FC 26 : RELIVE HISTORY MODE suggestion
Dear EA Sports Team, As a long-time FIFA and now FC player, I’ve always wished I could do more than just watch historic football moments—I’ve wanted to play them. That is what inspired this idea. I propose a new mode for EA Sports FC: “Relive History.” This mode allows players to step into authentic historic matches with era-accurate squads, ratings, kits, tactics, stadiums and atmosphere, with options to replay from kickoff or start from the real scoreline to “rewrite” history. For example u might want to play the classic 2006 world Cup final between France and Italy, with the same players and same stats as that year only, a totally new experience because u r actually playing that match instead of watching the highlights, how fun that sounds, right?! The mode is organized into ten major collections: World Cup Classics, UCL Classics, El Clásico Era, National Rivalries, Player Duels, The Global Derby Vault, Golden Generation Era, Miracle Matches, Rising Legends and Underrated Classics. Using existing assets—Icons/Heroes, classic kits, retro stadiums and dynamic commentary—you can deliver a globally appealing, nostalgic experience with strong long-term engagement potential. I request EA to read my suggestion on the new gameplay mode and request them to show interest on this.12Views1like1CommentWhat's Happening in your Career Mode?
Been some time since I've checked in here and it's great to see some Career Mode Stories going again. Miss being apart of the community, unfortunately I don't have the time to keep up with writing about my careers just crack on and play them when I have a chance to actually play. I will certainly be catching up on the stories posted soon. Anyways, I created this thread for anyone who wishes to share what's going on in their Career Modes without going in depth just wanna keep it brief etc. Currently I'm doing a Career with Blackpool and it's been bonkers so far. Took over live start in a relegation battle and after a slow start had a ridiculous winning streak and ended up winning The League One Playoffs. 2nd season started off strong in Championship but form slipped however somehow made a late surge into the playoffs and back to back promotions via Wembley it was. Small budget in Prem was never expecting much and been in a relegation battle all season Currently 18th with 6 games to go and 3 points behind. Maybe back to The Championship, however after fluking our way through The Carabao Cup winning Penalty shoot outs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds against lower league opponents we surprised Man City over 2 legs in the semi finals to set up final against Arsenal. An early go from Blackpool and some lucky defending and we win. Crazy season, could be relegation, but we have European football next season 🤷♂️🤦🤣 Anyways, what's everyone else up to? Also looking forward to reading through those CMS Threads, last time I came no one was around so am happy to see some of you still going.63Views1like5CommentsEA SPORTS FC : "RELIVE HISTORY MODE" suggestion
As a long-time FIFA and now FC player, I’ve always loved reliving great football moments on screen, but I’ve realized I can only ever watch history, not actually play it. That gap is what inspired this idea. I propose a new mode for EA Sports FC: “Relive History.” In this mode, players step into authentic historic matches with era-correct squads, ratings, kits, tactics, stadiums and atmosphere, with options to replay from kickoff or start from the real scoreline and time to “rewrite” history. The experience is organized into ten curated collections: World Cup Classics, UCL Classics, El Clásico Era, National Rivalries, Player Duels (Messi vs Ronaldo era), The Global Derby Vault (including Manchester, Milan, Istanbul, Superclásico, Al Hilal vs Al Nassr, etc.), Golden Generation Era, Miracle Matches, Rising Legends and Underrated Classics. Using existing foundations—Icons/Heroes, retro kits, classic stadiums, dynamic commentary and databases—you could deliver a deeply nostalgic, globally inclusive mode that appeals to both casual fans and hardcore historians, and is expandable via seasonal or paid “historic match packs.” I genuinely believe “Relive History” could become a defining feature of the FC series and a strong long-term engagement driver.16Views0likes0CommentsPlayer Career Mode Is Unplayable Because of Horrible AI Teammate Behavior
TL;DR: When controlling a single player AI teammates constantly turn over possession making irrational passes panicking in possession, and they take senseless shots, while CPU opponents play like a coordinated team. This creates a massive imbalance and ruins immersion. This has been happening for years and I am fed up. It’s a more glaring problem now. The biggest issue is the AI teammates when you’re controlling a single player. They play like they are being controlled by a toddler who has no idea what they are doing. There is no logic, no structure, and no awareness. Before I proceed I’m not sure, but for context I play LW (left wing) as this issue might differ slightly depending on the position you play on the pitch. My teammates, especially the midfielders will make a run toward the touchline with the ball and then make weird desperate diagonal passes straight to the opposition. They play like they are in a panic all the time. In general in almost every situation they make desperate do or die passes when there are better and simpler obvious options right in front of them. When they receive the ball in midfield they immediately start drifting toward the touchline for no logical reason, almost like they’re programmed to run sideways instead of driving the play forward or driving the play in a logical manner. And then, out of nowhere, they’ll launch this awkward, desperate diagonal pass sometimes while off balance or even while falling straight into the feet of the opposition. It’s just horrible decision making. Not only for that scenario, but like I said in general when they get the ball, they treat it like hot potato, making hasty, rushed passes with zero composure. It’s so weird that it actually becomes comical to watch. Sometimes they just make blind passes like who are you passing to? And besides these hasty nonsensical passes like they’re panicking for no reason, what makes it worse is they are obsessed with forcing the ball to me at all costs (losing the ball in the process), even when there are better passing options all around. Like, can we actually play as a team? There are other players on the pitch too. It shouldn’t feel like I’m the only target in every buildup. Furthermore strikers will consistently take horrible shots with their back turned to goal. They take desperate and ridiculous shots from awkward angles where there is no chance of scoring. They get the ball with their back to goal, space is tight, and instead of recycling possession they force an off balance shot that was never going to work. It is weird. It is strange. It makes no sense. And they do the same with passing too. Instead of finding an easy pass back they force something dumb. They get the ball anywhere in or near the box even with their back to goal, surrounded by defenders and instead of making a smart pass or holding play, they just blast a random shot. It’s like they don’t process what’s happening around them. Meanwhile, the CPU opponents play like they’ve got an actual playbook. They build out intelligently, press well, and move as a unit. They play intelligently, press with purpose, and control the rhythm of the game like a real team. It creates a massive imbalance where I’m forced to run around doing everything myself because my teammates are functionally useless. I have to overcompensate, running all over the pitch to drag my team forward because my teammates simply do not play at the same level. I play left wing but I am forced to abandon my position, drop deep, and carry the ball, force passes myself just to progress the attack. It should not be my job to play creator, controller, and finisher all at once because my teammates are useless in possession. This is not one or two bad matches. It is every match. And the fact that this has been going on for years and is now somehow even worse is frustrating. It is actually hard to believe that anyone genuinely play tested this game mode before release. It is ridiculous. It is absurd. Please fix this. Career Mode is supposed to feel immersive and rewarding. Instead, it feels like dragging a team of clueless NPCs through “90 minutes” of chaos. Please fix all this. Smarter AI teammate logic, better AI teammate decision making would completely change the mode.427Views2likes3CommentsAuthentic mode - Inaccurate Volleys
The default authentic mode has a MAJOR impact on volleys. I know the shot error is higher which makes for a more authentic experience, but the affect on volleys is insane. My players often don't hit the target (even on a half volley) and have sometimes even shot from inside the box and ended up kicking it 90degrees up to go out for a THROW IN (lol!). I have tried both assisted and semi shooting, same result.9Views0likes0CommentsSuggestion Title: “ About Classic Leagues and Classic Teams and more in EA FC 26
Hello EA Sports team and dear FC community, 🙂 The EA FC series continues to evolve each year, setting new standards for football gaming. However, there is one feature that could elevate this amazing experience even further — a feature that carries both nostalgic value and tremendous gameplay depth. On behalf of players all around the world, I would like to present the following request: Adding Classic Leagues and Classic Teams and more to EA FC 26 Why Classic Leagues and Classic Teams? Football is not just about the present. It is a global culture built by legendary eras, unforgettable teams, and iconic leagues that live on in the memories of millions. Bringing these historical periods into the game would offer a powerful experience for nostalgic fans while also introducing younger players to the roots of football greatness. How Would This Feature Improve the Game? Unique Gameplay Variety Iconic squads from the 90s and 2000s would add incredible depth and diversity. The tactics, kits, team identities, and playstyles of past eras would enrich the overall experience. Enhances All Game Modes Kick-Off, Tournament, Career Mode, and even Ultimate Team could benefit from exclusive classic content. Special themes like “Classic Seasons,” “Retro Tournaments,” “Legends League,” and more could keep players deeply engaged. Strong Community Demand For years, one of the most requested features among the player base has been the return of classic teams. Introducing them would significantly boost player satisfaction and community loyalty. A Worldwide Demand This suggestion is not just mine—it's one of the most consistent and widely supported requests across social media, forums, and community discussions. Bringing classic content to EA FC 26 would create a perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation, appealing to both old-school fans and the new generation of players. Adding classic leagues (e.g., 90s Premier League, 90’s and 2000s Serie A, early 2000s La Liga, etc.) Restoring legendary club rosters (such as 1996 and 2003’s Juventus, 2005 AC Milan, 2008 Barcelona, 1999 Manchester United, 2002 Galatasaray, 1998 Real Madrid and more) Implementing era-specific kits, ball designs, stadium atmospheres, and tactical styles to accurately reflect each period Conclusion The EA FC series has inspired millions of players across generations. Incorporating classic leagues and teams would further strengthen this legacy, delivering a richer and more complete football experience for both long-time fans and newcomers. We truly hope the EA Sports team will consider this request on behalf of the global community. Finally If these classic squads and teams are brought into the game, the current pool of ICON players will no longer be sufficient to create complete and authentic rosters. For example, to accurately represent a classic Juventus team, players such as Edgar Davids, Alessio Tacchinardi, David Trezeguet, and many more must be added. This is essential for delivering a fully immersive and accurate experience. We kindly request that this point be given special consideration. We ask for retro boots to be included and assigned to classic players. Iconic models like the Adidas Predator Precision and Predator Mania should be visible on the feet of legends such as Del Piero, Zidane, and Beckham. This would greatly enhance authenticity and nostalgia for players around the world. Thank you! 😉18Views0likes0CommentsFc 26 Player Career Mode problems/solutions
I’m creating this thread as I do not see a future where this game mode is fixed (Player career mode) not manager career mode. I’m fairly sure this mode is hardly tested or at all before release each year. The problems remain the same and this year seem to have gotten worse. To those making creative decisions these are my suggestions, should you ever be inclined to actually make changes. Most importantly, stop forcing us players into not being able to be creative with our play-styles. The whole personality system is absolute garbage, why do I need to be a heartbeat as an attacker to have technical dribbler? Why do I then need to be a virtuoso to have quick first step? Why stop us from having both, why can I not create the character I want to play as? You know, the point of the **bleep** mode. Get rid of the personality system as a whole just have us unlock new play-styles based on level the same way it is in clubs it’s not more immersive it’s just handcuffing us from being the type of player we want to be. This isn’t even touching how this year you’ve removed play style points from training, making attaining 65% in a play style type next to impossible (It is impossible if you play long games like I do). This system has to be removed in FC 27 it’s infuriating. On the point of play-styles stop blocking certain playstyles based on positions, I should be able to have finesse shot as a midfielder or anything for that matter it’s a fantasy player. Archetypes are fine, think they shouldn’t be positions based again as a CAM or LM should be able to have a Ronaldinho archetype after all he played those positions but whatever I’m more concerned with play styles but if you wanna be perfect, then don’t handcuff those to positions either. This year you removed xp from training, no idea why. It’s now far too slow to level up. After playing my first season (No sim) I’m a level 82, but broke multiple records won ballon do’r the following December yet I’m an 82. This looks dumb and ruins immersion, last year was a perfect xp system I don’t know why it was changed. Finally, stop all the major transfers. It’s ridiculous. After one transfer window there’s 4 of the top 30 players in the world going to bizarre clubs (Foden to Newcastle, Raphinha to City) and these both happened before my first season even started. This breaks all immersion as it’s way too many transfers of top players way too often. I’m aware this is wishful thinking but I’m posting this as no one seems to test this mode and it seems the player base leave no feedback so here it is, do what you will with it.254Views2likes2CommentsBring back The Journey since you quietly got rid of Volta/3v3,Manager/Player etc
A new game...same price if not more - Less features. Back since 2006 I have been asking EA, letters, emails and even phone calls to one of their head offices to bring Co-op Manager mode to the game, not only is their a big gap in the market for such a feature, there are also a lot of gamers whom still play CM 01/02 with updated DB's to be able to play seasons with their friends and manage transfers. Around 2012, I realised that EA does not listen to their fans, customers - you know the people that actually provide your income, so I gave up. Each year the same game gets released with new (broken/refreshed) features with a few cosmetic changes here and there but still the same churned game. Now we have EA FC26....Looks great but in 2026 we are still having manager or player interviews miming from multiple choice options. We still have generic manager designs back from FIFA 15 and glitches with Kick Off Data not linking, replay cameras now just showing the centre circle and more (Which I have posted in Bugs). Just when they finally fix issues, like in EAFC 25, its around this time the new game comes out and you a basically paying for an updated Database and a few tweaks for £70+. Yesterday I only just noticed that EA have quietly removed Volta and 3v3 for more shrinkflation. Same game, same price if not more, less features. What I don't understand, with the game engine that EA use for this series, why is their not more cinematics? More tense moments? In the end, you are playing on a pitch back and forth without much drama for the beautiful game. I also gave the idea to have a studio half time analysis talk with our favourite pundits, doesn't have to be great yet, but better than just a menu to restart the match. Again, why don't they bring back The Journey, you could make it semi-open world, travelling from home, to training pitches, stadium or events - It had so much potential, it was predictable but curveballs could be added. Add scandals, or decisions that would impact your career as a player. Currently the game is, menu, first half, menu, second half, menu, repeat. Really thought things would be different once the game changed from FIFA to EA FC, but it's exactly the same. Just like a very well known shooter game out there, if there is no competition, why should they care?
