I've missed you all!
Hi Simmers, I just thought I'd share something personal. Two years ago, I was in a coma and woke up completely paralyzed. During that time, I missed The Sims — and this community — more than I can express. I had to stop reading the forums after a few months because it was just too hard. The Sims community has always been such a big source of comfort and a creative outlet for me. Yesterday, for the first time in over two years, I was finally able to play The Sims 4 again. I actually cried during the loading screen. Like full on runny nose, headache inducing crying. LOL It was like coming home, or getting a tiny part of the old me back. My birthday is coming up next week, and I’m so incredibly happy to not have to miss out on my favorite birthday tradition again this year. I'm gonna grab a slice a cake and burn some poor sims house down LOL I’ve really missed being part of this community. I probably won’t post much since typing is still difficult and painful, but I’m so happy to be here again — even if I’m just quietly lurking in the background. 💛 Thanks for being here. cass ps, can someone give me advice on what to start saving up for? I missed 4 (ish) expansion packs and tons of kits and stuff. Recommendations please!232Views24likes22CommentsBurnt food should make a comeback.
As the title says because previous games had burnt food we need to bring it back especially with the fire like when the fire is out the food is gone or you have to throw it away but in previous games the food was burnt some times Sims burnt the food without the fire and I liked the idea especially if the Sims are trying to learn how to cook burning the food will be high up with both cooking and baking skill also in previous games the burnt food was still edible yes the Sims couldn't stand but it was edible.7Views0likes0CommentsUnderwater Camera
This has bugged me for a while now; they gave us mermaids, but they never gave us a camera setting to photograph them underwater. Not even the underwater photographer career lets you set up your own photos, but that's a whole different topic. To me, at least, this doesn't make sense, as I'd love to photograph them underwater in different poses. It just comes across as the camera settings were ignored when mermaids were added to the game. Such a missed opportunity. I'd also like for them to be able to interact with marine life and other mermaids underwater, but that's a whole different conversation.10Views0likes0CommentsUnderwater Lot
Hey, I'm looking for a lot that looks like it's underwater so I can take underwater photos of my mermaid Sims. Does anyone know a creator who has any? As I know, by default we can't take underwater photos, which sucks! I can't connect to the Gallery due to an error I can't seem to fix, so I would need to be able to download the CC and/or tray files elsewhere.growing together refresh
Growing together added a lot of interesting gameplay features related to infants and toddlers. However, there are still a lot of features that can be added to further enhance gameplay. Especially since business and hobbies now allows sims to operate daycares. functional strollers and car seats: I'd like to see a stroller object that can be used to take walks and jog with infants and toddler. The infant carrier is not enough. I'd also like to see functional car seats that can be attached to bicycles. Sims can ride around on bikes with their infant or toddler secured in the car seat. infant walkers: infants can practice standing up and walking using new functional walkers. add more rattle and teething ring options. craftable baby food: allow parents to craft jars of baby food and flavored milk bottles from harvestables and cottage living milk. This will be a great feature, especially since a lot of babies acquire the picky eater quirk. reusable cloth diapers. Sims can purchase cloth diapers via the computer or craft them via the cross-stitch box, which can be washed and reused if laundry day is installed. Cloth diapers can be stored in the changing table. If the sim runs out of clean diapers, they will have to resort to a disposable diaper. refillable water bottles: there is a blue water bottle that came with growing together (debug) and I'm not sure why there isn't a feature for sims to purchase water bottles, fill them, and place them in their inventory. If a sim is traveling outdoors during hot weather, they can use the water bottle to cool off. There should also be a functional thermos object that allows sims to transfer hot beverages into the thermos, place it in their inventory, and use it when traveling in cold weather. better interactive shells. There are a few world objects in San Sequoia that should be interactive shells. The greenhouse should allow sims to increase their gardening skill with rabbithole interactions. The boathouse in hopewell hills should be an interactive shell that allows sims to order food and drink and use travel interactions (similar to the business and hobbies train station).38Views2likes2Commentsbetter world terrain diversity
I would like to see more diversity in the terrain of the residential and destination worlds. Terrain elements can provide more gameplay features and interactions. The island living expansion added waterfront properties with swimmable oceans, beaches with beach combing, interactive caves and waterfalls, and rabbithole diving activities. This is an excellent example of terrain diversity. I would like to see EA continue and add additional terrain elements. Here are some suggestions. Lakefront properties. They would function similarly to sulani style waterfront properties. Players would still be able to swim and fish at lakes. The main differences would include: a new water sport, rowing. Sims can practice rowing on their own or join a crew team and enter competitions. Lakes will feature rocky shores where sims can collect rocks. Couples can enjoy paddle boat rides on the lake. Sims will be able to paddle, fish, and picnic from paddle boats. They will also allow map travel like other forms of transportation. Additional waterfront property features. Beach combing and scuba diving are nice activities. However, island living is focus on environmental conservation like eco lifestyle. I would like to see the following features added: the ability to collect sea glass and driftwood from beaches. The driftwood would be utilized for new woodworking recipes to allow sims to create their own castaway style furniture. The sea glass would be used to craft sea glass art pieces including functional wind chimes (backyard stuff). I would also like to see a sea cave that acts as a hidden portal to a hidden sea cove lot. Quicksand and sand dunes. If another desert terrain world is introduced, I would like to see these features included. Sims will encounter quicksand while walking around and can be caught in the quicksand. They will need another sim to help them escape or use adventure gear. Sand dunes will appear whenever a sandstorm occurs. They will function similarly to leaf piles. Wetlands with swamps and aquatic vegetation. If a wetland/marsh terrain world is ever introduced, I would like to see swamps and aquatic harvestables. Swamps will be smelly pits that sims can encounter while walking around. Sims can try to "swim" in them but are more likely to get stuck as swamps have a high viscosity compared to regular water bodies. In order to get out, sims can try to grab onto nearby vines or get help from another sim. Sims will also be able to find ponds with harvestable aquatic crops such as water lily, water hyacinth, and water cress. Forest thickets, functional trees, wild boars, and foraging. If another forest themed world like granite falls is ever introduced, I would like to see the following features. Briar bushes that function like toilet bushes, however, since they contain briars, sims may get injured. Functional trees that can be harvested for wood or used to set up a hammock (lounge chairs). Wood can be used for woodworking, fireplaces, campfires, and wood burning stoves. New wild boar wildlife that can be befriended and will help sims forage for wild truffles. Sims will now be able to obtain harvestables by foraging decor outdoor plants. Many decor plants will spawn insects but currently contain no harvestables.78Views5likes6Comments"Give Everyone a Taste of Seasons - Make It Free for a Limited Time!"
Hello EA Team, l am a player of The Sims 4 and my name is Ayla.I believe that some of The Sims 4 expansion packs offer content that enriches the core gaming experience. Specifically, the Seasons pack adds seasonal changes to the game, making the overall atmosphere more vibrant. I feel that these packs are essential for a comprehensive and enjoyable gaming experience. I think it would be great if these packs, especially the Seasons pack, could be made available for free for a limited time. This would allow players who do not own these packs to experience and enjoy the game more fully. Than you for considering my feedback.💗13Views0likes0CommentsMore pond effects
We definetly need more pond effects for building, so why not bring existing effects in the game like: - Rainbow fireflies - Will' o' the wisp - Butterflies - Aquatic birds - Pixies With Enchanted By Nature EP, it would be great if we could have some effects that teases the existence of other fae types like... - Nixies - Kelpies I doubt will get them in the pack, but that doesn't mean we can't have it in Base Game.44Views4likes3Comments[BG] New color swatches
Do you have any suggestion of BASE GAME items (create a sim or build/buy) that should get new color swatches? Drop it here. Add the cardigan top color swatches to the cardigan dress and vice-versa. Add the male varsity jacket color swatches to the female varsity jackets and vice-versa.8Views0likes0Comments
