EA Account Hacked - Verification Code Sent to a Strange Email Address
Hello everyone, I'm writing this post to seek help and share my experience with what I believe is a hacked EA account. When I tried to launch an EA game through Steam, the EA login pop-up appeared. To my shock, it displayed a message saying "We will send a verification code to ua*@fmailnex.com". I immediately recognized that fmailnex.com is NOT an official EA domain (like ea.com). It seems the attacker has already gained partial access to my account, likely by changing the associated email address or two-factor authentication (2FA) settings. As a result, the login verification codes are being redirected to their controlled email. Key Points: I CANNOT log into my EA account anymore because the only way to get the code is from that suspicious fmailnex.com email address, which I do not have access to. I have NOT clicked any links from this process. I suspect my account was compromised through a phishing attempt or malware. What I have already tried/done: I did NOT send any code to that address. I attempted to manually log into ea.com, but I'm stuck at the verification code step. I am currently in the process of contacting EA Help (help.ea.com) to file a recovery claim. I am preparing information like my original registered email, linked Steam account, and game purchase history. My questions for the community: Has anyone encountered a similar situation with the fmailnex.com domain specifically? Beyond the official EA Help process, is there any other effective step or tip you would recommend for recovering a hijacked account? How can I better secure my account if I manage to get it back? Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! The account I am currently using is the one I created with my email, not the one linked to Steam, as I am unable to log in to that accountRandom EA account linked to my steam account
I've bought a game on steam and could not play it because of an EA error which stated to reset my password. I found out that the problem might be the random EA account linked to my steam account. I cannot find a way to unlink that unknown account from my steam, could anyone help me?Launching the game
Launching the game I’ve been having trouble for the last hour just trying to launch the game. It says ”Try resetting your password and restarting your game”. I can’t even count on my fingers how many times i tried to do that before contacting EA support. And they have been no help at all. They say it’s a bug now, after chatting with them for an hour, and yes i’ve tried clearing my cache on both ea and steam but nothing works. So please have anyone else had this issue recently that can help med?12Views0likes0Comments[INFO REQUEST] "Service Limitations Apply" Error In EA app Or Online
Hi everyone, Over the past week, we’ve seen a small uptick in reports from players encountering a “Service Limitations Apply” error in the EA app on PC and Mac. This error appears during login, when launching a game via a third-party launcher (like Steam or Epic), or when trying to link those launchers to an EA account. To help us investigate and hopefully resolve this for those affected, please share the following information in your reply: Your region/country of residence Whether you are located in or connecting through a country listed under EA’s restricted regions (see: "EA games unavailable in some countries or regions") Are you using a VPN? If so, please disable it completely (make sure no VPN-related processes are running), reboot your device, and try again. Your EA app Error Reporter ID You can generate this from the EA app and post it here in the thread. See [INFO/GUIDE] Index - Troubleshooting the EA app. Once we have these details, we can investigate the issue further and try to identify its cause. TL:DR, My EA account is not linking properly and somehow showing two different account in one which is causing authentication errors and steam library sync issues preventing me from playing BF6. I beg of mods and/or support to put me in contact with someone to help because the EA website will not let me create a support case because of the account issues. To begin, I have recently acquired Battlefield 6 and promptly installed to play with friends. This is where it all went horribly wrong. I started fighting anticheat constantly telling me there was something else not secure enough to meet EAs standards. After getting through that battle, I get to the games home screen where it says to press the space bar. Finally, I can play the game. Or so I thought. The game tries to connect to EA servers and fails with code "1:8600 1S:66003S:4688822970:0B". I began looking at my DNS records thinking I had a filter blocking access to their servers, but found that there was nothing being blocked. Still, as per their online documentation I tried Cloudflare and OpenDNS providers to be sure. Still got that same error. I then tried to trace packets on my local network with Wireshark and BAM! Anticheat said it knows better than I do and can't run the game with Wireshark running. So I have no way of tracing packets from the game. who knows, that may still be an issue. Instead without BF6 running, I ran tracert ea.com in Windows terminal(PowerShell) this showed me that I was indeed getting a response from CDN provider akamai. That said, it looked like it was a routing issue, and I am in a double NAT environment. After another couple hours of network troubleshooting I verify that the games UDP and TCP ports are not being blocked by my network, nor windows firewall. I even took my desktop out of the double NAT. And I was still getting this error. I am now weeks into troubleshooting and just launching the game to test connection has resulted in steam logging 81 minutes of playtime. That does not include troubleshooting while the game was not running for testing. I am realistically more than a couple hours into this. SO, I read something in a very obscure forum that there could be some sort of account linking issue. This is where, I think, I have identified the issue at. Logging into my EA account and navigating to the linked account page it says my steam account is not linked. Great, all I have to do is link and I can play the game. Of course not, that would be too easy. The page gave me an error saying that my steam account was already linked to my EA account. Strange. So I logged out of my EA account and tried Steam SSO to login to EA and it prompted my for my email address. Entering that gave me yet another error saying that it could not log me into me EA account. After back and forth with this thing, I used a different email address and that finally logged me into my EA account properly, it was showing all my account links again and all looked good. If you think I should've been able to play BF6 by this point you'd be wrong. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here begging for an EA rep to reach out to me. I was still getting that error. I downloaded the EA App for windows to look around and found that my Steam account is out of sync and it does not recognize that I own BF6. This is why I think I am running into an authentication issue due to a faulty link or whatever is wrong with my account(you'll see what I mean). I gave up, I went to create a support case. But some very strange things have happened to my EA account now. on the profile screen, I have the correct username and the account creation date shows 2018. Sounds about right. The case creation form shows a random string for the username and says the account was created in 2025. Obviously, it can't be both. Submitting the form doesn't throw a visible exception, but it does not seem to actually submit as it is being submitted to an account that is somehow me but not me and doesn't exist as I never created it. So, EA does not have email support that I can find. Nor could I find a phone line to call. If community members have any suggestions, I am all ears. For EA mods and/or support reps, I beg of you to put me in contact with someone to assist me in this issue as I clearly cannot do it myself and am unable to reach out to someone because of this account issue.39Views0likes0CommentsEA App Errors EC 10600 / 10608 / 10610
Hi everyone, I really need help because I have been unable to play EA Sports FC for 4 days now. Every time I launch the game, I get different EA App errors related to cloud sync or connection: - EC 10600 (couldn’t load cloud data) - EC 10608 (network sync issue) - EC 10610 (unable to connect to EA servers) - “Your latest sync was interrupted” - Cloud / local data conflicts Sometimes EA App doesn’t even open properly, sometimes the game won’t launch, and when it finally launches, the same errors appear again. I have tried absolutely everything: - Clearing EA App cache - Deleting AppData (Local, LocalLow, Roaming) - Reinstalling EA App, Steam, and the game - Resetting DNS, IP, Winsock - Running as administrator - Disabling antivirus/firewall Nothing worked. To check if the problem was my EA account, I even created a new EA account and linked it to Steam. But the same errors appear on the new account too, so this is not a problem with my account or my PC. Now I’m stuck because my Steam account is linked to the new EA account, and I can’t go back to my original one due to the 6-month unlink restriction. So I can’t play on my main account anymore either. At this point I’m completely lost and very disappointed because I just want to play the game again. If anyone has suggestions, solutions, or knows what I can try next, please help me. I really don’t know what else to do. Thank you.EA App Errors EC 10600 / 10608 / 10610 — Can’t Play (Tried Everything)

I have tried since 10 am to figure out how to work this. It is now 5pm. I download cottage living with my already downloaded island and cats and dogs. When I went into the game island cats/dogs said they were uninstalled and cottage living was ready. I got to EA and steam and both say they are installed. I have researched so many things trying to get all packs working at the same time. After seeing that my other packs deleted all of my work. I am so lost and would like feedback but also a helper to chat with. Thanks
