Unfair RP Loss Due to Server/Connection Error in NHL CHEL Drop-Ins
Hello, I would like to report an issue that happened to me in NHL CHEL Drop-Ins. We queued for a match as a team of 3 players. We found opponents, confirmed the match, and started loading into the game. However, during the loading process, I received notifications that my teammates had disconnected one by one. They did NOT leave intentionally — the game itself kicked them out unexpectedly. As a result, I entered the game alone, and the match was immediately canceled. The problem is that only I lost RP/points because of this. I lost exactly 952 points. My rank was Diamond 3, Bar 2, while the opponent I matched against was only Silver 1. I also have a recorded video that clearly shows this issue and proves that it was caused by the game/server and not by us. I would like to ask if it is possible to restore my lost points since this happened because of an error on your side. I can provide the video evidence if needed. Thank you very much.High ping issues, looking for suggestions.
So I've been playing NHL since about 2010, and have played pretty much every game mode throughout the years, ultimately settling on EASHL as the main. A few years ago I thankfully switched internet providers from Spectrum to AT&T fiber and immediately had the best connection I've ever played on. Then about 8 months ago I started noticing my ping on every server went up by about 20-30 ms. I play in online leagues and have dabbled a bit in esports, so the change in connection started killing my motivation to play. I've talked to AT&T countless times to troubleshoot, had a tech come out in person and change out all the hardware, messed around with DNS settings, router settings, pretty much everything I can think of. Then a few weeks ago one of the AT&T customer support guys changed a couple settings and I noticed my ping went back to normal on the East (Virginia) server, but on Central and QC my ping is still 20-30 higher than normal, getting anywhere from 65-70 on central and 90-95 on QC. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experience and if they found a fix, because it's driving me crazy trying to figure out what changed after years with no issues. I always play on ethernet and have a 1GB internet plan. At this point I don't know if it's an ISP issue or something I can change in my settings on my Xbox Series X or something that changed with the NHL servers. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. For reference my ping in the past was always 46-48 on both East and Central, and always about 60 on QC.Roster Menus are extremely slow to navigate
Seems pretty obvious there's a problem with roster navigation. Scrolling through players results in a slight lag between loading player pictures and quick-look stats at the top of the screen. I've noticed this issue for the third year in a row on Xbox, others online have complained about this issue on Playstation as well. I've cleared memory cache and checked my internet and those don't seem to be the problem, have to assume it's a technical issue with the game. Happens in all roster screens no matter what mode, most notably in the edit roster screen from the main menu and in Franchise Mode. Makes changing lines and looking through players a slog. Again, I've done all the checks to ensure that this is not an issue with my console or my internet (I've had 2 different services in the last 3 years) and other EA Sports games do not have this issue including CFB 25/26 which hosts many more players.Small gameplay issue
Recently noticed a small bug with the gameplay. It happens in most modes and difficulties (I havent tried ones™️ or threes™️ yet). Unfortunately, the ai seems to be about 15 years out of date and not capable of stopping the rush at all. You can just skate past them every time. They will stop 80% of the dekes you do, though. This is not an enjoyable gameplay choice, nor does it teach new players how to play against actual human beings (or have fun). Game is super luck-based. Also not fun. Goalies routinely make insane post to post saves, yet will let every point shot in. There is no fix, i do not expect a response to this post from any ea community manager, because your team is incapable of fixing these issues. It would require you guys to make a new video game, instead of shoveling gameplay mechanics onto the rotting corpse of a 12 year old game. The new team came in with a year head start a while back, and that was the worst one yet lmfao. Also the menus are a joke. So horribly optimized its actually funny that yall ship the game this way year after year. I would not be proud of this product AT ALL.Game feels more responsive in Wildcard than Ranked/Champions despite higher ping
Hey everyone, I wanted to bring this up and see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing in NHL 26. I’ve been playing both Wildcard (Threes) and Ranked/Champions, and there’s a very noticeable difference in how the game feels: In Wildcard, I usually have around 48–50 ms ping In Ranked/Champions, it drops to about 38–40 ms So in theory, Ranked should feel better… but in practice, it’s the opposite. In Wildcard, the game feels fast, smooth, very responsive... but in Ranked/Champions it feels heavy with a very noticeable input delay... overall less responsive The difference is big enough to affect the player control, the shooting timing and for defense (poke checks often feel late, etc.) Possible reasons? Is anyone else experiencing this? Right now it just feels very counterintuitive: better ping, worse gameplay feel. FYI: Im playing on Playstation 5. Thanks in advance!Post-Update 1.4 input lag
Hi. It's been a week since the last patch, and the game still isn't working properly. It's not just the slow menu in the HUT or the laggy pack opening, which others have reported, but also the constant input lag during matches. I know not everyone has this issue, but I've been experiencing it for seven days now. After last week's patch, the game became barely playable for me. Until last Wednesday, before the patch, the game ran flawlessly, without any input lag. I also read on the forum that someone is having a problem where their team suddenly slows down, for example, towards the end of a match. I'm experiencing similar issues. Even though my entire match is sluggish, there are times when it gets a little better, or suddenly worse, so much so that the AI players don't even know what they're doing. It's becoming very irritating. I don't know how I lasted a week, but I'm already physically and mentally exhausted because the conditions I play in demand 200% concentration, which ultimately exhausts me. But most importantly, there is no fun in playing this game, even if you manage to win. It's hard to create any good plays, even shots come out weird, and it's hard to position yourself defensively and switch players in time. Sometimes it seems like the match starts at the right pace, but after 10-15 seconds, input lag appears. Network status during the match shows the same values as always (24-29 ms), even before the update, so they don't affect the input lag. The game feels like it's being played with a 100 ms delay. I forgot to mention that a slight delay is noticeable even in Moments, which are supposedly played offline but are somehow tied to the server connection. Ranked, HUT Champion, and Wild Card are a complete pain. I've tried everything – turning off my router/modem + resetting to factory defaults, setting different DNS, unplugging the console for a while, reconfiguring the network on the console, reinstalling the game, use two different controllers, rebuilding the database... All to no avail. Of course, I checked to make sure it isn't an issue unrelated to the NHL, but the console and other games run normally. I even launched HUT in NHL 25 and everything seems to work fine there. If anyone else is experiencing a similar problem, please join the discussion or at least give them a thumbs up, as it's unclear if the Team is aware of the issue. Until this is fixed, I think I'll give up on playing NHL, as it's not fun. Team, please do something. Thank you. Playstation, central-east Europe.
