DualSense Controller Disconnects After "Press Any Key" Screen in F1 25 (Steam)
Hello, I'm experiencing a serious issue with F1 25 on Steam while using a DualSense (PS5) controller. When I launch the game, the controller works fine during the initial splash screen. However, as soon as I press any key to continue past the “Press Any Key” screen, the game displays a message saying DualSense controller disconnected", and the controller stops working entirely. Unplugging and reconnecting the controller doesn't solve the problem. It only starts working again after alt tab the game. But once I reopen the game, the issue happens again — the controller disconnects right after "Press Any Key." So at the moment, I’m completely unable to play F1 25 using my DualSense controller. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Using both wired and Bluetooth modes (same result) Toggling Steam Input support (enabled/disabled) Reinstalling the game Verifying game files Updating controller firmware and Windows drivers Please let me know if this is a known issue or if there is any solution or workaround. I would really like to play F1 25 using my DualSense controller.Anti-Cheat Causing Game to Fail to Launch or Crash
I purchased the game on Steam, and since the day I bought it, I have never been able to launch it properly. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps: Reinstalling the game multiple times Updating my BIOS Verifying game file integrity in Steam (Steam always reports 3 missing files, and no matter how many times I reinstall or verify, the issue remains ) Closing all background applications that could potentially cause conflicts Despite all of this, the game either fails to launch at all, or it crashes within one to two minutes after launching. According to Windows Event Viewer, the crash appears to be related to EA Anti-Cheat. Below is the error information I found: Log Name: Application Source: Application Event ID: 1 Level: Error Error Details: EAAntiCheatService The game f1_25.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x1 This issue happens consistently every time I try to launch the game. I would like to know if this is a known issue with EA Anti-Cheat, and if there are any official fixes or additional troubleshooting steps I can try. At the moment, the game is completely unplayable for me.F1 25 Will not launch (Steam)
Like many many other users, I cannot launch F1 25 on my PC. When I attempt to launch the game in Stream I see the splash screen, which eventually closes. Then nothing happens. This is a fresh Windows 11 install with very few other applications installed. I've tried the following: -Disable antivirus (Windows Defender, no other AV installed) -Manually install EA Javelin software from F1 25 directory -Manually install EA Javelin software from download on EA website -EA Javelin software repair -Reinstall game from Steam -Run file validation in Steam -Install EA App -Run game as administrator -Verified list of incompatible software for EA Javelin (non installed) -Update Nvidia driver -Starting game with no Internet access -Verified local Documents directory was not pointing to OneDrive (registry entry was correct) I cannot attach hardware settings information, since heh game does not launch and will not create the directory. I cannot provide a report code, since the game does not launch. Below is a screen shot of the splash screen. It will progress past this message to "Launching Game" before it fails completely.f1 25 does not start
Hello, I downloaded the F1 25 game from EA Games, but when I try to launch it, I see two options: “F1 25” and “F1 25 VR.” I select “F1 25” and click “Play,” but the window closes, and then EA Games opens—yet the game won’t start. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game once, but it doesn’t show any errors—nothing happens. Please, if anyone knows how to fix this, help me out. I’ve tried everything but can’t figure it out.F1 2025 crashes at launch when Logitech G923 is connected

Hello, Currently reporting being unable to launch F1 2025 on my system. I'm launching the game through Steam. The application displays the following behavior on launch: If the install is fresh or files verified, Javelin Anti-Cheat is installed. The F1 2025 initial loading screen appears, the "starting Javelin Anti-Cheat" bar appears for a few seconds. The menu bar transfers to "launching game", for a few frames, then disappears. The game returns to "Play" on steam, indicating that it crashed. Event logger states the below when checking for any application errors: The game f1_25.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xFFFFFFFF -------------- Exception code: 0xC0000005 Exception address: 0x14381CF54 Faulting module name: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 25\F1_25.exe, base: 0x140000000 Fault offset: 0x381CF54 I'm aware that there are many, many posts about being unable to launch F1 2025 with varying suggested solutions and I've exhausted all options I could find currently. I believe that this post differs from the active one (13089408) as when I verify my files, none are listed as missing. My system specs can be found in the DxDiag.txt file that I've attached. There is a post that I found that had something similar to my issue (same exception code, post ID 12538538), but this post was marked as "Fixed" without a listed solution on it. If it was actually solved, please provide the solution given for this issue. Things I have attempted to resolve the issue: PC Restart (this was used after every step described below to confirm changes.) Verification of game files (This will prompt the application to reinstall Javelin Anti-Cheat, but with the same behavior. No files are listed as missing) Confirmation that my GPU is not overclocked/underclocked/retuned Update of all Graphics Drivers, BIOS, and chipset drivers Update of windows to current build (I saw some suggestions to roll back my windows, but the post was 6 months old and many windows updates have occurred since. If I need to roll back, please specify a version number or which update to remove.) Fresh re-install of the game Deletion of the hardware xml file (this file does not populate as the game does not launch) Checking the game logs (these do not populate where referenced on the forums) Ensure that any conflicting applications are not running (I have ended task on every application on my computer that is non-essential prior to attempting to open F1 2025) Disconnect of all peripheral devices prior to game start (I play using a G920 racing wheel, but have disconnected it prior to launch. I have also tried every case with it connected.) Running as administrator Ensuring that F1 2025 is allowed through my firewall Independent reinstall and attempted repair of Javelin Anti-Cheat Modifying the "hardwaresetting" folder (this does not populate) Please let me know if you need any further information and advise further. I purchased the game on 4/2/2026, and will troubleshoot until 4/14/2026.F1 25 Silent Crash after "Launching Game" - RTX 5070 Laptop (Legion 5 Pro)
Description: The game goes through Javelin Anti-Cheat, shows "Launching Game," and then closes back to EA App without error. Description: The game passes the Javelin Anti-Cheat screen, shows the "Launching Game" message, and then closes back to the EA App without any error code. My FC 25 is working perfectly on Ultra settings, confirming the hardware and drivers are stable. The issue is exclusive to F1 25. System Specs: GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop (Driver 595.97) CPU: Intel Core i9/i7 14th/15th Gen OS: Windows 11 (Latest build) Laptop Model: Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2026) Troubleshooting steps taken (None of these worked): EA Anti-Cheat Management: Reinstalled EA Anti-Cheat using EAanticheat.Installer.exe specifically for F1 25. Repaired the service and set EAAntiCheatService to "Automatic" in Windows Services. Cleared EA App cache (App Recovery). Deleted EAAntiCheat.Sys to force a clean driver regeneration. Windows Security & Permissions: Set both F1_25.exe and EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe to "Run as Administrator." Manually installed Digital Signature certificates into "Trusted Root Certification Authorities." Disabled Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) and Control Flow Guard (CFG) for the game executable. Verified Secure Boot is ENABLED in BIOS. Graphics & System Tweaks: Disabled Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS). Attempted launch arguments: -windowed, -noborder, -dx12, and -novid. Disabled NVIDIA In-Game Overlay and Shader Cache. Cleaned Documents/My Games (though the game fails before even creating the folder). Conflict Resolution: Disabled Nahimic, SteelSeries GG, and Riot Vanguard services. Updated Intel Smart Sound drivers (DPC Latency fix). Disconnected all peripherals (controllers/wheels), launching only with the laptop keyboard. Conclusion: Since other EA titles (FC 25) work flawlessly, this appears to be a kernel-level conflict between the EGO Engine and the new RTX 50 series architecture. Please investigate if a compatibility hotfix is required for these new GPUs.Freezes and crashes on xbox series s just minutes after starting game
I've tried every troubleshooting method under the sun and the game freezes and crashes after just minutes. Other games on my Xbox, even those of similar size to f1 25, work absolutely fine. Support chats have not been able to help. Not even a dodgy game file as I initially bought it off the xbox store, refunded it and tried a key from amazone. Neither workingFailure to launch from the EA Play app
Just downloaded my first game F1 25) and it refuses to launch. I get messages re: checking for updates, anticheat etc., before it says it's launching the game, but it just takes me straight back to the EA Play app. I've tried all of the suggestions I found online (run as admin, repair files, show only 1 display etc.) but the same thing keeps happening. What do I need to do to be able to play the game I paid for? Report ID - 0391a3a6-f610-4dba-9e63-82f573e168af
