Manager Career Mode Discord Review of Patch Schedule; Completely Unacceptible
Just reviewed the notes from the Manager Career mode discussion earlier today on Discord. Outlined during the conversation was the update schedule for constant gamebreaking issues. Apparently, the career mode community will be forced to wait for months, before desperately needed patches are released. Personally, have only played the game for three hours total, since paying for Early Access on September 17th. In addition, more than half of the bugs and glitches are ommitted from the Trello board for investigation, even though developers have known about the problems, since internal testing began in May. TITLE UPDATE 1.1 CHANGES (OCTOBER 13th to 15th) Addressed general user interface input registration failures that caused softlocks in menus. Fix instability crash loops triggered when transitioning out of pre-match press conferences. Resolve tactical preset corruption where custom tactics inverted defensive depth upon reloading a save. Correct competition objective weighting that led to instant manager termination in European tournaments. TITLE UPDATE 1.2 CHANGES (NOVEMBER 3rd to 5th) Fix stability crashes occurring during simulated youth academy tournament matches. Correct user interface overlay errors displaying debug code placeholders during transfer deadline day cutscenes. Address instances where player fitness indicators failed to update following international duty intervals. Fix visual clipping and jersey rendering errors during trophy presentation cinematics. TITLE UPDATE 1.3 CHANGES (DECEMBER 8th to 11th) Address simulation engine logic causing top-tier licensed clubs to field reserve goalkeepers in domestic cup finals. Mitigate menu latency spikes inside the Team Management hub. Fix erroneous morale deterioration triggered when injured squad members were omitted from matchday squads. Stabilize memory leak issues caused by sequential contract negotiations across a single calendar week. ACTIVE CRITICAL ISSUES NOT UNDER INVESTIGATION Youth scouts lock permanently upon completing a cycle, preventing recalls, reassignments, or viewing previous monthly reports. Contract negotiations for existing senior squad members and youth prospects fail instantly or present greyed-out prompts, causing unpreventable player departures on free transfers. Player agent counteroffers suffer an exponential calculation fault, driving weekly wage demands from two thousand five hundred to two million and triggering board dismissals for wage structure violations. All sixteen CPU and user teammate sliders revert to baseline fifty upon backing out of a match session or exiting the application. Reserve and bench player allocations reset to the default configuration immediately upon exiting the Team Management screen, wiping pre-match adjustments. PERSISTENT LEGACY DEFECTS The Create A Club goalkeeper jersey logo glitch remains unresolved, causing custom club crests to either vanish entirely during match gameplay or display as corrupted placeholder badges. The main menu Club Transfer system for national teams and Classic XI rosters remains non-functional, failing to save player transfers or export custom rosters into Career Mode despite patch notes in Title Update 1.0.3 claiming the pipeline was repaired. Transfer fee deductions occur without the acquired player being added to the active roster. Recalling players from loans triggers an arbitrary re-roll of potential ratings that wipes out organic player development. Dynamic potential calculations experience integer rollover faults, causing severe overall rating drops despite excellent match form. Calendar scheduling algorithms generate overlapping fixtures within twenty-four hours during late-season domestic and continental tournaments. Regenerated free agent players with overly inflated beginning overall ratings. Opposing computer artificial intelligence remains locked into passive defensive passing loops while avoiding forward progression on competitive difficulty settings. MISSING KITS LICENSING DEFICITS AND ASSET RECYCLING Numerous licensed clubs remain entirely stripped of their official third alternate kits, with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Ipswich Town among several top-flight clubs missing confirmed authentic designs. Hundreds of team jerseys across licensed domestic tiers lack primary front, back, and sleeve sponsor branding due to unfinalized clearance agreements, leaving squads competing in stripped, sponsorless generic templates. Multiple clubs across lower European divisions and secondary leagues are operating with recycled kit assets directly carried over from the prior calendar year release without updated colorways, collar cuts, or updated league badge placements.28Views0likes0CommentsCan't save loan player squad numbers and bench in position order
When you go to change numbers of loan players it comes up with the squad numbers of their parent club and you can't rearrange the bench in position order it resets and messes it up everytime you back out the teamsheet. (cm edited title)Solved26Views1like1CommentBench. Unrealistic Transfers and squad number changes
On my manager career mode it wont let you have your bench in positional order and resets after every save and can't change loan players squad number as it shows those of their parent club. On player career mode my team have signed 4 goalkeepers. A few outfield players then take current players squad numbers instead of getting those available.Solved59Views2likes1CommentEA FC 27 Career Mode Review — Frustrating Career Mode
I’ve put a pretty serious amount of time into EA FC 27 Career Mode now, and honestly, I’m conflicted. On the pitch, when the game works, FC 27 can be fantastic. I’ve had some of the most enjoyable Career Mode matches I’ve played in years. The gameplay can feel genuinely challenging, especially on Ultimate, and once I adjusted the sliders, I found a much better balance where players still make mistakes based on their attributes but aren’t constantly fighting the controls. The dribbling, passing and first touches can feel much more natural than they did initially. But Career Mode itself has a lot of systems that make me question whether EA actually play-tested a long-term save. My biggest issue right now is the transfer system. I had a January window where I negotiated several transfers. Five players were involved, with roughly £69m committed. Only one actually joined immediately. The others showed that they were joining when the transfer window opened, while the money was already being deducted from my available budget. That’s incredibly frustrating because it effectively removes money from your budget while giving you no usable players during the window when you actually need them. In previous FIFA/FC games, future-window transfers generally made sense because the money wasn’t effectively locked away from you in the same way. Here, it feels like I’m being punished for planning ahead. And this isn’t happening in a rebuild where I’m signing 15 players. I’m managing a club that has gone from promotion → Premier League 5th → FA Cup winner → European football, and I’m trying to build the squad logically for a title challenge. I need to be able to trust the transfer system. Scouting and recruitment is another major problem. I’ve found the scouting system incredibly slow and, more importantly, extremely buggy. I spent roughly an hour going through scouting reports trying to find the right targets — players who fit what I needed, had the right attributes, and, most importantly, actually showed enough interest in joining my club. That’s already a ridiculous amount of time to spend just trying to identify realistic transfer targets. But then you get to the actual transfer stage and it gets even worse. Even after spending all that time finding players who are interested and negotiating deals, the game can apparently take your money and then not actually give you the players. So what exactly was the point of the scouting system? I’m spending an hour digging through buggy scouting reports to find players with the right attributes and the right interest level, specifically so I can make realistic transfers — and then the transfer system turns around and says, essentially, “thanks for the money, we’ll let you know when your players actually exist.” That makes the entire recruitment process feel completely disconnected. And I’m not talking about trying to sign Mbappé or Bellingham. I’m looking for young CBs, fullbacks, midfielders and promising squad players, and somehow Arsenal, Manchester United, Aston Villa, etc. constantly seem to swoop in and buy the players I’m targeting. I’m trying to build a realistic squad, and the game makes every step of doing that unnecessarily difficult. It makes recruitment feel less like squad building and more like fighting the game’s transfer algorithm. Player sales also need serious work. Career Mode constantly creates situations where you have too many players, but actually getting rid of them can be ridiculously difficult. You can have players who aren’t part of your plans, but finding realistic buyers and actually moving them on feels unnecessarily complicated. This creates a domino effect: Can’t sell players → squad gets bloated → can’t register/manage squad properly → have to reject new players → transfer budget gets tied up → recruitment becomes a nightmare. A long-term Career Mode shouldn’t feel like you’re fighting the menus more than you’re managing the football club. Financials are also bizarre. This one really bothers me. You can have a successful season, qualify for Europe, win trophies and generate a huge amount of revenue, but the money you actually receive as transfer budget doesn’t always feel remotely proportional to the success you’ve achieved. I had a season where the club generated a huge amount of league-related income, yet my actual transfer budget didn’t reflect that in a way that felt logical. If I’m managing a club that massively overachieved, won a major domestic trophy and qualified for Europe, the financial progression should reflect that. Squad development is another issue. The game has all these systems designed around long-term squad building, but the AI transfer market can completely undermine it. You find a young player. You scout him. You plan to sign him. Another club buys him. You find another player. Same thing happens. Eventually you stop feeling like a manager building a squad and start feeling like you’re trying to exploit whatever players the game hasn’t already taken. And then there’s gameplay. This is probably the most complicated part of my review because I actually really like the gameplay when it works. But there are moments where the game feels like it is artificially fighting you. Players can feel extremely heavy or “stuck.” First touches can sometimes feel completely disconnected from what you’re trying to do. Player switching can be inconsistent. There are situations where you clearly press a button and the game either delays the action or seems to ignore it. On Ultimate, I don’t want the game to make my players artificially incompetent. I want the AI to beat me because it played better football. There’s a huge difference between: “That was a brilliant attack from the AI.” and “My player literally wouldn’t respond to what I pressed.” The first is challenging. The second is frustrating. Thankfully, after adjusting sliders, I’ve found the gameplay much more enjoyable, and I haven’t wanted to keep messing with them. So I know there’s a genuinely good football game underneath all of this. The frustrating part is that Career Mode has so much potential. I’ve actually had an incredible save. I took Coventry City into the Premier League. First season: Finished 5th Won the FA Cup Qualified for Europe Second season: Competing for the Premier League title Finished top of the Europa League league phase Still in the Europa knockout stages Reached the FA Cup semifinal Built a squad with actual depth and young players That’s exactly what Career Mode is supposed to be. I’ve had matches that felt like absolute cinema. I’ve had huge comebacks, title races, European nights, cup finals, academy players scoring, backup players becoming heroes, etc. That’s why the broken systems are so frustrating. I’m invested in the save. I WANT to keep playing it. But when I have to spend more time worrying about whether my £70m worth of transfers are actually going to show up than worrying about my next opponent, something is wrong. Overall Gameplay: 8/10 when it works Career Mode concept: 9/10 Career Mode systems: 4/10 Transfers/recruitment: 3/10 Scouting: 3/10 Financial progression: 4/10 Long-term squad management: 4/10 Overall: 5/10(im being generous) There is a genuinely great Career Mode buried underneath FC 27. But EA needs to stop treating Career Mode like a collection of separate features and start making the systems actually work together. Transfers, scouting, finances, squad registration, player development, AI recruitment and club progression all need to function as one ecosystem. Right now, too often, they don’t. And that’s a shame because when FC 27 actually lets you manage your club and play football without fighting the game itself, it’s **bleep** brilliant.585Views9likes5CommentsPlayer’s requesting transfer due to playing time
Is anyone else experiencing issues with their players morale in manager career? I am doing Real madrid save and so far 4 player have requested a loan or a transfer. For example, yan diomande has requested a loan due to “ lack of playing time”. Diomande has played 18 games for me so far meanwhile vini jr and mbappe have played 22 and 23 games. So make it make sense. I also have rudiger and trent wanting to leave on a transfer even tho they play plenty of games also. And lunin wanting to leave on loan also, even tho he’s a backup keeper on a sporadic role. So it just confuses me tbh. I hope someone from EA sees this so they can fix it. It’s also messing with the dynamic ovr (diomande went down to a 80 ovr) because they just get unhappy and it makes no sense especially since they have plenty of playing time.34Views1like1CommentEA FC 27

Even after the recent patch players still request transfers for no reason. I keep a player in reserves while they are injured, they come back to full health, start the next game, then demand a transfer for lack of playing time. Seriously? A player had 8 months left on his contract, so I renewed it for 5 years. A few days after the extension was finalized, he asked to “discuss his wages considering his contribution to the team.” Obviously I couldn’t do this, since we just agreed a contract. A few weeks later, “we were going to talk about my contract?” And then a transfer request. It’s laughable at this point. When you enquire to buy a player and decide against it, they get transferred to a different team every time. So if I want other team’s rosters to remain somewhat stable, I have to monitor who I enquire to buy? Stupid. I want to send out enquiries and not have them force some unrealistic sale to another team every time. The bench resets order after closing the team management screen. Not a huge deal but this is just so frustrating. If the devs played the game for 2 seconds they would notice all of this. I can’t believe these issues continue to persist, and we fall for it every year. I do like some of the changes in manager mode. It shows a sliver of ambition, but when the bar is the floor, you know the rest.39Views6likes0CommentsManager carrer mode Transfer bug PS5
I am playing Manager Career mode and I signed two Free Agents during October (outside the official transfer window). The contract negotiations were successful, and the wages/budget were deducted. In the Transfer Hub, the players are listed as "signed". However, they are completely missing from my Squad Hub and Team Management. They never arrived in my actual squad.51Views3likes1CommentTitle Update 1.0.3: Zero Gamebreaking Issues in Manager Career Addressed
After starting a new career mode save today after the update, nothing has been done to patch any of the more than ten broken elements in Manager Career mode. Only minor change from the update is: In some cases during Manager Career, players may have secretly requested a transfer without sending any prior messages or complaints, even if their morale was high. What is the point of receiving a player message saying they have already submitted a transfer request, nothing can be done to prevent the outcome, just more spam added to the game (personal option should be an option to disable Player Conversations; same as the previous three or four years, just annoying whinning from cry baby players about playing time and wages). In the latest career start had five players submit a transfer request for no reason in the first three months of the save, just quit and uninstalled the game again. EA developers: stop wasting time patching the least benefiicial bugs and glitches in the game, start with the most pervasive and gamebreaking first, then if time permits, be concerned with lesser events. What the career mode gaming community wants and expects to be patched (short list, only a portion of real problems): Code the game properly for Squad Role playing time. Crucial and Important players should easily be substituted off the bench in more than ten matches over the course of fifty-five match season without submitting transfer requests. Players with Rotational and Sporadic squad roles need to have playing time calculations reduced by sixty-five percent to match realistic expectations. During the course of an average career mode season, should be simple to navigate squad rotation allowing bench players gametime without triggering transfer requests. In real world football across most leagues, less than thirty percent of clubs have one player in a year submit a transfer request, and the number of clubs that have three is less than two percent. There must be a revised game code that allows the manager one last opportunity to appease the player after a transfer request has been submitted, either more playing time or a new contract with improved terms. Common event with real football clubs for player to complain and submit request, only to later rescind after milestones achieved. Nearly every match against CPU opponent there are Crucial and Important players missing from the starting eleven, either substituted into matches in the eightieth minute, or never appear and are not injured. Players in CPU club squads must also submit transfer requests for realism. The community is done with the double standard that never applies to CPU clubs for any number of issues. Still have no method of renewing player contracts, has been broken since closed beta testing. When resigning a player the terms do not get applied to the game, the player ends up leaving on free transfer, and of course that player submits a transfer request first. Patch the broken Dynamic OVR system where players gain four points or more in a month, demand a new contract, and then submit a transfer request if the manager is unable or unwilling to offer a new contract. Players that sign long-term contracts (four years or more) must play the majority of the time, perhaps two-thirds, before allowed to even ask for new contract. This game is not Madden 27 where players have full control over contract negotiations. In real world football the club board of directors and manager have autonomy for offering new contracts, and often do so when players still have three or fours left to increase release clauses or reward a player out of free will, not because artificially forced to. The entire player contract renewal system implemented in FC 26 is complete backwards and does not reflect real world events. At this point, tired of constantly writing the well known issues in Manager Career mode, they all have been documented in this and other forums, socials, and directly reported to EA Sports. Stop wasting time and other resources on patching minor issues that have zero impact on the game.94Views4likes2CommentsPlayers dont receive proposes..
I’ve been playing FC 27 since launch, and I’ve noticed that across 3 transfer windows, I’ve received only 1 offer, even though I have 30 players listed for transfer. This is despite the fact that we won the League Two title and the EFL Trophy and are on the rise. Is anyone else having the same problem? EA, fix this quickly! The game wasn’t free!54Views1like0Comments
