This problem has been arround for far too long. I CAN`T ACCESS MY LIBRARY AND PLAY THE GAMES I BOUGHT!!!!!! Has started since the update that changed the orange icon to the blue icon. The app literally opens and closes immediately after. Doesn`t show any error code. Just this mess time after time trying to get to play the game i want. Tried uninstalling and reinstaling it. Tried cleaning the cache. Tried repairing the app with the built-in tool. Tried other solutions that other people suggested. Nothing worked. What`s up EA? Why havn`t you fixed this yet? As from what i saw around the internet, this is not just a problem with my PC! And worse... seems like ther is no irect way to communicate with no one inside EA to asl for direct help. Running on Windows 11 pro. What do you suggest?Solved89Views0likes6CommentsEA App is closing itself automatically
Hello everyone, Until yesterday I did not have any problem with EA App while I am playing EAFC26. Starting from today, when I open the game and start playing, after a couple of minutes the game forces me to exit saying that "EAFC26 is closed because EA APP is being closed". This is something happens out of my control and I tried every method. When I checked the settings from Windows to open EAAntiCheat automatically, it didn't allow me by giving me the message of "Error 87". I deleted EA App and reinstalled it. I tried deleting the cache. I restarted the computer after closing everything. I just wonder is it only me or is there a general problem? Only from today I start having this problem and I cannot play the game.79Views0likes2CommentsEA App closes after 5 minutes
I am having a recurring issue with the EA app closing after approximately 5 minutes. This causes games that I start to then close also and downloads for other games just not working. I have tried the following:- Admin permissions Clearing cache through app recovery (why this is even a separate thing speaks to how this appears to be a known bug and requires a separate tool to fix rather than actually fixing the cause); Background service set to autostart manually deleting the cache folders Turning off in-game overlay I have not found any other possible solutions so I will now try a re-install. Anyone else got any solutions?Exception Breakpoint
Hello, I'm currently encountering a mild issue: every time I shut down my PC after playing The Sims 4, a pop-up window appears telling me that an exception breakpoint has been reached. The title of the window indicates it is being prompted by EADesktop, which is found in the EA app files, not The Sims game files, so I am assuming it's a problem with that application. I'm not sure I can get a screenshot of the error message, since it's interrupting the shutdown process when it occurs, but I will attach a DxDiag.txt file below. The error code I'm getting is 0x80000003 (which seems to be the common code for this error) and it occurs at location 0x00007FFC0292D8E1 (or, at least, it did the time that I wrote down the details). I have since uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA app and The Sims 4 at least twice each, and I continue to encounter the issue, but I haven't checked if the error location is the same. It doesn't affect anything once the "OK" button or the "X" is pressed as far as I can tell, but it is an at first alarming and then annoying interruption to the normal shutdown process. In terms of troubleshooting, I've done the following: Repair files for EA application + The Sims 4 files, shutdown: issue persists; Disable run on startup for EA application, end EA tasks in Task Manager, use PC for light tasks (Firefox ~15 minutes) without using EA app or The Sims 4, shutdown: no issue encountered; Boot up PC, use for light gaming (Civ V for ~1 hour), shutdown: no issue encountered; Boot up PC, play The Sims 4 as normal, then shutdown: issue persists. Uninstall EA application + The Sims 4, check shutdown + restart quality without EA app installed: no issue encountered; Reinstall EA application + The Sims 4, shutdown + restart with EA app installed, without using EA app or The Sims 4: no issue encountered; Play as normal, then shutdown: issue persists; Boot up PC, check remaining storage and memory: looks okay to me, but I'm no expert. Refer to the attached DxDiag.txt file to make an independent judgement. Run mdsched + restart to check for memory leaks: no problems detected; Open the Sims 4, close the application, check Task Manager and end EA background processes, then shut down: no issue encountered. My current conclusion: Issue is related to the EA application and only the EA application, which is engaged on some level every time The Sims 4 runs. Because the EA application continues to run in the background/system tray even after closing the window, its background processes continue running until ended directly in Task Manager (which does not produce an error code) or indirectly by the shutdown process, which is where the pop-up occurs. Best guess: even the clean, new-in-box EA application background processes currently include a fragment of code with a debugging breakpoint that triggers when the program is "unexpectedly interrupted", producing a pop-up window which only allows the user to terminate the program, which, incidentally, is what the shutdown process is already doing, and what most users expect the "X" on the application window to have already done. Other, related advice I've seen but haven't tried: Run chkdsk as administrator to find and repair potential hard drive issues; Check for driver updates. Some kind of registry change to prevent EA from running in the background after being closed out? Though I have technically been able to locate the problem and a workaround, I would love to find a solution that doesn't require me to open Task Manager after every session of the Sims, so if you have any thoughts, please advise. "EA Background Service" for my computer is showing up on my task manager on my computer after turning it on for the morning, without even starting anything EA-related. The app is not open, Epic is not open, Xbox, B.net, nothing related to it at all is open and yet this is still on my task manager for some reason when I restart my computer. I have no startup programs that would cause this. It's also set to "manual" in my services, yet it started up on its own before any prompt, like a spyware or malware program would. It also does not close when I close the EA App, and I have background services off entirely. Please help me fix this. It seems no one has found a fix for this for years and years, and people keep asking for help on it, and nothing works.I got double charged. Help me
