NFS Hot pursuit remastered | Handbrakes don't work on the same turns every time.
Greetings, Problem: I am playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit on Windows, and having trouble using the handbrake on particular turns. I am using the default key binding for the handbrake—the Space bar—and I use it the same way every time. I use the arrow keys to steer left/right and to accelarate simultaneously with the handbrake. Sometimes the handbrake works perfectly, but NOT others times. The issue is not car-specific as I have used multiple cars and the issue happens with all cars. But one thing is constant--the issue happens at the same turns every time regardless of the car I am using or the race I am in. I find it hard to imagine that it is related to game physics since I played this same game several years ago and never faced this issue. I feel frustrated right now because not being able to use handbrake on particular turns is causing me to crash repeatedly. My game experience has been obliterated by this problem. Troubleshooting tried: I have tried restarting and repairing the game through the EA app. And I have tried changing the key bindings, but the problem persists. I am happy to provide additional information as needed.SolvedNeed For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered Not Launching
I have this game in EA App. I tried all possible solutions. Not working. Update Graphics Drivers, Verify Game Files, Run as Administrator, Disable ALL Overlay Programs, Check for Background Programs, Adjust Compatibility Settings, Check DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributables, Reinstall the Game, Check Event Viewer, Install launch options on dx11. All not working. CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2678 v3 GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 RAM: 32GB DDR3 Install on drive E:The Future of NFS — Bring Back True Street Racing with Realistic Physics
EA Games has completely buried the Need for Speed series by breaking the core driving physics and turning the visual style into something cartoonish and disconnected from real street racing. What was once a serious and immersive street racing game has devolved into a shallow arcade with unrealistic car behavior. Instead of constantly reinventing the wheel, EA should return to the proven concepts that players love: – the night racing atmosphere from NFS Underground, – the intense police chases from Most Wanted, – and the official race events from ProStreet — all combined into one game with realistic, predictable car physics and modern visuals. The core problem is that the current physics feel broken and unconvincing — cars don’t behave like real vehicles, but more like toy models. For example, performing a 360° spin at full speed using the handbrake is completely impossible — instead of smoothly rotating, the car freezes in place. This is just one example of how the physics fail to deliver a believable driving experience. Players want a physics system that feels real, responsive, and predictable — where cars react logically and skilled driving is rewarded. This is the real formula for success and strong sales. Everything needed is already there — no need to chase trends or add shallow gimmicks. Bring back the classic gameplay mechanics and concepts that made NFS great, enhancing them with modern graphics and proper, realistic driving physics.I strongly request EA to bring MW2012 to the next generation platform
I strongly request the ea official to pay attention to MW2012, it is definitely an underestimated generation I strongly request that MW 2012 remaster can be ported to modern platforms such as PS4/PS5, and also ported to XBOX SERIES X/S, XBOX One, or let XBOX SERIES X/S, XBOX One get backward compatibility to run XBOX360 version of MW 2012. Although MW2012 is a game from 13 years ago, its picture quality is still incredibly real. Even now, its picture quality can still give players a sense of surprise. Its picture quality still amazes players. For the next generation of needforspeed, my suggestion is that the Ul interface should learn from MW2012, and the police and criminal wanted heat system should also learn from MW2012. The graphics quality of MW2012 is still great now, and it looks very close to reality, although MW2012 is a game from 13 years ago. It is best not to use the Frostbite engine for needforspeed anymore, and switch to Unreal or Chameleon engine, EAGL is also suitable.SolvedThoughts on Need for Speed games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 system?
I believe an NFS game would be fantastic to have on Switch 2. The only game available on modern Nintendo platforms is Hot Pursuit Remastered, but unfortunately it hasn’t been updated for the Switch 2’s more powerful hardware. Seeing a performance patch for Switch 2 would give me a reason to pick the game up again.Need for Speed Rivals & Most Wanted Remastered Stopped Launching for me
it would load up a black screen, and then just close. Takes me back to the EA app or Steam. The only difference I changed is a new monitor. Already tried reinstalling. Updated drivers, cleaned cache. Windows 11 RTX 5090 AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 64 gbs RamForgotten N4S
I’ve been playing Need for Speed since Porsche Unleashed when I was around 8 years old. I’m deeply frustrated with the NFS community’s bias. Every Need for Speed game I’ve played offers a distinct and unique playstyle, atmosphere, and theme. My disappointment stems from how blindly the community clings to Most Wanted—an amazing game, no doubt—but they demand every subsequent title to replicate it exactly. This unrealistic expectation leads to unfair negativity toward newer entries, which are constantly compared to their idealized version of Most Wanted. As a result, many later games in the franchise aren’t given a fair chance to shine on their own merits. To be fair, I’ve played nearly every racing game out there, and I appreciate them for their unique styles. The reason I’m writing this is because I fear we’ll never see sequels like ProStreet 2 or The Run 2, a Carbon remaster, or even a modern remaster/sequel for Shift. These titles deserve recognition, but the community’s narrow focus on nostalgia overshadows their potential. It’s disheartening to see such a creative franchise limited by fans’ unwillingness to embrace change.[31/03/25] NFS: Hot Pursuit and NFS: Most Wanted Maintenance
