Forcing people into my games?
my gf and i have been playing this game for a few hours now, and out of no where, it started adding random people to our party. at one point it even said we had 8 people (which skate only allows 4 in a party?) it kept forcing people into our lines and sessions. then we wouldn’t be able to finish what we were doing because not all players could trick on the spot. it keeps doing this, and then (if we somehow) miraculously finish the line, it glitched us out of the game. photos added! we are on playstation 5
Graphics Settings Fail to Save (NOT Duplicate)
I read that this issue was "fixed" in the latest update, but I am sad to report that this is untrue. My game always launched is 640x480 now. The game only loads this resolution AFTER it loads my config. In the initial menu, where you can hit Start, my resolution is 1920x1080 (normal). When I try changing my config and applying the changes, no matter how many times I reapply the changes or switch successfully between Fullscreen and Borderless, the changes remain unsaved. Sometimes the message warning me of unsaved messages does not appear, but they remain apparently unsaved and stuck on 640x480. I am completely unable to save changes to my graphics settings that are respected when I restart the game. Things I've tried: 1. Removing %LocalAppData%/Skate, the local directory for configs, saves, and exports. This appeared to slightly improve performance, but does not fix the settings bug. 2. Verifying the integrity of game files on Steam. When I do this, the game consistently fails to validate exactly 3 files. These three files WILL verify if I check game integrity immediately after downloading them. HOWEVER, after launching the game exactly ONCE, *every time*, they will become broken, fail to validate, and be reacquired. Tested many times in a row. 3. Reinstalling the entire game AFTER clearing %LocalAppData%/Skate of all files and folders, hidden or otherwise. This reset the game to Ultra Fullscreen, but as soon as I tried adjusting graphics settings, the game bugged again. 4. Updated my 4070 TI Super to 591.44, the latest Nvidia driver for my card. No change. 5. I briefly attempted despair, which also failed to prove itself useful. Also, during this process, I crashed multiple times, so I am including a zip of my crash logs. (This update has been pretty rough. I really hope the game can survive this, because my community is losing more active players by the day.)Cross-Play Greyed Out - Xbox Series X
Player the game since launch and I’ve never been able to enable cross-play. My Xbox settings are fine as I play other cross-platform games. When I go to the Party Settings, cross-play is greyed out and has been since day 1. I’ve watched videos on how to enable cross-play and I noticed there should be a setting under the “Social” section in General Settings to also enable this but I don’t have that setting
Infinite black loading screen/3967269002 error code
After the update I tried to play game, but there was infinite loading screen. I relaunched the game and got an error message: CONNECTION LOST Error code: 3967269002 You have been kicked from the server. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information. EA server status says that Skate server is ok and online. I tried everyting, repairing the game, reinstalling EGS, watching video from indian guy - nothing works for me. Is the problem on me, or on the EA side? Yesterday everything was alright. UPDATE: I've reinstalled the game, and it's working fine for now. If this method doesn't work for you, try a different one from the comments (moving game from hdd to ssd) , it helped someone too.
Low resolution issue still on going
Hello, The low resolution at launch issue is still on going even though it was reported to been fixed in this thread: Screen resolution is set to lowest setting every time I launch the game | EA Forums - 12985150 I have the latest version of the game. Seems also that the performance has sunk (not sure if it's due to this tho) quite a lot. The issue involves: Low resolution at start Changing to fullscreen -> borderless fixes it but the game jitters/lags quite a lot If you have HDR on it sometimes disappears from the menu when switching between fullscreen/borderless If you change to fullscreen you cannot change the refresh rate. Or you can and save but it doesnt actually save your settings Even though you finally manage to get all the settings correct and apply everything, when leaving menu it will ask you, if you want to leave without saving the changes (even though I have several times) Thanks!Fix the music player.
The music player often randomly turns off or switches station and it's very annoying. like sometimes when I start a challenge it will change the playlist and when the challenge is done it will just turn off the music completely. Can you please fix it so that it stays on the same station that you choose and also stay in the same on/off state and not constantly change like it does now, it's really **bleep** annoying.
Stuck on black screen upon launching game
This has been an issue since early beta access days…It seemed fixed for a bit, but lately it’s happening again. When I launch Skate from Steam, it gets stuck on an all black screen and it completely freezes my PC. I have to hard reset my PC just to get it working again. The “fix” is to open another application, then windows tab over when Skate is done launching. Please fix this, as this could be affecting many people’s PCs. It’s almost as if y’all don’t even read or check these forums or listen to any feedback whatsoever, it’s so baffling.
