktop mode also I've updated steam, proton and mas effect. Would anyone have any other suggestions on fixes? I've been connected to stable internet every time I've launched it. It will say I'm playing it, then immediately close. The closest I got to anything was after I reinstalled it and launched it from desktop mode where the EA app opened a window which said it was installing. But then of course it didn't launch :( I'm 100+ hours in and I just want to finish ME3. It's my first play through of the entire series and I just really want to finish it 😭Solved2.7KViews0likes1Comment
