Python Upgrade Coming Soon
Hi everyone, I want to give you a heads up that in an upcoming release, we will be upgrading the version of Python used by the game. We currently use Python 3.3.5 and will be moving to Python 3.7.0. Once this change is released, all compiled script mods will completely stop working. Note that in this new version of Python, the .pyo extension is replaced by .pyc, see https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0488/ We know this will have impact on your script mod authoring pipelines so wanted to provide notice in advance so you can be ready for the change when it arrives. To assist, I’ve attached the Python scripts from the currently released version of the game (v1.46.18) recompiled under Python 3.7.0. If all goes as planned, this change should arrive in November. Note that there will not be any fundamental changes to tuning data, other than the typical types of changes we make to tuning for patches. Thanks! SGMS
cas not opening since new update
whenever i try to get into cas it is just stuck at the loading screen, i saw someone else say it was happening to them and they removed the multiple columns mods and it worked after, i removed the mod, repaired the game and retared it multiple times and its still not working and just on the loading screen, is there anything else i can do to try to fix it?15KViews157likes140Comments
CAS Not Loading After Update
I just updated my game and when I went into my current household and went to CAS so I could see the new base game updates it wouldn't load. It was stuck on the plumbob loading screen no matter what I tried. I repaired the game which I've never had to do after an update and I updated the mods I had that could be updated so far. The Sims 4 totally broke after update 23-7-24
My game totally broke after yesterdays update. It freezes after a minute, removes stuff from my inventory etc etc. Tried to restart the game a couple of times only to realize a lot of people experience the same issue. The game is unplayable.7.3KViews159likes62Comments
Sims 4 Broken After Newest Update July 2024
After the new patch update yesterday, I can no longer save my game or open that menu up to do anything. Another big issue I'm facing is, every time I go to manage worlds or create a sim, my screen goes black and does nothing. The strange thing is I can still see my sims pictures down the bottom and interact with the environment around me, I just can't see what I'm interacting with. It's completely broken my game. I've verified the integrity of my game, restarted my pc and re-tried it this morning, but am still facing the same issues. I just have to keep closing my game via task manager every time because the black screen never disappears. Game not functioning since new update
First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! The Sims 4 CAS won't open after update.
Hello guys, My game ran the newest update and after loading up the game. Create A Sim will NOT work. It stays at the loading screen on a continuous loop. Is anyone else having this isse? I have had to force close the game each time because it simpley wont work. I used minimal MODS, I do have a lot of maxis match CC but everything was fine until after the update. CAS STILL broken after newest update
Just came here to say, for the unfortunate 5th day in a row, that CAS is still causing my entire game to crash and I still have to force-exit through task manager (I describe the full issue in my previous post). Atp just give me my money back if I’m not allowed to play the game I paid money for. They’re not even addressing the CAS issue at all either, just the other bugs which they’ve already updated more than once.
