The Pit Challenge Tier & Relic 8 [MEGA]
DEV POST "CG_SBCrumb;d-238872" wrote: Hi Holotable Heroes, Today we are launching a new piece of content for high level guilds who have mastered the other raids, The Pit Challenge Tier! The Pit: Challenge Tier The Challenge Tier for The Pit raid requires a high level Guild to work closely together in order to complete. While the rewards will help you power up your squads even further, the event is intended to challenge a guild as whole. As a result, it will be very difficult for a player or even a handful of guildmates to complete. Similar to Heroic Raids, Guilds will have 48 hours to complete this event. Since the Challenge Tier is designed to require cooperation, we have opted for a flatter prizing structure to reduce some of the friction in-guild while still acknowledging degrees of participation and success. In short, every player who participates will earn the new Level 8 Relic Amplifier material, Aeromagnifiers. The event is available to all Guilds right away but only Relic 5 characters and up are allowed to participate. The Challenge tier uses a new type of ticket and is a completely separate event in the Guilds tab. Which means Guilds will be able to participate in the Challenge Tier while simming the regular The Pit like before. Launch Cost: 180,000 Tickets Note: Ticket cap for The Pit (Challenge) tickets is 210,000 Tickets. Guilds will receive an initial credit of 210,000 tickets when their Guild Leader logs in for the first time. Below, we’ve highlighted in blue all the mechanical changes compared to the original raid. CHANGES IN BLUE Phase I Changes Phase II Changes Phase III Changes Phase IV Changes Relic 8 The Challenge Tier of The Pit provides a variety of top tier rewards but it also rewards an exclusive item needed for the next level of Relic Amplifiers. Level 8 Relic Amplifiers require 20 each of two new Relic materials. The first material, Impulse Detectors, is created from salvage; the other material, Aeromagnifiers, are unique to the Challenge Rancor Raid. We wanted Relic 8 to initially have a raid-exclusive aspect in order to give Guilds some new goals to work toward and at the same time, reinforce the core gameplay for Guilds in Galaxy of Heroes. Here’s how many Aeromagnifiers you can earn (in addition to other rewards) from completing the Challenge Tier. Note: There is a visual bug that only shows Reward Ranks 1, 2, 6-10, 11-25, 26-40, 41-50. Ranks 3-5 have the same rewards as Rank 2. This event will be live later today. Stay tuned for the Update Notes and see you on the Holotables! DEV POST99KViews1like2414CommentsSith Triumvirate Raid Feedback Thread

Guess the developers were not kidding when they said this would be the most difficult content till date (and I think for a long time to come). My Padme zzG12, JKA R5, GK R3, zAT R3 and zC3PO G11 did not have a chance in round 1 of phase 1 special mission. Same for my standard all G12 JKR team in Jedi mission. May God have mercy on our souls. "EA_Jesse;70780" wrote: Greetings, Next week we will be increasing the level cap to 85. Our last level cap increase was on March 31st, 2016, and a number of players have been at level 80 since April. This will have given players 6 months to have reached the cap of level 80, geared up their characters, and expanded their roster. With this level cap increase, characters will be able to reach new abilities and gear tiers. But wait, where does one obtain these new gear pieces? Well I’m glad you asked! Players will be able to obtain brand-new gear from the Tank Takedown Raid! The plan is to release the new Raid later in October shortly after the level cap increase. But wait a second, wasn’t the Tank Takedown Raid announced back in July? Why did it take so long to release it? The Raid was delayed to continue QA testing, polish the art, and much more. The biggest reason however is to allow Guilds to launch both The Pit and the Tank Takedown Raid simultaneously. Now, Guilds will earn two types of currency when completing their activities each day, one for each Raid. Previously, it wasn’t possible to launch both at the same time with the tools we had in place. Guilds would have had to choose between the two Raids, and the development team felt this would have caused some divide between their members. So now, no need to choose one or the other! You can launch both at the same time, they are completely separate with attempts and character refreshes. So the new gear is great, but is there a new character to obtain in the new Raid? There is indeed a new character for players to obtain, a fan favorite that is obtainable only by defeating the heroic difficulty of the Tank Takedown Raid. Is there anything else we should know about the level cap increase or the new Raid? Guilds will have both types of the new currency MAXED when the new Raid goes live. We will announce the exact date of the Raid as we get a little closer, but Guilds will definitely want to spend as much of their currency as they can instead of holding onto it. Players will be able to earn rewards from The Pit and Take Takedown Raid individually. Characters used in one Raid will not limit them from being used in the other. https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/70780/tank-takedown-raid-and-level-cap-increase-to-85/p1?new=161KViews1like495CommentsChanges to Asajj/Acolyte Strategy in STR MEGA THREAD
Hi Holotable Heroes, We are aware of a strategy with Asajj and Nightsister Acolyte that allows players to take an infinite number of turns in the Sith Triumvirate Raid. We consider this an unintended strategy that undermines the spirit of the raid, as it requires little input from the player and deals significantly more damage than other teams in STR. There will be a larger announcement later today with more details about a change to prevent the above behavior, but we wanted inform everyone right away that we will be addressing this issue as soon as possible. I'm totally fine and expected them to nerf this. But that wording worries me. No mention of Trayas isolate, which is what really causes this loop. If they use this as a way to nerf Nightsisters in p4 we all are gonna flip beyond flip. #GettingPreparedToGoAnakinOnTheseTuskens49KViews1like927CommentsG12 and Heroic Raid Reward Changes [MEGA]
DEV POST "CG_SBCrumb;d-173286" wrote: Hello Holotable Heroes, With this week’s update, we will be introducing the next two slots of Gear XII (informally “G12+” for the purposes of this post), as exclusive rewards for completing the Heroic Sith Raid. With this will come some changes to the rewards for the Heroic Sith Raid. These changes ONLY impact the Heroic Tier. Because of the sensitivity of the Heroic Tier and the nature of the rollout of our initial changes to the raid rewards, we’re going to be especially descriptive around the changes we’re making, and why we’re making them. These are also not the final changes to the rewards and gameplay. We are looking into other small changes to accomplish other goals of ours, as well as some concerns expressed by players, however these are the only changes we are making in the near future. CONTEXT: When we released the Heroic Tier Sith Raid, we included a “bonus” chance to receive a fully crafted G12 piece, as a placeholder for our eventual release of G12+ as an exclusive reward. This chance was implemented incorrectly, and gave out complete G12 pieces to all Ranks the majority of the time. (Top 3 performers are actually likely to receive 2 full pieces.) This gear inflow was far beyond our original intent, and without changes would have driven a gap between the top 0.1% of players and the rest of the game that would have been impossible to close. It would have caused us to be unable to keep rewards and incentives balanced across gear levels in the long run. However, between the difficulty of the Raid, the changes to on-damage effects in Phases 3 & 4, the changes to the Expose mechanic, we decided to leave the rewards in as implemented until G12+ was ready, out of respect for the massive investment players made into their Sith Raid teams at launch. Our first pass at changing raid rewards was not well-received, further confirming that changes could only be made when we were ready to introduce a new, exclusive reward. THE CHANGES: Our primary goals for these changes are as follows: To reward guilds who have focused and collaborated enough to complete the Heroic Tier - This raid is our most challenging PvE content to date - even as we are making changes to the rewards, we want them to remain commensurate with the effort required. To trade value for exclusivity - Players will receive one to two less guaranteed complete G12 pieces in exchange for consistently earning brand new top-end G12+ components. We believe this is a very fair trade as when completed, G12+ pieces are some of the most powerful gear we have released and will provide a power boost almost comparable to upgrading from G11 to G12. Specifically: EVERY Heroic Tier participant will make progress toward 1 of 6 exclusive pieces of top-end, G12+ gear, every raid Only players Rank 10 or better will still have a chance to receive a complete piece of existing G12 gear All participants will still receive pieces of G12 salvage and the same non-G12 Mystery Box as before To reward the effort of top performers, while preserving an incentive for lower-ranking players to advance - We are reducing the number of reward tiers in order to create clear milestones for all players in a guild to work towards. First, we are removing reward tiers 31-40 and 41-50. All players below Rank 20 will receive the same tier of rewards. Secondly, all players will make progress towards G12+ in every raid. Below are the details on how G12+ works and how the G12+ rewards are distributed in each tier: G12+ Recipe: There are 6 pieces of exclusive G12+ gear. The recipe is as follows: G12+ Component A (50 salvage) G12+ Component B (40 salvage) Two G12 components (Will be grindable on the Ships PvE table) One non-G12 piece In the raid rewards, component A and B will always be given for the same G12+ piece to ensure consistent progress. G12+ Heroic Sith Raid Reward Tier Summary: After each raid: Ranks 1-3 will earn 50%-100% of the G12+ components required for one piece of exclusive G12+ gear. Ranks 4-10 will earn exactly 50% of the G12+ components required for one piece of exclusive G12+ gear. Ranks 11-20 will earn 20%-50% (40% on average) of the G12+ components required for one piece of exclusive G12+ gear. Ranks 21-50 will earn 20%-50% (30% on average) of the G12+ components required for one piece of exclusive G12+ gear. Additionally, Ranks 1-10 have a small bonus chance to earn an extra fully crafted piece of G12+. To reiterate, only the G12 component of the Heroic Tier is being significantly changed at this time. We are actively monitoring player feedback and progress across other tiers and will continue to make adjustments in the future. We would love to hear your thoughts on these upcoming changes DEV POST48KViews0likes541CommentsRevealed: Darth Traya & Sith Triumvirate Raid Abilities
