this latest update is so bad that I just can’t find much pleasure in playing anymore. It took me a while to figure out why my Jabba squad did not get any rewards for dropping level 9…….. because I did not PURCHASE a pass to collect my loot!?! WTH is this! I have been pretty faithful since game release, and if memory serves, it was right around this time of year. This game has evolved so dramatically to the point where you have to spend. I did in fact spend, not as much as some. This latest move though, to rope us into your store and force us to pay more, that has got to be the biggest **bleep** move this group has done since release, so it’s appropriate for me to say farewell at this full cycle of the anniversary of release. I want to start that I loved the Naboo raid at the start. It was a fun new puzzle to figure out. But several months on now I must say this is probably the single biggest chore in the game and I fully dread every week when the raid starts now. So the question I would like to ask folks is does anyone even still like this raid. Does anyone even remotely find it fun or engaging content to do every week? Visually it is great and then theme is spot on to the movie with the ground and space pieces so it is great in that aspect. I have 4 teams built: Gungans w/jar jar at r7. I have QA and bros at R5(still taking to R7) I have Lumi, Kit, KAM, Plo, Qui at R5 I have B2, Maul, Sidious, IG-100, droideka at R5 It literally take me 2-5 hours every week to remod and run multiple attempts becasue of the crap rng or the stupid healing is just crazy strong and if you can't nuke a char in a single turn it will just be full healed and that just means you have wasted valuable enrage and time. I am sick of it. I have played 2 accounts for over 3 years and I would regular spend on both(not kraken or whale but conquest passes and crystal packs). I have fully quit my second account about a month ago because the raid is too much effort and time to spend every week. The only positive I see from this raid is that gungan omi lets me press auto but even that isn't a sure thing and sometimes have to restart it over because of droideka shield crap. One of my biggest issues is that from the very basics of the raid design it is built as a giant F U to the player base. Not only is every tier gated behind gear requirements forcing you to bring up relics. Even after you hit that gear you have stupid high mod checks after that too. I'll admit I don't care much for mods so don't invest much in them but even after bringing a full team to R5 which is a big investment if you don't have really good mods then you are not clearing or max score. The double whammy of reqs is a slap in the face from CG. One or the other, either make me gear or put crazy mod checks but to add both and then still have a lot of RNG is just bad and it makes me not want to engage with the game nearly as much. especially when you add in having to deal with conquest being an absolute chore and slog to get through it really adds up to hurting the game experience. Why is one attempt with my Lumi squad hit enrage in wave 4-5 but then other times I hit max score with only 80% enrage. That is far too much of a swing when using the same mods and overall strategy. LOTR HOME had the exact same issue, I loved the raid at first it was great fun with unique phases but then there was so much rng that I was spending hours and hours retrying for that perfect RNG that I just quit playing(funny enough a week before the closure announcement because week over week there wasn't any real improvement. If you kept gearing you could bump up a tier maybe but then it was still just an RNG fest and there was never a feeling of improvement because extra gear just resulted in the same phase but bigger numbers and still RNG. Summery: add a feature that allows a player to “sim” the raid for 80% of their top score. Or maybe they need to hit the score a set number of times to have the sim option going forward. (3-5 is reasonable). This will still require players to invest in the raid, maybe even more incentive to invest more without demanding more time. It’s something like this or change the raid mechanics completely. The raid is creating a situation for many long time players who would otherwise be happy with SWGOH. It’s requiring too much time in a game that is already requiring too much time from people. Losing players who spend money and dedicated time to the game can’t be good for business… No matter how many hours you see people “interacting” with the new raid. As a Guild Leader and discord server owner for my community, I’m seeing the impacts of the raid time requirements on guild to guild level. CG, help us out here. As a 600mil guild, we are going to keep losing players and buddies who have been playing for years due to the nearly unreasonable amount of time the game is requiring, without there being any option to reduce that time (without penalty). SWGOH is a speeding train for competitive players, if you step off the train, even for a short time, it leaves you behind in an almost unrecoverable way. Dear CG I invested a ton in the raid. R7 or higher on a ton of characters. I can max score every tier I am eligible. But that's where you completely failed on his raid. There is so much RNG, the raid is simply not fun. Speeder bike felt like a chore, but it if you got your mids right and your strategy down, it was easy to get to a good enough score. However, with Naboo, you can spend hours just trying to get a good run. I was within 500k of a max box, and i dont want to do this raid anymore. I want to keep pushing because i want to help my guild but at the same time, i don't have the time to invest in this anymore and need to stop. Press auto, score 300k submit. Unable to join raid launched after guild merger We just went through a successful guild merger (3 guilds into 2), and everything went surprisingly smooth, minimal churn, except for a problem with the raid. A few hours after all of the incoming players, myself included, had joined the guild in game, the officers launched the Naboo raid. According to posts by devs, there was no longer supposed to be a cooldown on joining a guild and being able to join a raid. Also, according to the troubleshooting tree that was in the EA help box: “We no longer enforce a waiting period on players who have recently switched guilds, so you shouldn’t see any problems joining because of that.” From all we can tell, this is a bug, but it’s not one that will affect many players, as most don’t change guilds regularly. I hadn’t changed guilds for years, except to lend a hand back when hAAT was hot. 15 of my guild mates missed out on the 130 million point guild reward box. I always pull the 6.2 million point personal reward, as I have been getting 6.9 million points total on this raid. Nice. I know. I would hope that compensation would be to receive both guild and personal rewards that each player has historically received. I provided screenshots of my past runs and totals as well as the guild’s total for the raid that we were unable to fully participate in. I could post them here, but it feels like bragging. This seems like an easy case to me. Compensate and flag this as an error that hasn’t been fixed. Instead, I’m posting here, asking for upvotes to get EA/CG’s attention. That was EA help’s suggestion. “I completely understand how you must be feeling as an avid gamer and would like to thank you for letting us know and also sharing that since we don't have any information on whether this is working as expected or if it is a bug, we've filed this as a bug report for review. The developers decided to make changes to the raid to make it easier to complete. But when at the end of the wave there is a Commander Droid with a Charged modifier and 1-2 Droidekas, the Droidekas will use Reconstructive Revolution much more often and remain invulnerable almost all the time. Can we please stop the pandering raids. These last few raids have been wretched. Out of the 500 people In the alliance discord I'm in i don't think a single one has found any of the last 3 enjoyable. They are all spending mechanisms. Please go back to allowing all units at our disposal. Raids have become a chore to many people and are no longer fun or allowing for experiences of random compositions for fun in the raid for points and to see how well they could work together. I feel like the fun has been sucked out of raiding and is just not fun and a chore and a grind for people for specific units which end up being worthless the next raid release. This game consumes 2 much time. I like to play it but I have already left it once for a 18 month brake. I really hate it when DEVS do not take into consideration this problem. Like they work to help new people advance and get into the game but do nothing to help the vast majority to stay and not leave because of burn out. There are so many things you can do. Like for ex: All events that we have 3 starred should be simmable! ALL! All Tb battles that we have 3 starred once, should be simmable. Granted this needs a bit of touching, like maybe choose a team to use and then sim it and block that team for further use in that phase etc. I donno, there should be solutions and you should work on finding them. NEXT!!! A GENERAL RESET MODS REPLACEMENT: like a general save of all the mods you have placed on all the characters, that can be reset with a touch of a button for the X amount of gold. This can be like a default mode status that we can easily come back to, after messing around with the mods for the raid, or TW/TB, different events, etc. The replacement of every mode back where it was is such a waste of time. Also get that 200 mods barrier up already. Is such a long requested feature. Listen I have very few hopes for any of this happening, but the bottom line is this: either you start doing some major changes to Q.O.T. (quality of time) or many more players will leave this because of time management problems. So for whom do you keep on releasing stuff if people leave?! CG_Meathead128Views4likes0Comments
