Switch 2 Pro Controller Support.
Now that the Switch 2 is getting more support from EA, it would be nice if the EA App would get some sort of native support for the Switch 2 Pro Controller same as Steam has. This would be great since there are people like me that want to use a controller to play games, but do not have an XBox or a DualShock/DualSense and instead have a Switch Pro Controller. At this time the only options are either to get a 8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter 2, install BetterJoy or attempt to wrap the EA app with Steam by adding it as a non-Steam game, however even with this the EA App overlay can aggressively block or cause issues with the inputs of the Pro Controller.Age verification for the EA app
I would REALLY LIKE EA TO START AGE VERIFICATION FOR ALL GAMES!!!! I am (and a LOt of other people) are sick of getting kick/banned for saying or typing cuss words that ARE PART OF THE GAME!!!!!! IE:BF6: EVEN THE AUDIO "MEDIC!! I NEED A F*****G MEDIC!!" Is PART of the GAME!!!!! This IS a M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB rated game that is being played by young minors who SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THIS GAME!!!! IF YOU ARE NOT 17YRS OLD OR OLDER, YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LOAD THE GAME AT ALL!!!! Facebook/Meta/tictok are ALL being (now) required to do age verification for their accounts, EA SHOULD BE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO DO THE SAME THING AND AGE VERIFY ALL EA ACCOUNT HOLDERS AND ENFORCE KICK/BANS ON PLAYERS UNDER 17YRS OLD. STOP ALLOWING MINORS TO PLAY MATURE GAMES, AND LET US ADULTS HAVE ADULT CONVERSATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EA app Library Customization & Favorites Feature Request
I would love to see more customization options added to the EA app game library. One feature I would especially like to see is the ability to favorite games. Favorite games could appear in a dedicated “Favorites” section or automatically be displayed at the top of the library, making it much easier to quickly access the games we play most often. It would also be great to have additional library customization options, such as: Adding games to Favorites Displaying favorite games at the top Manually organizing games in a preferred order Creating custom categories such as “Favorites,” “Recently Played,” and “Installed” Hiding games that we are not interested in seeing Choosing how games are sorted and displayed in the library The EA app already has a large game library, so these features would make it much easier for users to organize and personalize their experience. These may seem like simple features, but they could make the EA app feel much more personal and user-friendly. I hope EA considers adding more library customization options in a future update. EA App Flyouts
EA App has annoying flyouts that are distracting and break window cohesion: Other terrible game launchers (read Epic Games Launcher) use similar methods of pushing out garbage that no one pays attention to... Good game launchers (read Steam) don't have disruptive, distracting excrement that takes up valuable screen space.Add option for closing app entirely when you hit the X
Please for the love of almost everything except money put in a switch that will let me close the EA app entirely when I hit "close" in the top right of the window, instead of "closing" to the system tray (effectively just minimizing the app.) I do NOT want ads popping up in the corner of my screen. I will Go Out Of My Way to not purchase anything that is advertised to me in this invasive manner. I do NOT want the app to be running in the background when I hit the "close"- CLOSE! button. Not Minimize! Close! General computer courtesy, in my opinion, is allowing the user to control their experience. EA is failing spectacularly at this by prioritizing their Ads over user experience, if what I suspect (that this wasn't a decision by the devs and was instead a decision by management) is true. I suspect this because almost every other app in existence that might have a reason to minimize to system tray (auto updates, etc.) gives the user the option to forego whatever niceties that minimizing to system tray does and close the app entirely, should they wish to. Even if it takes menu-diving to find. Another idea: Allow us to turn off pop up ads. We already pay money for your games, and I'm certain you already sell any data of ours that you can get your hands on to ad partners. At least give us the option to have a clean app experience (at the very least for those of us dedicated enough to find the settings to make it so.) Do better.
Restore ability to hide games in library
Since you just closed 4 year old topic suggesting restoring basic functionality (that was present in origin) here I am to create new one. Please restore ability to hide games or remove them from account. This is very important for games that are demos, betas or no longer available Why do I have to watch Bejeweled 3 every time I want to find battlefield in my library? Why do I have to watch ea sports madden nfl just because I clicked on wrong tile while I had EA Play and it was instantly added to my account? I cannot even play it, it requires me to purchase subscription again (tile is grayed out) so I really have no idea why is it even visible in my library... I want to hide all these ugly mistakes and keep my library clean. It would be plus if I could add tags or group games into custom groups but just this basic functionality of hiding games and optionally removing them from account would be great.The EA PC app is still broken after 3 years
Seeing others comment on this and having run into it for the first time, the EA app is a buggy piece of trash on a good day, but today takes the cake. Tried playing Jedi Survivor, no issues until game crashes, send report and try to reopen, EA app refuses to open. I have a game that I didn't purchase on an EA platform, dependant on an app that doesn't work, and I cant even talk directly to support stagf because EA doesn't recognize that I own the game that they won't let me play. Look to old forum posts, and google around. Not one case solved by EA, suggesting that factory resetting your computer is the final troubleshooting option to make their broken app maybe work. The state of the gaming industry today is truely sad. From being EA, its in the game, to this, destroys any good memories I had playing any of your games, and the nostolgia you are hoping keeps us buying your dying properties fades more every day.
