Dislike of the new Family Tree
I'm very disapointed with the family tree updated. Before the update when you clicked on a sim in the family tree it focused on them and their kids. Now every one is mixed in together, and it's difficult to tell what sims belongs to which family member. Also newborn babies are not showing until they get to the Infant (2nd) stage. Is there a better way to organize/focus on one particular family line without all the extras added in? Or could a possible improvement be made so that if you select one sim you only see their direct line and not the other relatives?Unplanned pregnancy and
I would love to see an optional accidental or unplanned pregnancy system added to The Sims 4. Currently, pregnancy only occurs when players intentionally select “Try for Baby,” which offers full control but removes surprise from storytelling. A optional accidental pregnancy feature, enabled through a game settings toggle, would add realism, unpredictability, and deeper storytelling especially for players who enjoy legacy and generational gameplay. The chances could be rare and balanced, influenced by traits, emotions, relationship levels, or age, and include emotional reactions such as shock, nervousness, excitement, or conflict that affect moodlets and relationships. Keeping this system fully optional would ensure players who prefer complete control can continue playing as they do now, while others can opt into a more dynamic and realistic experience. This feature would align well with The Sims 4’s focus on emotions, storytelling, and player choice13Views0likes0Commentstoo much disparity in firestorm 30
These no malus no FA worlds are great but I noticed less experienced players are finding lower level targets (16-20) just as difficult as more experienced players are having with these higher level bases (26-30). So what I mean specifically by this is that i can shoot outposts 3-6 levels above my army level and the difficulty is somewhat similar to shooting the same unit vs unit set ups that are 10-15 levels above my OL. My presumption is that if the lower level targets were much easier to destroy than it would encourage less experienced players to try and shoot higher level targets, maybe by having a negative malus effect on smaller stuff it would compel players to aim a little higher in target level choices. I know its been difficult with all the changing development teams to keep an even keel but to have such a massive difference in power level between a new player and even a somewhat experienced player after only one week of playing is a bit ostentatious. If i had it my way you would all be punished in a way that you would enjoy very much in that implementation of a fair and competitive environment of my design would be invigorating for the current player base. The very best way to make the servers fun would be to go back to the beginning of this games rule base and start the process of patching out the exploits all over again but with a more experienced vantage point. There's still time EA, with the advent of war on the horizon many more people will look for ways to alleviate their frustrations and nervous energy, inclusion and immersion solve issues that matter, especially in times like these. if i could build my own server i would increase world size remove poi and place the fort at the level 40 range with a slight malus on the current FS30 settings. There would be a huge advantage to collaboration efforts and a scrin faction is still very appealing is the player base not contributing enough resources to do a bit better? why do people even make games i forget? chadthurstonQ&A: Royalty & Legacy
#AD (just in case this counts as social media) I was invited to join the CFE (not final build) opportunity for The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy. Thank you to the EA Creator Network for this chance to answer questions for you about the pack! I will be taking and answering mainly questions about gameplay - Skills/Traits/Aspirations/Career/Venues/Systems/Collections/Lore - and anything else you guys want to know about! I did test with ALL PACKS in as I believe this is yet another pack with cross-compatibility possibilities related to the various systems. (Please Note: Testing with other packs in is unsupported before regular Early Access, so may be extra buggy.) Testing was/will continue to be done on a mix of fresh CAS Sims and premades, to see lore and experience different levels if they are present. Format will be similar to past Q&As where I have links to each subject and add more info to each based on questions asked and as I discover things through gameplay. I can't start posting right away this time due to the embargo, but will be continuing to take notes/screenshots and will post info when I can. P.S. - I have a Creator Code, so if you find my Q&A useful you might consider it as an option at checkout. Using my code gives me a small commission (5% regularly, 7% during sales) and can even save you a little bit of money on TS4 DLC during sales (normally 5%). My code is EmmaVane. Just enter the code on the the payment screen where Promo Codes normally go. Thank you, EA for this opportunity. Imagine a 90s town in a lake or mountain world with a zombie outbreak, mixing enverioments and ambiences from survival horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Not only a way to introduce one of the last occults in the game besides mummies, but also a good way to return to the StrangerVille like packs.13Views1like0CommentsPost-apocalyptic, dystopian, or sci-fi game pack pls
I know we already got Journey to Batuu and Get to Work for sci-fi and other game packs that could suggest a bit of post-apocalyptic and dystopian aesthetic but not quite. As someone who's very into these movie genres I'd love to see these adventures on my game, seeing new gameplay, new occults, new objects and clothing focused on these themes purely; Not centered on a specific movie series, nor small features in other packs themed/centered on something else. A combination/s of these could work as well!48Views4likes3CommentsWill the age gaps in Sims 4 ever be rebalanced?
When you try to make a 12-15 year old character in Sims 4 it’s so strange. The child model is too small, the teen body is too mature, the same size and development level as the adult. A 13 year old is not an adult, but teenagers play this game. They’d like some representation! Will the dev team ever correct this? We need a preteen body type between child and teen. The teen body type should also be adjusted to be visually smaller than young adults as well. It makes the families look weird when preteens, teens, young adults, and adults are all the same body type. Really hoped we’d see these changes when the high school expansion rolled out, please consider fixing this. These are supposed to be fam8lies not the cast of FRIENDS. 😄44Views1like2CommentsSome Nit Picky Requests
I might have made some posts mentioning some of these before, but here is a a list of nit picky requests that technically should be very easily done by a dev (like a matter of some file tuning), even by modders (and in some cases might even be mods) but asked to be official. OR: Catch and View Insects all need to increase Entomology Skill. At this time only Catch with Net works and only available for flying insects. Herbalism should be available to use in Cauldron and [EbN]+[OR] Add Herbalism to Apothecary Table | EA Forums - 12621176 JA: Speed up Archeology Activities (even with mods this just seems slow, and without painfully slow). CCSP's Gemology Table should work with Archelogy Table for selecting Crystals to Refine. RoM: Magical Realm, replenish the Frog Water Pump for each visit (I noticed these replenish in other worlds). Copypasto more items, specifically from other packs (such as EbN Apothecary Items/Ingredients). EbN allows some Alchemy Ingredients in the Apothecary Table to be stored, CCSP has Crystals/Metals in the Gemology Table, Frogs in the Storage Chest, etc. but when you click the Cauldron it is as if it is not available (where as food ingredients such as Apples show available in the fridges for the Cauldron). Spellcaster with a point into Spellcaster Socialite will autonomously use these socials when talking to other Spellcasters. Spellcasters with the spells: Scruberoo will automatically/autonomously clean self in low hygiene, and instead of mopping/cleaning, and Delicioso when self is hungry, use Floralorial on bugs, and Repario at least toilets. Magical Realm, isn't effected by Seasons but plants are, I don't think they should be "as this is a magical realm", and should be able to harvest year round. ECO: RoM Items should be eco friendly and off the grid. At this time even an in use Cauldron increases industrial footprint, and often the Magical Realm goes industrial. Magic should be considered eco friendly and off grid IMHO. PSP Items (specifically lights) should be all (or at least 3/4, the sconce is a grey area) eco friendly and off the grid, they are lantern/candle (though not treated as a candle) types. EbN: Maintain Houseplant needs to Maintain All Houseplants in room/area, and stay watered longer (these die way to fast, are harder to maintain than a substantial garden, and I don't want to enchant Houseplants). [EbN] Naturopath Career Daily Task, stop dependency on Computers | EA Forums - 12581890 [LD][EbN] Please Make Mystical and Disruptive Compatible with Macabre | EA Forums - 12336117 [EbN] Sim Sleep/Toilet Preference Selection | EA Forums - 12676922 AA: Critter Hunter Aspiration should not include papercraft as Nature Aspirations should lean to outdoor activities, and not an indoor/sedentary activities like papercraft. I feel like they smooshed Entomology, Papercraft and Archery in this aspiration—instead of making separate aspirations for Papercraft and Archery.147Views8likes4CommentsForever Free Packs for Everyone
The Sims 4 is a 10-year-old game with over 100 DLC packs (106), and EA will likely keep releasing more for years. Competing life-sim games like Inzoi and Paralives offers much of this content in their base game. For example, Inzoi can provide content equivalent to 30–40 Sims 4 packs in its basegame for the price of just one expansion pack(40$) and we already have 20 of them. To stay competitive and keep players engaged, EA should make some older packs permanently free—such as Seasons, Cats & Dogs and Get to Work. Giving 2–4 free packs from each pack category would greatly benefit new players so they can complete other packs without pirating. For players who already own these packs, EA could offer new Kits free for a month (like they did with Desert Luxe Kit when The Sims 4 became free). I think forever free packs should be; 2 expansion packs -> seasons, cats and dogs (out of 20 eps) 2 game packs -> dine out, get to work (out of 12 gps) 4 stuff packs -> cool kitchen, bowling night, backyard, spooky (out of 20 sps) 4 kits -> throwback fit, industrial loft, blooming rooms, carnaval streetwear (out of 40 kits of excluding 11 creator kits and 2 spongebob kits, total 53)26KViews43likes62Comments
