Sims lagging? A bug? Or is it me? 😅
Since purchasing and playing the Enchanted by Nature pack, I’ve noticed my game lagging. (i.e., lagging when attempting to pause, change sims, etc.). I have just updated the game to install the latest patch. This seems to have fixed some issues, but I’m still having trouble with lagging since purchasing this pack. I love this pack and am so desperate to get to gameplay, but continue to run into trouble when trying. 😂😅 I also am unable to complete certain functions with infants such as Tummy Time because the game thinks my Sim is in water when they are not (super random!) Nannies on the lot will not take care of the infants, or it takes them ages to (what the heck am I paying those nannies for?! 😂) I do play with mods, but have the same experience when uninstalling my mods. Anyone else having this experience? From what I can tell, my issue is mainly with directing my sims to complete tasks, lagging, and things seemingly related to infants specifically. I should add that I have not added any new mods, and my game was running fine prior to the pack release & most recent base game update. I’ve verified my game files through Steam as well. Thanks!
Enchanted by Nature - unable to play at all
Hi All, needing some further advice please. Absolutely stumped as I've read just about every post I can find to tell me what to do so I can play again. Since the new game I haven't been able to play or even open any Sims 4 games and I even bought a second EBN on the EA App as I thought maybe I'd stuffed the original download somehow? So far I have - Completed several repairs via the manage function on the app and five full uninstall and reinstall of the Sims 4. I have tried running it as an administrator, cleared caches on the EA app too. I've updated my drivers for my NVidia. I even tried that directx11 text where I added it to the game and tried to launch again. Still getting the failure to launch on our end text. I'm eager to learn how to fix this as I am at a loss as to what could possibly be wrong. So, I beg all of you superpowered technical savvy folks for guidance.
Annoying input lag?
I've been having constant input lag and congestion symbols when I'm playing today, since the update dropped. It's almost unplayable at this point, when it was working fine the rest of the week. I have a brand new laptop with these specs: processor: Intel Ultra 9 275HX gpu: Nvidia 5070ti (12GB) RAM: 32GB ssd: 1tb I have the settings adjusted to getting high frames - so nothing is set on ultra (usually mid to disable things that cause GPU load), but it keeps randomly stuttering. My usual FPS are 220-230. Like I said, it was fine yesterday, but now the input lag and congestion is... constant, like every couple of minutes I'll be stuttering. Also my Internet is great. It's not an Internet problem.
Futties: Champignons Battle not tracking
Hello there. This is the second week with the Futties champions battle group objective that its not tracking any progress, so I'm missing out on all these amazing rewards. Today is the second week of : Futties Battle Champions that kicked off a few hours ago and again no progression is tracked on the challanges. Following group challanges from Futties: Chamions Battle not tracking :Score 5, Win 5, score 15, win 9, play13, win 11 The first week it also did not track my progression. so I missen out on al the rewards. Its ruining my game experience. Please fix This, help me, can tou guy compensatie with rewards from first week ? And what happens if yiu guys cant fix is this week ? Then again i will miss out on the rewards. Thanks !
Sims 4 wont launch after update
I have had the same issues playing Sims 4 as other players ie cant drag trash to sink or bin, sims returning from school and work early if i travel from home lot or back to home lot, issues with queue and speed etc. After a few days of playing with the issues the game will no longer load. I use the ea app, i press play it says it is launching and does the normal launch process however the game does not launch and the play button goes back to blue and the last played will change to when i tried to launch. I have tried clearing cache, removing mods and cc, repairing sims with mods in folder, repairing without mods in folder, deleting ea app and redownloading it etc. I contacted ea but they have not gave any options that worked. On reddit i found other people experiencing the same issue and do not have a fix either so i know the issue is not my laptop. Does anyone know how to fix this?
sims initialization error at startup since july 2025
i've been having this issue ever since there has been a new Sims update, however in the past my game would automatically fix itself once I installed a Windows update (I am on windows 10). I have already tried reinstalling and uninstalling the game, I have also repaired the game multiple times, I also disabled my windows firewall and still get the same error. My Mods folder has been taken out during all of these trials. I have also tried getting the game to create a new The Sims 4 folder. I would drag The Sims 4 folder onto my desktop, repair the game, and a new folder would not be created. And when i try to launch the game without the folder in documents, i would get the "sims is already running" error instead. I have also made a different windows account and i would also get the "sims is already running" error on that new windows account. I feel like i have tried almost all solutions without completely resetting my entire PC, which I would not like to do since I would have to manually uninstall and reinstall all of my Sims 3 CDs (I have the entire collection), and purchase a huge external hard drive to keep all of my personal files. this is very upsetting when i would like to participate in the nature's calling event before it ends.
