[CURRENT ISSUE] Anti-Virus blocking User Folder (Screenshots/Gallery/Mods..)
There's currently an issue where some virus programs (namely AVG and AVAST) are blocking the user folder. There are several symptoms currently for this issue Taking Screenshots and Videos doesn't work as the game is unable to write them to the screenshot/recorded video folder Mods/CC and other changes in the options stay how they currently are cause the game is unable to write the changes to the file Gallery has red X showing instead of pictures. I assume that's the same problem as the game is unable to download the thumbnail pictures to the cache folder GameVersion.txt shows the wrong game version To solve this you need to add the following files as an exception to your Antivirus Program (see instructions for your particular program on how to do this). C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe For DX9: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_DX9_x64.exe Paths may vary depending on your installation. Both Avast/AVG have sections for Ransomware. You need to add it there. Battlefield 6 Latest Driver Reinforcement
Ok so I enjoyed the beta /w my RX 7900 XTX but had to deal with an annoying Radeon 25.x driver update enforcement popup that prevented game launch, I initially tried the 'recommended driver' (as I have with every driver using DDU beyond 24.7.1) & frankly, the newer drivers are all downhill & had multiple issues like Radeon hotkeys not working consistently, Relive recording completely broken & OSD missing FPS metrics + general responsiveness behavior worse than the older drivers on my setup, so I resorted to a registry fix for driver version(found on reddit) that is annoying as it also breaks the software compatibility on reboots meaning I had to reverse the fix before every shutdown, then re-apply it whenever wanting to play BF6. Reverting to 24.7.1 fixes all issues & functions consistently, with or without DDU. Also for reference, 5800X3D , latest chipset drivers, Win11 24H2 26100.4770, everything stability tested decent temps, great airflow(full set Arctic P14 max), Corsair HX1000i, all separate PCIe cables & no issues in any other games including Hunt Showdown, Tarkov, Days Gone, Expedition 33, CP2077 @ 4k. On 24.7.1 drivers with my RX 7900 XTX using regedit workarounds, the game ran flawlessly, OSD displayed FPS. It's frustrating that there was no user side option to Opt-out of newer drivers when older work perfectly fine. Honestly I hope this is just a 'beta' thing, as though I'm a returning fan from BF2 days, this is a huge deterrent for playability, Nvidia users are having to resort to the same methods too I believe, when some older drivers are better than newer ones in general.
Lack of air and ground vehicle development
The new Battlefield 6 really falls short when it comes to vehicle design and control, especially compared to what players enjoyed in Battlefield 4. Flying any aircraft feels unnecessarily hard to control, not because the system is complex, but because the responsiveness and handling are poorly tuned. Jets and helicopters feel heavy, sluggish, and unbalanced, making it frustrating for even experienced pilots to stay in the air or pull off maneuvers that used to feel natural in past games. Instead of being a rewarding skill, flying often feels like fighting against the controls themselves. On top of that, the game doesn’t offer enough large, open maps that truly showcase vehicles in their full potential. Tanks, planes, and helicopters often feel crammed into spaces that don’t support large-scale vehicle warfare, which takes away the epic sense of scale that Battlefield is known for. The lack of refinement in vehicle mechanics, combined with the shortage of proper vehicle-focused maps, makes Battlefield 6 feel like it’s missing the heart of what made the series stand out.
Digital Deluxe missing and steam packs are not in game
Hi, I was gifted some packs through steam by my sister who could not buy them though the EA app so she had to use steam. I've been trying to get the crystal creations and the Funeral pack working to no end. I ended up connecting my steam account to my EA account and not is is telling me I need to buy the digital deluxe upgrade which I have had for years! What is going on? Why is this so hard to get working? Why is the content I bought being deleted. please help. = (
sims 4 crashing on loading screen/won’t launch
HELP!! my sims 4 will not launch! or rather it will start to, but then crash before i even get to the main menu screen with all my save files. i have repaired the game & the EA app, uninstalled & reinstalled the game, uninstalled & reinstalled the EA app, removed all mods, restarted my computer, updated my computer to Windows 11, cleared the cache & all exceptions, updated my graphics card…. i don’t know what else to do. i even deleted all of my save files in case one of them was corrupted but the game still will not load. please help!!Game File Issues
I've recently moved my game to an external hard drive and was initially having issues getting all of my saves and mods/cc to transfer, however it seems I was able to successfully transfer everything but now when I try to load the game on desktop, I get the "TSR_x64.exe not found" message. And when I go on the EA app and try to load it, it stays stuck on "repairing" or "queuing". When I was first trying to transfer onto the hard drive, the EA app created its own version of the game in the Documents folder in my files and none of my data was on the file, it was like a completely new game. I thought I solved the issue when it seemed all of the data successfully transferred but I'm now not even able to open the game. On PC btw.
Help! I'm stuck on a Black screen
Hi everyone, I am having so much fun with this black screen. NOT! Firstly, my game was not played with for a few months due to the update and not having time, then finally had to time to do a big update. A bit of back and forth with moving my mods out, repairing, opening the game, closing, then moving the newly updated mods back in. Great! Started working! But then I was editing my home and my laptop died because of the battery running out. Okay... placed it on charge and Sims 4 screen was frozen in game. So I closed the game, no biggy because I had only just started anyway.. But then when I went to go back into the game, the sims 4 opens but is just black, no loading screen, no nothing😭 I've moved the mods out, repaired, cleared the caches... and even just waiting out the black screen but nothing😭😭 Does anyone have any tips for me please? I just had a spout of inspiration to play a certain story in the Sims after a long break and now my game breaks😭 Much appreciated for anything. Wendy💔
Game freezes then closes on opening loading screen
Hello, my game freezes then closes on opening loading screen. I have deleted/reinstalled the game, reverted to old graphics drivers. every solution in this forum i have tried. I have attached my Dxdiag below. Also, I am very aware that my PC is an abomination of parts currently, this is just what i have to work with at the moment.BF6 Beta PC Client Not Launching - Silent Crash After Startup
TPM 2.0 check, Safe boot check, drivers check. When pressing start on steam, the small window pops up, then goes away and steam stops running it, I know others are having this issue, but putting it out there to gather more attention for it CM edit: edited title for clarity.
