BF II don't start
Hello, I am reaching out to support because Star Wars Battlefront II has not been working for several weeks and I have exhausted every solution I could find. Exact symptom: the game launches, the window opens for about 2 seconds, it attempts to go fullscreen, then silently closes and reopens the EA launcher. No error message, no error code, nothing. Sometimes it accepts to launch once or twice, then stops working entirely afterwards, without any changes made on my end between sessions. System configuration: - GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X - Secure Boot: Enabled - BIOS Mode: UEFI - Game purchased via Steam, tested via both Steam AND the EA App Troubleshooting steps already attempted without success: - Full uninstall of the game (including system files) and reinstall - Clean AMD driver reinstall using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) - Disabled Radeon Anti-Lag - Installed Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x64 and x86 - Cleared the EA App cache - Verified game file integrity via Steam (no corrupted files detected) - Reinstalled EA AntiCheat via EAAntiCheat.Installer as administrator - Checked environment variables (no GAME_DATA_DIR present) - Disabled DirectX 12 in the game config files - Checked Windows Event Viewer (no error logged at the time of the crash) I suspect the issue is related to EA Javelin AntiCheat silently killing the process, as the behavior matches exactly: silent crash with no message, random between sessions, no trace in Windows logs. BF II not starting
I own both SWBFII and TFII on steam, however, unfortunately, it needs the EA client to run them... I cnanot for the life of me get either running. I've uninstalled, reinstalled the EA App, the games, verified files, checked all drivers, updated as needed. Made sure DX12 was off. Still, no launch. Hit the play button on steam, EA Client opens, then the play button reappears on steam, EA Client, closes, and restarts like nothing was pushed.. Try launching from EA Client, same thing. No errors, client closes, restarts with nothing happening. Super frustrating as it's run before. TF2 has the exact same issue...
Battlefront II shows available soon 2017 in ea app
my xbox account is linked to my ea account and i have xbox game pass ultimate which includes ea play but in the ea app the game shows available soon 2017 instead of being available to install or play and because of this i cannot access or install it through the ea app also the on xbox app on pc crashes immediately when i open the game page for this game i already tried restarting both apps signing out and back in and checking account linking and deleting cashe and all that stuff> i really dont know what to do now> can someone pleases help? thank youUnfixable Error Code 216
I have owned Star Wars Battlefront II for years now but a while back it stopped letting me load into any multiplayer game at all. I keep getting a split second glance of the troop selection screen at the beginning of every game and then it kicks me out and displays error code 216. I have researched every possible solution and not a single one has worked for me. I play on Xbox One S, so I have cleared my cache and MAC address, changed my DNS, tested my NAT type and all my connections, and also clearing my reserved space before reloading the game. It seems that there is no fix to this and I am unsure what to do.Can’t Find Available Games
Error code 1,066 (can’t find any playable games) for PS5. I’ve been playing Battlefront 2 for nine years and have never NOT found a multiplayer game. I keep going to “Find a Quick Match” which should place me in any available multiplayer match, and the error code keeps resulting. My internet connection is fine so feel like this is in EA.
How to deal with cheaters in game
So, with EA completely failing to take any meaningful action regarding the ongoing epidemic of cheaters, I'd like to share some of my tactics for dealing with cheaters in-game. Learn the Rules Here: EA won't do anything about cheating, but they will ban you for discussing the details of cheatpacks, the websites or individual streamers involved or any actions that you might take to defend your legal rights. These are not allowed. Learn about the Cheatpacks: You won't even know the player or team you are playing against are using cheats if you do not know what to look for. Many cheaters are "low-key" and do not cheat in obvious ways unless you take the time to educate yourself. Take the time to report them using the EA app: I know if feels as if it doesn't do anything - in fact, cheaters will often brag in chat that EA won't do anything. They're half-right - EA will not - but the Anticheat built into the game will. I am not permitted to disclose how the anticheat works, but reporting it is the #1 action you take to fight cheaters. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY NOTHING WILL BE DONE. Learn how to spot cheaters through the scoreboard: Level 3 pwing an entire team during HvV? Do they have 20k score while everyone else has 10k? We call these people "smurfs" and they are all proof that he anticheat works. They are rerturning from a ban and it's painfully obvious. Do Not Play Their Game: This is the most important and controversial piece of advice I can give. To be clear it is against EA's TOS to "throw" a match. But a person can use very creative methods to "forget" to draw a lightsaber, have to run to the bathroom or die exploring out-of-bounds areas. I like to do this with a S-tier character when I know I'm on a team full of cheaters. Every. Single. Spawn. Nothing seems to be funnier than listening to cheaters scream about thier games being "ruined". Have Fun: Don't let cheaters ruin your joy. I have over 3000 hours in this game and it's still the best game in the history of gaming in my humble opinion. I play an hour or two a day and report 40-50 cheaters in that time. I have no intention of stopping. We're launching a new YouTube channel in the coming days dedicated to naming and shaming - as we are expressly forbidden to do that here. Ewok Hunt has game breaking glitches
Ewok Hunt is completely broken and has been for several updates now — can we PLEASE get a fix? Two bugs are killing the mode: first, black screens and movement locks right when the evacuation ship is about to spawn, and second, random mid-game freezes that force you to respawn for no reason. It's not an occasional glitch, it's constant and game-breaking. A lot of us bought Battlefront 2 specifically for this mode. It's genuinely sad to see it in this state. Dev team, please acknowledge this.
