Children returning from school too early
Hi, I have been dipping into playing the Sims 3 after years of only playing Sims 4, so forgive me if the answer to this is an obvious one! (P.S., I'm loving it!). Anyway, on a couple of occasions, my Sims' children will walk in the door at midday, even though they left to school on the bus in the morning. I can't figure out why. Is this a glitch or am I missing something? Also, they will randomly have days off even when it isn't a snow day. It will just say there is no school till the next day. I am attempting the 100 baby challenge in the Sims 3, and I have noticed the random day off usually occurs after I age up a teen to YA and move them out via edit world. But the children randomly coming home at midday doesn't occur after I make such a move. TIA.

the sims 3 collection price
I was checking steam and noticed that The Sims 3 Collection used to be priced at around $60 on sale, but it's now listed at (no sale) $320. This steep increase makes it nearly impossible for most fans to purchase the game along with its DLC without going broke. Could you please clarify why this price hike occurred, and is there any chance of a more affordable option for those of us who love the series? even right now its on sale but because of the increased price on a sale costs $170 and that is too much for the age of the game and even with all of the dlcs

...who find it difficult to make a New Sim? 😎 I'm starting a new Challenge, just for myself. I wanted a new Sim. So I opened CAS and picked the first one. Naw, Not interested. :( I checked my Saved Sims and found one from years ago the game generated and I edited. He's cute. 😄 I wanted a Female. After editing the face and checking back to male, it was too bland if she has sons. :( Back to random! I edited her to make something new and ended up with nearly the same FACE I always make. 🤭 Random, random, random... No, no, no. So, why not my favorite Sim just edited a bit more. Fine! The same Sim I've enjoyed playing for years - slightly edited. Until 😺 In Game! (my computer isn't great) I laughed because she looks so surprised. Not the Sim for me. 🤔 Back to my favorite. Meet Ainsley. Don't ya love the view? A Rags2Richs on the beach start. I noticed the rules don't prohibit going to University nor going into the future Such easy money into the future... But NO. You're going to fish, Girl. You're going to struggle a bit. Do you find it has hard to get a new Sim as I do? 💖💚 *Since I see so many Adorable Sims posted, I guess I'm in a small group of Simmers. 🤳
Life of Charlie
I'm not going to have any goals, I'm just gonna play and post pics and some story with it. I'm figuring that even if I delete a file it can be like 'rebooted', Charlie jumps back into a new life with some memories of her previous life. I'll avoid posting the same stuff on repeat, 'like Charlie grows a tomato' unless it's just a really beautiful shot. Charlie and Kupo Charlie- artistic, friendly, photograhers eye, animal lover, loves the outdoors Kupo- Quiet, lazy, independent. Charlie feels like she's been through this scenario before, it's like deja vu. Her and Kupo have this terrible feeling like the last time she had a trip she had died from too much sun. She's in a town called Twinbrook and will make her life the best that she can with no boundaries, just wanting to live life to the fullest!!!
TS3→ Random Lepacy
I'm about to start the 4th generation so I suppose it's kinda weird that I'm just starting a thread for it. But, when I first started I wanted to make sure I'd actually stick with it. Then, the forums were changing and I got frustrated. Anyway, here it is. Chapter Index (on my blog) I play mostly by the Random Legacy rules. Each generation I add new packs and store content by their order of release like a normal lepacy. But, instead of playing in the pack worlds, we’re exploring custom worlds made only with content from those packs. Note: I tried to put all the chapter links here but my post got deleted. I don't know if there's a limit to the number of links?
Bringing together two brothers (photos)
My game crashed and burned, but before that, I was able to save my sim. I'm not sure of the backstory of the Striker brothers in Bridgeport other than they were not originally from Bridgeport and they don't know each other. They both have the same zodiac sign, and at first, I thought they might have been twins, but there are a few days in their age, so that couldn't be it. In the game that crashed my sim was friends with Raphael, but not Richie, but this time around she became friends with both. Now my sim has made it her mission, to bring these two brothers together, and form a proper brotherly bond.Switching My Sims
I have another file where I'm playing different sims when I feel like switching. I've tried the rotational play, but there is so much to keep up with. I'm a very relaxed player that can't keep one file. I feel bad making new posts, because I feel like I'm just clogging up the boards, so I'm trying to keep all of my chaotic play to two posts. Just like Charlie I'll have stories for each of my sims, they all have differing personalities and desires. The first one is Edward Lillar. He wants to be in the film industry so anything he does it is to better the chance of making it big. Picking flowers and growing gardens does nothing socially except for those who are happy with simple lives. He doesn't look down on those with simple lives, but he just wants to be more. He wants the celebrity life of glamour and fame. He moved from a city that is only known for its restaurants and aspiring chefs, to Bridgeport to follow his dreams. His father was a sous chef and his mother worked part time as a cake decorator. With that influence he knows a little about cooking, but not much. When he isn't looking for stardom he is reading and his secret pleasure is hacking. Nothing wrong with making an extra few simoleans nightly, right?

So it's October, and it's that sp00ky time of the year again! What better way to celebrate this month than to share all our sp00ky sims and stories, the things that go bump in the night, and any scary tales of your sims! I'll start by sharing a sp00ky sim of my own: Meet Lady Isabella Kensington, wife of famous adventurer Sir Reginald Kensington! https://i.imgur.com/ziAV1o4.png Back in the 1930's Isabella had everything she ever wanted; a loving family, a nice home in Londontown, and comfortable riches from her family's wealth. Everything changed however, when the War came to Britain. With having her daughter be sent away to the countryside, and her husband conscripted into the military, Isabella had no other choice but to leave it all behind and retreat to the safety of the backwoods. While packing everything to leave, The Blitz began through the streets of London, 1941; she didn't make it to safety and burned inside her own home. Now a wandering lost soul, she clamors to discover the whereabouts of her family, and may perhaps achieve the long-lasting peace she so desires. https://i.imgur.com/Myi9N2w.png In my main save she's bunked in with two other equally sp00ky sims; Kayson Barrios, the first alien townie generated in my game, and Lady Sylvania Nistria, the first vampire I ever made. I call it the Spookies household! While I took my time conjuring forth a continuation of her story, I had her take on a career as a ghost writer (lol) and has joined a club (I think it was in gardening) to work on her collecting. https://i.imgur.com/1sb9Km9.png Here she is coming back from a late-night party scaring the living daylights out of this busker!
