FC 26 Career Mode Feedback Thread!
First off, i want to state how appreciative we are of you trying to fix this mode, the last few years it has fallen way behind where it should be, but we're finally starting to get back on track. But here are a few Career Mode related issues including things from previous years I've noticed that STILL haven't been addressed, which really need to be in imminent Title Updates.. • STILL no option for Pitch Colour & Pitch Wear inside the Career Mode Gameplay settings, please add this. • Transfer Fees & Wages need MASSIVELY improving, especially for High Potential stars, i shouldn't be able to buy a Young Talent who has a 90 Potential for £5m! It should be 10x that.. • Players with only 12 months remaining say "they're happy with their current contract", this shouldn't be possible, they should either agree to sign an extension or say they're NOT interested in renewing and want a new challenge at the end of this one, so you have the decision to make whether to sell them ASAP or lose them for free the following Summer. • When transfer listing these players who have 12 months remaining and refuse to sign an extension also say "they're confused and surprised, and it if was up to them they'd want to stay", when you transfer list them.. Even though they've refused a new contract extension as they said they're happy!? • Possible Lineup STILL only shows 7 subs for tournaments that can have 9 subs, even though 9 subs ARE named during gameplay (visual bug) • When using Sim/Quick Sim for pre-season friendlies, we get an e-mail telling us to remember to use all our our allotted subs? But we've simmed.. So it's the CPU who should be using all of them! • We need the option of selecting 12 subs for International & Champions League matches, as this is a real life rule • Bring back the Manager Unveiling cut-scene that you have removed! Why have you removed it!? At least make it an option, "cut-scene or contract signing screen". And may i also suggest, stop removing things people like, instead make them optional? I thought you'd learned this with the removal of the pre-match intros.. • Please add the option of being able to search for a player based off their Strong Foot, that way we can look for left footed CBs for example.. • We STILL have no Short Tape option for Wrists in Create/Edit Real Players? Even though we have a Long option? Once added, Short Tape should be the default for 99% of players as they wear this is real life, instead of players currently wearing Sweatbands instead.. This isn't Tennis? • There is STILL a bug of when a player wears coloured wrist tape then he wears the home kit's colour for the away & 3rd kits too which looks ridiculous and is also illegal! Instead it's strangely defaulted to players ONLY in Cold Weather? • STILL no Cold Weather Gear option for players in Create/Edit Real Players, even though Data Reviewers have access to this option? PLEASE add this into the actual game.. • Add the holes in socks that Bellingham wears into the socks options so we can give Created/Edited Players the same socks option? • Please add the Generic stadiums from FUT into Create Your Club in Career Mode • PLEASE add back the old Low Socks option that you have replaced this year, the new ones are more 3/4 length than Short! Add the old ones back and rename the newer ones "3/4" • Please add the option to turn TIFOs On/Off/Big Games Only.. I don't need to see a big TIFO of Diogo Dalot before my cup match against Barrow.. • Secondary Positions STILL take to long to complete! For example, Luke Shaw is a LB, but in-game hes set as a CB and it says it will take 81 WEEKS to assign as a LB? Even though its named as a secondary position? It shouldn't take time AT ALL.. It should ONLY take time for training in NEW positions! • I was playing as Portugal and had 2 friendlies against Qatar within 4 days? You shouldn't be playing the SAME team in the same week.. • The Clean Sheets tab doesn't show GKs with Clean Sheets, but shows outfield players instead. • Unexpected Events - Great idea and i love them, but maybe add an option to specifically choose the frequency of EACH one just like you can for them in the first place? For example, id want an option to turn the option of a player randomly retiring OFF, but turn the chance of seeing a player getting injured in training to HIGH... • Press Conferences are STILL a mess and make absolute zero sense. Why would i humble a player who had a good game!? This would massively lower his moral in real life.. (Consider removing them until you can address them) • STILL no Player Interviews in Player Career like we had in The Journey? • STILL can't request a Transfer or Loan n Player Career? These are basic feature requests.. • When you search for a player their Potential is shown but once you shortlist them you can no longer see it, so you have to search for them again to see it? Which is counter-intuitive as you have already shortlisted them, so should be able to view it there too.. • When viewing your players in Squad Hub the competition name isnt viewable due too being too long to fit into the scrolling bar, thus the bar needs enlarging to fit the whole competition name on view to be able to see it • When viewing the CPU's squad, you can see after only 10-12 games they have played all 3 GKs the same amount of games? GK's don't rotate this much in real life, only when injured or for lesser cup competitions, please make it so the number one GK is played more often for CPU teams.. • Please add the Generic stadiums from FUT into Create Your Club in Career Mode • Please add Tattoos you can apply for the Right Arm, also for the Left Arm, so we can actually create matching Sleeve Tattoos! Why would there be different options for Left/Arm & Right Arm!? • Please add ALL the new hairstyle options that players with Cranium faces have into Create a Player! (I've seen MANY that aren't selectable!?) • Please REMOVE the bright screen flash that occurs during menu transitions! • Please show the Stadium Preview image when selecting your team in Career Mode just like you can see when selecting a Stadium in Kick Off. • I can't see the text during Player Negotiations due to the colours • We need the option to start a New Job at the End of the Season! (So you can finish the current season with your current team, the team you accept a job offer from will place a caretaker manager in charge until you take over) • Loans - Players in real life can't play against parent clubs. They should be unavailable and we should get an e-mail before the game to tell us so we have to make adjustments to our squad just like we do for Injuries/Suspensions.. Same for Loaned out players playing against us too! • Around The Grounds needs to pause on the screen so you can actually view and take a look at other scores/results, currently it flashes up for a few seconds and automatically moves to the next screen too fast so you can't actually look at them, also a Skip button prompt needs adding so you have the choice to view them or not! Stop Forcing Women’s Football into Career Mode
I do not support the inclusion of women’s football in Career Mode — especially not in the men’s youth academy. This feature ruins the authenticity and realism of the game and completely kills the immersion for players like me. We bought this game to enjoy a realistic football management experience, not to be part of a forced diversity agenda. You’re pushing features that your core community never asked for, and worse, you’re not even giving us the option to turn them off. That’s disrespectful to your loyal players. This isn’t about hate. It’s about choice. If you want to include women’s football, fine — make it separate and optional. Forcing it into the core gameplay of men’s career mode is unacceptable. Dear EA Sports Team, I’m a PlayStation 5 user and a longtime fan of the FIFA series—I've played every game from FIFA 18 to FC 25. But to be honest, the spirit of FIFA feels like it's fading. Ultimate Team has become a game mode purely focused on opening packs and spending money. It’s the same game every year with just new cards, and for real football lovers like myself, it gets boring. What we really want is clear: an Online Career Mode. I’m talking about: - Players choosing a team and managing it in real-time - Competing in a league with other real online users - No more AI matches—only head-to-head against real people - Stadium upgrades based on club success and earnings - The ability to build training grounds, medical centers, and other facilities - Fanbase growing with your club’s performance - Optional cosmetics like custom kits, club logos, and manager outfits that could be monetized This kind of mode would take FIFA to the next level. Personally, I would jump straight in with Newcastle United, start from the bottom, and fight my way to Premier League and Champions League glory. That’s the kind of meaningful, competitive, and rewarding football experience we're missing. If you still want to make money, no problem—include cosmetic packs, custom visuals, etc. But continuing to release the same game year after year focused only on Ultimate Team is not what your loyal players deserve. We’re not just chasing goals—we’re chasing legacy, passion, and real football strategy. And only you can bring that to life.

Subject: Concern Regarding Potential Discrimination in EAFC 24 Player Awards Dear EA Sports Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a recurring issue I’ve experienced in EAFC 24 Career Mode, which I believe may reflect bias or discrimination based on nationality or ethnicity. I have consistently maintained the highest player rating and performance statistics over eight consecutive in-game seasons. Despite this, my created player — registered as South African — has never won the Ballon d'Or, even while breaking records and leading in all key performance areas. I accepted this lack of recognition for a while, assuming it was perhaps random or statistical. However, after winning back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles — an achievement that in every previous season triggered a Ballon d'Or award for other players — the award was not given to anyone at all. This is extremely disappointing and raises questions about whether the game algorithm treats players differently based on the nationality or origin chosen during character creation. This experience has led me to question: Is this a bug, or is there an inherent bias in the system? Would the same outcome occur had I registered my player as European or from a more widely represented region? As a dedicated supporter of EA Sports and a proud African gamer, I believe that fair representation matters, especially in a game enjoyed by people from every corner of the world. Dear EA Team. I've been playing your game for 10 years and am a huge Career Mode fan. I'd like to ask how long it will take to add an official stadium to the game, because I would really like to see FC Basel's stadium included. I know it's not that easy and it will probably take a while, but it would be a cool addition to the game. I would help you in any way I can if I could, or if you even need it.It's not just any stadium, it's the one of the biggest club in Switzerland and they deserve to have their stadium in your game in my opinion because you have the best football game and with the St. Jakob-Park it will be even better. Suggestion for EA Sports FC – “Career Through Time” Mode Hello EA Team, My name is Marcus Petersen, and I’ve been a dedicated FIFA player since FIFA 15, with over 7000 hours played. I want to share an idea for the career mode that I believe many fans would love and that would be quite straightforward to implement. The idea: Allow players to start their career mode in previous seasons (for example, 2009/10, 2014/15, 2018/19, etc.) and then play forward through time. Each year, young talents that actually appeared in real life during that season would be added to their authentic clubs (for example, Mbappé at Monaco, Bellingham at Birmingham, Yamal at Barcelona). Player ratings would be based on the year you start your career, and development would progress dynamically based on in-game performance, just like the current career mode. Why it’s simple and smart: EA already has all the data from previous FIFA titles, including players, squads, ratings, and kits from those years. All that’s needed is an option to select a starting season, which loads the correct squads and ratings from that year. New talents can be dynamically added in the season they belong to, rather than generating random AI players. Player development can continue as normal, based on playtime and form, without needing to rework ratings every season. Updating kits and jerseys every year would be nice, but it’s not required for the feature to work. What this achieves: A more authentic and living career mode where players don’t just disappear after a few seasons, and where you can follow the real career progression of talents. The chance to experience and play through football history — for example, starting in 2009 and witnessing Ronaldo, Messi, Benzema, Mbappé, and Yamal develop as time passes. A game mode that appeals both to hardcore and casual fans by combining realism with familiar gameplay. I hope you will consider adding this feature in future editions, such as EA FC 26. Many fans share similar wishes, and I believe this could be a major success since it’s a simple, practical idea that would make career mode feel much more alive. Hello EA, Since FIFA 20, I've been creating players to make custom teams to create tournaments with multiple countries, including Algeria, Senegal, Madagascar, etc. But now, with the rule that only a maximum of 50 players can be created, I can't complete my teams. EA, please, can you remove this limit?
