I've started building Craftsman style homes in Newcrest. I've figured out a few things already (keeping the value of starter homes under §20k, building dormer rooms, etc.). But there are a few things that I haven't figured out how to do. (These are all based on actual Craftsman style home designs, which I'm trying to recreate in game.) Gables (especially those facing the front) are often covered with scalloped shingles rather than with regular siding. The game includes a few styles of scalloped shingles, but I can only put them on roofs. I can't put them on gables. Is there a way to put scalloped shingles on gables in the base game (no packs, no cc, no mods)? If not, then do any packs include scalloped shingles as wall patterns? Another common treatment of gables is board-and-batten siding. Do any packs include board-and-batten siding as a wall patterns? If the slope of stairs up to the second floor matches the slope of the roof, then actual designs use this to their advantage. The ceiling above the stairs can be sloped, matching the slope of the roof: even with the lower floor ceiling above the bottom of the stairs, and even with the upper floor ceiling above the top of the stairs. I'd like to incorporate this feature, but it seems that the game insists on the ceiling above stairs being even with the upper floor ceiling for the entire length of the stairs. Am I missing something? I've figured out how to build dormer rooms when the walls of the dormer room are all vertical. But many dormer rooms have angled walls (ceilings?) that follow the slope of the roof. Is there a way to reproduce this in game in a way that require "Walls Down" view to keep the roof from obscuring what's going on in the dormer room? Instead of full-height columns supporting the front porch, Craftsman style homes often have short pillars made of brick or stone that matches the foundation, with short columns extending from the top of those pillars to the porch roof. I haven't been able to recreate this in game. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.Questions About Dining Tables & Buffet
Long rectangular dining tables: When I tell my sim to set the table they can't or won't place settings in the middle. If I add chairs at the ends the sim will place three settings at each end, leaving the middle empty. Is this a known bug? 2. Buffet Tables: Serving food at a group Party Event, do you click on a meal and select 'Call To Meal'? That's how I've done it and used one of the round tables with the drink or gravy fountain. Am I missing another option? I have mixed results serving food at events, especially weddings and funerals. 3. How are you serving a multicourse meal for hosting a seated dinner? The chef aspiration goal. Is there a way to serve a 3 course meal in stages - appetizer/soup, main, dessert? Or do you put it all on the table and Call To Meal? Thanks for advice and feedback!SolvedFree kick 168 km.h
Hello dear readers and developers, if you're actually reading this. I have played 1900 hours of Pro Clubs in FC 26. I noticed that with 90 overall and the gold "Brain Architect" specialization, the ball speed never goes above 168 km/h. Even if you set shot power to 99, the ball speed doesn't increase — is this by design, or is there a problem here? I fill all the bars to the very end — meaning -3.7 bars. And it's no secret to those who love taking free kicks that the last segment (the fourth bar) is further divided into 8 bars, with the 8th being the final one — and that's the point of overcharging the power. Now, I have scored many goals with that final bar, and the ball speed ranged from 158 to 168 km/h. Knuckleball did not enhance this shot. The question is: does the Architect specialization on a midfielder actually increase free kick power to the maximum? Is that really the case, because I tested this and there is no difference between 90 and 99 if you have the gold specialization Letme know if you'd like any adjustments to the tone or phrasing.428Views3likes18CommentsMoving houses to different lots?
I've started building houses in Newcrest, and I've run into an issue. I built 5 nice Craftsman style houses in the Ridgeline Drive neighborhood. Only after I had them built did I realize that I had a house with a relatively wide floorplan on a relatively narrow lot, and a house with a relatively narrow floorplan on a relatively wide lot. I'd love to be able to move the wide house to the wide lot, and the narrow house to the narrow lot. But obviously, I don't want to bulldoze them and build them all over again. Is there a way to take a home that is on one lot and simply move it to another? Or, if there is a way to copy a home that is on one lot to another, then I could use any of the empty lots as temporary holding locations as I shuffle the houses around.SolvedIssue with Evolution Progress
Hello, In the Rewards section of Evolutions, I was trying to start the “Old-School Winger” Evolution and selected my player. After that, I mistakenly thought I had started a different Evolution that I had not completed before, so unfortunately I had to cancel it. Since then, I have been trying to start the repeatable Evolution (which can be completed up to 8 times), but I keep receiving a server error every time I attempt to activate it. I have waited for 3 days hoping the issue would be resolved, but nothing has changed. Could you please investigate and fix this issue? Thank you for your assistance.21Views0likes0CommentsEgonVM's Ultimate NPC Making Guide 2.0
So yeah, due to how these forums work with the spoilers, the original guide is somewhat messed up and updating it would result in loss of information. So, after some consideration, I've decided to make a V2.0 thread on it, using the similar approach to the List of Traits with link trees and each pack being in its own post (so it is collapsible). This thread will have two main posts under which I'll post the info. Please do not reply under them. You may reply to this post or other replies (including mine). Links to important replies: NPC Making List Additional Guides But how does it all work? Basically, if you ever wanted to make custom NPC sims, good news is that most of them can be done without any mods. The main cheats you are going to require are those: testingcheats on traits.equip_trait [trait_codename] careers.add_career [career_codename] In the guide, there are 5 types of "difficulties" I'm going to use (and emojis I'm using with it): 🔷Played-Friendly - These ones, usually traits, can not only also be taken from sims the Played Households, switching to the household the sim is in won't make them lose their NPC status. 📝Simply Assign a Career/Trait - These will lose their NPC status when you play with them. The usual way of making those is by making these sims, equipping them with the required traits and/or careers, then evicting them. 🏙Location-Based Career - Unfortunately, this is where the career location matters, and it is the venue they'll be working at. As to my knowledge, there isn't any way to set a career location to a sim without mods, the best bet here is to modify sims already working there or make one of the custom sim unplayed and hope they'll appear in that role. 🔻Must Be Unplayed - You may assign a required career and/or trait, but they'll won't appear in the role until you set the household to be unplayed. 👨👩👧👦Out of Control - Welp, these sims are chosen randomly from a broad selection. No way to influence the game to pick the sim you want... And in addition, these emojis represent the following: ✅️ Must have, meaning that your sim must have that skill, trait, career etc to appear in this role. 🟡 Optional, meaning that your sim can have it for the game to consider them more for the role, but they don't need to have it. Sometimes used in sub-types. ❌️ Mustn't have, meaning if your sim has the skill, trait, career etc, the game will never place them in the role even when all other conditions are met. ❕ Splits into sub-types, meaning that for the sim to appear in the role, they must meet at least one of the requirements in the following list below for the game to consider them. Ghosts and sims that are currently at work are usually excluded. In addition, this list shows the sims that will be excluded from the most of the roles: I've also decided to bring out templates too. These are not important when making NPC sims, but are rather some interesting side-info on how sims are generated for the role by the game. So yeah, look at the list and have fun making your own NPC sims!142KViews38likes476Comments
