I’m about to start the process of moving my very beloved, 41 generation Legacy save. At this point the save is 3 (actually more, I’ll elaborate later) years old and is very slow and sluggish. As well as buggy. I’m currently suffering from an annoying freezing bug I’m and it has meant I’m constantly loosing progress and feeling frustrated.I had hoped to tough it out until at least gen 50 and hope for a bug fix but the lag has become nearly intolerable and I feel constantly paranoid about every little bit of lag that could cause the bug to occur. My tree has also broken twice so it’s hard to see the whole family without a third party app like plumtree. (Which I have using for a few months now) And it will be nice to at least be able to fix the main legacy line, even though I know I won’t be able to get most if not all of the cousins. And you know after 41 generations of the same family all of the townies are dead, and I’m running out of space to build. This save has also been through so many updates that it’s probably best to start fresh, this was originally an old save I abandoned and decided to re-use, so how old it actually is I have no idea. There are also so many bug fixes that have rolled out lately that are not retroactive. So, after much debate and a lot of anxiety. I have made the decision, that while I am wrapping up the current generation. I am going to start the process of moving all of my legacy sims and some of my lots. This will mean my next generation will start on fresh save and a new beginning. So I thought I’d make a fun little post here for me to chronicle my experiences doing it as well as let everyone else share their’s! And we can all share tips and tricks with each other. Thanks for reading, and I hope you’ll stick around for the journey. P.S hope I put this in the right place 😅381Views5likes19CommentsPlanet Sims Gallery Raid
🌌Planet Sims Gallery Raid🌌 What if the Sims Gallery wasn't just something you scroll.. but a galaxy you explore? That idea is what led me to create something in our Planet Sims Discord community called The Planet Sims Gallery Raid 🌎💚 It's a community activity where we come together to explore the Sims Gallery, support creators, and spread kindness through favorites, downloads, and encouraging comments. We start by showing love to the Maxis Curated (favorites), then take things a step further by spotlighting other creators in the gallery. Why I Created This The Sims Gallery is full of incredible talent, but it can sometimes feel like creations get lost in the crowd or go unseen since losing the News Feed. I wanted to create something to help change that🖤 The Planet Sims Gallery Raid is meant to: ✨Help creators feel seen and appreciated ✨Encourage community connection instead of passive scrolling ✨Make supporting others easy, fun, and organized ✨Turn "just browsing" into shared discovery Most of all, it's about reminding people that behind every build, room, or sim is someone who put time, creativity, and care into it. The Heart Of It 🌌"We wander every Gallery like a galaxy, leaving trails of kindness and light in our wake."🌌 That's really what this is about. Turning the Gallery into a shared space of encouragement, discovery, and connection🌎💚✨ Join Us If you want to be part of it, you're more than welcome to join in the next raid night, or even just explore at your own pace. Join us over in Planet Sims Discord and head over to the Planet-Raiders-HQ channel to see the copy/paste messages for Gallery Raid nights or a solo raid, and check out the kindness that has been shared🖤 Share your Gallery ID, check out other creators, and help us keep building a community where creativity actually gets celebrated.💚56Views1like2CommentsJCGSpark Challenges
Welcome to the JCGSpark Community! Hey everyone, I'm JAY-CAMAROGIRL- (Jay or JCG is fine too!) and I'm so hyped to finally bring my challenge series to the EA Forums. When I'm not neck-deep in Build Mode or creating new stories, I'm a busy SAHM to 3 kiddos and a wife living in Maine. Life is usually a whirlwind of family chaos and cleaning gigs, but The Sims is where I go to relax. As a simmer, I'm all about those deep family dynasties, intricate builds, and finding new ways to tell stories with our pixels. It's been my creative outlet for years, and I love sharing that passion with others✨ What is JCGSpark? I created JCGSpark as a monthly tag to get our community together and just create something cool! I love seeing how everyone interprets a prompt differently. It's honestly one of the best parts of the game for me🖤 Build/CAS Challenges: I like to switch things up! Some months we're focused on floor plans and landscaping. Other months we're diving into CAS to create unique characters and stories. Some are a mix of both! You can choose to build, create a sim, or do both if you're feeling extra inspired! I want everyone to be able to jump in regardless of how they like to play. Stream Showcases: I love celebrating what you all make. I showcase entries live on stream for the JCG Crew so we can all hype each other up and see the talent in our wonderful community🖤 Giveaways: I like to keep things spicy, so I'll sprinkle in giveaways here and there when I'm able to as a thank you for hanging out and participating🖤✨ I'm so excited to see what you all bring to the table. Check the posts below for the current (and past) challenge theme, rules, and to share your entries! ✨🖤Happy Simming🖤✨ JCG Twitch JCG X/Twitter JCG BlueSky JCG Gallery Planet Sims Discord584Views6likes10CommentsAround the World Legacy: Chapter 40
With Eirwen's family accepted back into the fold of the House of Walter, she can now take her first steps into the glamor of noble life. A useful thread to pull on in her work in the shadows, if it comes to that. But for now, she must play the part of someone eager to learn all that the court has to offer. And, you know, there's a romantic date somewhere in the plans. https://paxxieplayssims.blogspot.com/2026/06/eirwen-walter-glitz-and-glamor.html9Views0likes0CommentsPetite Alsace collaboration - Open for participation!
Happy New Year and welcome to another Sims 3 community collaboration hosted by Hidehi2 , Sandraelle and soocoolsim ! Introducing Petite Alsace inspired by picturesque Strasbourg, Colmar and Ribeauville with a dual French and German blend of charming, flower-laden villages and half-timbered homes. We anticipate the completed world will be a lovely addition to your game. Experienced creators (Intermediate+) are invited to join us in creating builds to add to the base world. If you love decorating but building isn’t your forte, let us know and we'll try to build a shell for you. Everyone can experience Petite Alsace taking shape by downloading the base world and installing builds as they become available. Please keep an eye on the "News and Updates" post for milestones and links to new creations as they become available. Constructive comments throughout this event are also welcome, so don't be shy. Without further ado, onto the details below and come join in the fun! LOT LISTINGS Map A: Colmar (Medieval, half-timbered houses with flower-filled balconies) Map B: Ribeauville (Pastel, half-timbered 15th - 18th century houses) Map C: Ribeauville Outskirts (Farming area) Map D: Strasbourg (City area, mix of old and new buildings) Map E: Avenue du Rhin (Wine region) Map F: Route de Alsace (Rural area) CLAIMING OVERVIEW Download the empty Petite Alsace base world created by the talented Hidehi2. Take a look at the available lots using the Map posts as reference (see links above). Indicate you're on board and sign up for your first claim by replying on this thread with your chosen map lot reference # (eg A8). I will update the lists with claims and add download / media links when builds are completed. Every two weeks (around the 1st and 15th of the month) a new claiming period starting with a 'Claiming Day' post will begin. During this period, if you join the collaboration or have a build in progress on Claiming Day, you can claim 1 lot. For ongoing participants, if all previously claimed builds are completed and (no cc) download link(s) submitted by Claiming Day, you may claim up to 2 lots. BUILDING GUIDELINES Please stay within the theme of each map area and overall Alsace inspiration. You have creative freedom otherwise. Inspiration links at the top of this post may be helpful. All / any EA Expansion Packs, Stuff Packs and official Store Items can be used. Free EA Store Items are OK for use. Note: Some are no longer available for download so use at your discretion. NO third-party Custom Content is allowed. Please Custard Check your exported file before uploading to double check. We highly recommend play-testing your build before uploading to ensure no routing concerns and users can enjoy as intended. Do test placement of your final build. This helps identify any potential issues (e.g. windows / floor tiles out of place). To do this... export your build, save your game, delete the existing build, then replace with the exported version from your library. Take a careful look around and fix as needed. It will be useful for players if the Petite Alsace lot address is included in your build description on the Exchange, albeit optional. Do take the time to put your best foot forward to make your build(s) shine inside and out. Just be cautious about using a ton of clutter since that can add to lag when playing. Each build will be showcased with credit in video walkthroughs on YouTube once the world is completed. Once your build is available on the Sims 3 Exchange, please post a reply on this thread including: name of build / map reference and/or address / download link / cover picture / custard screenshot confirming no 3rd party custom content included. Optional! Link to additional picture site / thread. SIMS / HOUSEHOLDS This collaboration focuses on builds since the final world save file will be unpopulated, however we are happy to link to Sims / Households created for Petite Alsace. Petite Alsace builders can submit Sims / Households for their completed claims as well as Townie use. All / any EA Expansion Packs, Stuff Packs and official Store Items can be used. Free EA Store Items are OK for use. Note: Some are no longer available for download so use at your discretion. NO third-party Custom Content is allowed. Please Custard Check your exported file before uploading to double check. Once your Sim / Household is available on the Exchange, please post a reply on this thread including: name / map reference or address (or identify as Townie) / download link / 1 cover picture / custard screenshot confirming no 3rd party custom content included. Optional! Link to additional picture site / showcase thread. Looking forward to participation by the Sims 3 community! 😀 STORIES / VIDEOS Players may wish to enjoy this world as it evolves and we welcome links to any Petite Alsace story threads / blogs / media. After way too many delays, I've finally finished the next chapter of Around the World Legacy! Eirwen's life becomes a bit more interesting when a mysterious stranger arrives on her doorstep on New Year's Day: Grand Duchess Margaret Walter of Brindleton Bay... who claims she is Eirwen's aunt. What does she want, and why is she here? And will this get in the way of what Eirwen has planned? https://paxxieplayssims.blogspot.com/2026/06/eirwen-walter-family-reunion-generation.html12Views0likes0CommentsMoochellie Makes - 2nd Entry
Hello, Sim family!! I fiiiiiinally finished another Simspired sewing project. I'm not gonna lie, this projects had me beat. I started it around Jan/Feb, made good progress, then came the fitting. Only thing is, the fabric I used is prone to terrible fraying. So when I tried to take it apart to adjust the size, the fabric basically disintegrated. Then I spent some time trying to figure out how to work around it so that I still have an in tact garment. Day and night I obsessed over it until I finally decided to just scrap it completely and start over again. I've been sewing for almost 20 years and very seldom does a sewing project beat me into the ground, LOL. After moths of working on the perfect garment, I present to you the newest addition to my wardrobe. A dress from Seasons... At first glance I was confused by the structure. Considering the bodice crosses over from the left side, but the shirt's front left side hem looks like it overlaps onto the back, I was like how in the plumbob does this wrap dress work?????? Until closer inspection I "decided" that this isn't a wrap dress and just a plain dress with a basic waist seam 😆 After staring from scratch I opted for a scuba spandex just in case I had to adjust the fitting again, which I did, but it was easier with the stretch fabric because I didn't have to use a side zipper for it. I love stretch fabrics for this very reason. You can make dresses that you can just slip on 🎉 I love the similarities that came out in the finished product - the draping in the bodice just above the waist seam and the gathering around the waist of the skirt. The only thing I deviated away from the Sim dress was the length of the skirt hem. Because I want to wear this dress to work I didn't think the height of the left side skirt was work-appropriate. Still, I'm thrilled with how it came out. And just with the last Sim sewing project, I just HAD to get the matching shoes. A pair of sling sandals in orange 😍 Well, that's it for now. I already chose the next garment to make. Hint... It's a blue dress from Horse Ranch. I already have the pattern set aside, now I just need to get the fabric 🤩🤩🤩177Views13likes12Comments
