Can't load into household
I know that everyone's been dealing with this issue. I have tried looking through my mods. I have tried repairing the game. I open it through the EA launcher only. I don't want to lose my previous game progress. I don't know what to do. Apparently Midnitetech career mods still work. I have a headache from trying to fix this basically all day. Please just help me load my game. I have the Better Exceptions mod, I downloaded it just for the this. I don't know how to use it without loading into a household. Please, man.
Several Fireplaces Project Light from Fire Backwards
Expansion Pack: Horse Ranch Mods/CC Used: None Description: The "Sturdy Ranch Fireplace" from the Horse Ranch expansion pack has an issue with its lighting. The light source appears to be reversed — it emits light in the wrong direction, as if the fire is facing backwards. Because of this, when the fireplace is placed against a wall (as it's clearly intended to be), it emits no visible light into the room. Instead, the light seems to go behind the wall, which makes indoor lighting look incorrect and unrealistic. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Place the "Sturdy Ranch Fireplace" against any wall in Build/Buy mode. 2. Enter Live Mode or toggle lighting to night mode. 3. Observe that the light is not being emitted into the room as expected. Expected Result: The fireplace should light up the room in front of it, not behind the wall. Actual Result: No light is cast into the room, making the fireplace visually incorrect. Additional Notes: I'm not using any mods or custom content. I've also attached a picture showing the issue. [DU] Roomates are placing food on top of toilets in the Dorms

[HSY] Teen Sim Fails to Become Valedictorian Despite Meeting Requirements
Okay, bridging first.. I discovered that a Teen Sim must have a Grade A in high school, a maxed performance bar, ace the exam, and age up within a week (by Saturday) to become Valedictorian. I successfully applied this to three Sims in my main save file (it's not vanilla, mods/CC installed). These three Sims always gave Valedictorian speeches at graduation. The somehow, I recently encountered a bug with two of my teen Sims: • Case 1: Sim "X" became Valedictorian upon aging up, but at the graduation ceremony, another Sim had the "Valedictorian" tag, and my Sim didn’t give the speech. This persists in the same patch as a previous success. I don't have pict for this case, cuz I just "okay let it go, he still got a Valedictorian trait tho" • Case 2: Sim "Y" met all requirements (Grade A, maxed performance, "aced it" moodlet), aging up the same day with the buff active, but received a pop-up stating she graduated with honors instead. This disappointed me so much :( cuz she is the last teen Sim, so I played with her until she maxed out the age bar. Pict attached below Steps to Reproduce: Ensure Teen Sim has Grade A, maxed performance bar, and "aced it" moodlet -> Age up Sim within a week of the exam (by Saturday) -> Observe the pop-up window -> attend the graduation, check every Sim tag, wait until valedictorian speech sessions. Expected Result: Sim becomes Valedictorian and gives a speech at graduation. Actual Result: • Case 1: Another Sim takes Valedictorian tag/speech. • Case 2: Sim graduates with honors despite meeting criteria. Platform: PC Game Version: 1.116.240.1020 DX11 Mods/CC: Yes, this is my main save file. I can give you my save, but some Sim will lose their CAS CC (Hair & make-up). Aditional Notes: This issue is confusing as conditions (patch, mods/CC) remain unchanged from successful cases, so I think using Mods/CC not much impacted the bug. Any insight or fix would be appreciated Thank you!
No Promotions. Getting Raises instead
Sim joined painter career, promoted as normal until level 6 where we have to choose a career path. After this, no more promotions, just earning a raise. I tried with multiple careers and it still occurs. Every time my sim finishes work and starts daily task, the performance bar rests from excellent to average. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title
[CD] [HR] Disappearances of Pets and Horses in Premade Households
When starting a new game with update 1.117.227.1030 (PC) and visiting the worlds of Chestnut Ridge and Brindleton Bay, all households with pets or horses will lose their animals — only Sims will remain. Mayor Whiskers and Captain Whitaker will also disappear. On the Manage Households screen, images of the missing animals will remain for a while. However, if you go to Chestnut Ridge or Brindleton Bay and hover over their house, the animals will disappear. However, if you load a family with animals from the gallery, save the game, and then reload it, the animals will remain in the household. I tested this with the Life is Golden family their dog Lulu remained in place. Beforehand, I deleted the Sims 4 folder from Documents, repaired the game through the EA app, and started a new game.
Sims standing around instead of taking care of infant
Whenever I play with infants, I end up having a very unpleasant experience because they're so problematic. When I ask my Sims to perform an action with infants, they not only stand there for hours, but they also repeatedly take the infants out of their cribs and put them on the floor. This bug is quite old and has never been fixed, and I've noticed that several players are experiencing the same issue!
